I only post a small fraction of my paintings online, because Im worried about the potential of AI stealing it. I believe true fans will pay a small membership to have access to a creators full body of work. I think positing consistency is key, but avoid sharing a lot of your finished/polished work. Share snippets of close-ups, clips, (in my case a short clip of brush work or paint colors bleeding into one another for example) etc, so you dont give it all away. Most of my buyers have come from offline and only one has come from Instagram.
I heard a podcast with an artist who "blew up" on social media, and he said it's fine to delete and re-post clips/reels that didnt get traffic before.. sometimes the timing isnt right. Consistency is key but Timing of who sees it is also key. He mentioned reels of his work that he didnt personally think was that great, ended up gaining him loads of followers.
