I was misdiagnosed in 2018 with Chiari malformation type 1, and went back to my doctors in 2021, and had another set of MRI scans done to reveal CSF leak. Had an epidural blood patch done at the lumbar region, which in turn did not resolve the problem. After this not working, I underwent a CT Myelography to pinpoint the site of tear in my dura mater. That was 2022. Two years later (after chasing one set of hospitals) as I’m under watch through two, i have an appointment to discuss surgery. However, the hospital doing the surgery were trying to book me in for surgery without any sort of discussion!🤦🏾♀️ And now they want to rush surgery for next week! I am Not mentally nor emotionally prepared for this! So I’m going to see if I can put it off until after Xmas. I’m managing the symptoms of SIH quite well, and recently came back from holiday! I want to live my life without this pain though. And live my life with my partner, without the symptoms of SIH.
Imagine putting a high pitched tome at the beginning of a video about SIH 😅 brutal. I have SIH she thst noise blew my head off.
