I actually kitted out a bike with homemade racks, front and rear, specifically for fishing. We don't have canals here (Rhode Island, USA) but there are a lot of woodland parks with small ponds that are only accessible on foot or by biking down the fire roads. Good to see I'm not the only one.
Really enjoyed watching this
The last time i did any fishing was about 20 years ago from the stern deck of the MV Ross Revenge but i have just bought a rod reel and lures, im now living in Lowestoft and im going to do some sea fishing. I wish my dad was still around when i was your age, you have some great memories that you are building together but im 62 now and he passed the day after my 18th birthday, treasure every moment with your dad.
R.I.P., Dad Stewart! You'll see him again!!!!!!!
I fitted a rear basket on my bike with a large DIY rod holder that can hold five rods. I've got my tackle box, bait bucket, 1.5 liter water bottle, bike tools, and whatever else I need for the day.
Your dad is ace wish my old man was like him your a lucky lad
It was a joy watching you fellas in the UK fish pike! Seems a different ballgame from here in Minnesota. Although by our standards your pike are awfully small, they look like a blast to catch from those canals, and the scenery in those villages can't be beat!
Keith Kempenich the pike were jacks (young pike ). They do grow to over 20 pounds in other bigger rivers .
The North American rod caught record is smaller than the record Pike caught in Europe.
great stuff even w/o fish, really like seeing the local terrain - looks way more rural than I would have imagined!
Hey im Robin I am an avid young fisherman and plan on becoming making my own fishing channel when im older and have the wisdom you do. Am I too late for the dvd competition..OW and you guys are TOTALLY AWESOME! !!!
Another great vid Graeme and mike. It's a great method and you don't realise how far you've traveled . I miss living in london cos my friend and I , use to start at bow east london and end up in Tottenham north london in no time .
That bunker was soo awesome
Graeme is just great.
Great video guys. I will definitely be giving cycling and fishing a go. Not been getting any fish at my local canal but with my bike i will be able to go a lot further. Thanks.
I slice wine corks into sections, cut a slice into them with a hacksaw and use them a treble guards. Much cheaper, especially if you like wine!
I didn't see one pike on a bike. But it was awesome show anyway.be cool guyz.
Awesome, really enjoyed this. I bike a lot and from time to time get great benefit from using it to get around looking for swims. Thanks for this, made my day :-)
