    I used to be so jealous of the islands that were always featured in popular tour videos, or the insanely picturesque islands all over IG and got discouraged that mine didn't look as great, but over time I just did my best and created builds and areas that I loved without feeling the need to compare them to others.

      That is such a great realization to have come to! I know how difficult and discouraging it can feel when we compare our islands to other player's islands. But, when you make areas that YOU enjoy because you enjoy them, it's a much better feeling and experience. Thank you so much for watching! 🤗

      Exactly!! Make the island you want to play with! It's truly yours.

    Right now I’m working on an Asian and Jungle theme. It’s so much fun, my old island was fairycore so this is so different and I love it.

      That sounds like such a fun combination! Switching to a new and unfamiliar theme can have its hiccups, but it's also fun to get your mind thinking about the island in a new way. I really hope that you continue to enjoy exploring your new theme idea! 🤗

    After resetting a ton, I can say something I learned was to take a look on how your island could improve before I reset, and that’s how I stuck to the Island I had now.

      That's a really smart idea! I absolutely agree that sometimes all we need to do is take a step back and think about how we could rework our island to improve it, instead of starting all over again. Thank you so much for watching!! 🤗

      I learned that I enjoy the game more if I don’t have a theme and just build when I have inspiration. On that island I learned that I love building springcore so I started a springcore island. I also learned that I get less burnt out if I focus on gameplay and decorating and don’t decorate if I don’t want too.

      I learned:
      Do your best, but PERFECT is the enemy of GOOD.
      I've learned to let my ideas flow naturally. Don't force them. Don't overbuild. Less is more, at least for me. Focus on function as much as form. Use the natural landscape and natural elements as a palette 🎨 (and don't listen to Isabelle's island evals-- she's such a stick in the mud sometimes!).
      My Island's theme revealed itself to ME-- I couldn't force it. It's definitely art imitating life: Minnesotacore! Think cabins, snow, evergreens, lots of water...campfires, tents, logs!
      I'm loving it

    5 islands 😯 is crazy! I have been making a forest/spring core island for 5 months and I just have to do the beaches. I’m now realizing after watching though is that I haven’t finished my island because I wanted it to be perfect and it really doesn’t have to be. Great video keep up the great work☺️💙

    When I made my second island (kidcore) I quickly realized that more city like islands are definitely not my thing lol. I was always much more impressed with myself when I did foresty island like fairycore and cottegecore! But like you said, my kidcore island doesnt have to be perfect, and now I think I'll just go ahead and stick with it! Great advice!!

    • @AlvinInc
      @AlvinInc  3 роки тому +1

      It's awesome that you realized that you tend to prefer more forest-like islands. Hopefully, in choosing to stick with your city-like kidcore island, you'll gain even more insight and inspiration that you can take with you into future islands that you make. As long as you're enjoying the journey and making fun memories, that's all that matters! 🤗

      Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm excited to start working on my next island. I'm planning to do something very different from what I've done before. 🥳

    My acnh journey has been though being that this is my very first time playing acnh. I’ve been playing the game since launch and haven’t finished an island. I always see different creators making these beautiful builds and I sometimes second guess my creations and get burnout. It sucks that we have this expectation of how our islands should be/look but one advice I have for everyone is just play to play the game. Have fun with it.

    • @AlvinInc

      That is so well said! It can absolutely feel a bit disheartening at times when we see other islands that make us question what we're doing, but you said it perfectly. We have to remember to just play the game and have fun with it.
      I hope that you continue to have fun with your island and make the things that you enjoy and want to create. Play to play. 🥳

    I'm so baffled how you could make 5 amazing islands in one year when I can't even finish my 1 😅😅 your tip about accepting that things won't be perfect is something I definitely want to take forward with me

    • @AlvinInc
      @AlvinInc  3 роки тому +1

      It's definitely a challenge. When we get into the mindset of trying to make something perfect, it's almost like walking into a wall. It's important to design and build what you want to build, but remembering to be flexible and learning to keep moving forward can be also helpful at times. Thanks so much for watching! 🤗

    Yeah think before you reset lol.
    But I reset my island for 5$ and I don’t regret it.
