  • If you want to see Switzerland’s old charm and how a typical Swiss village looked like before everything was modernized you should definitely check the Ballenberg museum. Since 1978 old farmhouses, stables, bakehouses or chalets are no longer demolished when modern buildings are built in the city but instead they are brought into this open air museum so people of all ages can come and admire them.
    Nowadays, there are over 100 historic buildings in this museum which together with the indigenous plants and crops that are cultivated here and over 250 native livestock species, perfectly paint the picture of how rural life in Switzerland looks like.

    Thank you for sharing this video. Such a lovely place, my girls are happy to see the beautiful lake, the old style of houses, and the surrounding green areas. First time to know that weaving is also part of the old culture of Switzerland. Oh, your girls will love the movie, The Sound of Music. We love them that we watched it more than ten times. Maybe you guys can visit Austria too and visit the real set of the movie. Take care and sending prayers to your whole family from the Philippines.

      You and your children might be interested to see the filming I did there. I made a 5-video playlist which you could begin at ua-cam.com/play/PLuJbg6eLC7Y2tOLOICmQ_RlRYBMO8oPd8.html. I have done something similar for 4 other Northern European Open Air Museums, Gifhorn, Detmold, Hagen, and Arnheim; and recently found two to "study" in Austria.

    This reminds me of a much smaller living museum we have here in Virginia called the Frontier Culture museum. They took actual houses from countries where the first European settlers of the Shenandoah mountains emigrated from. It's really neat. I loved going into the English and German houses from the 1700s.

      Kingston city and area is beautiful, but wow for where you are living now. Lol. What a nice surprise you come from Canada. I live in London, Ontario. About 2 hours drive west on the 401 from Toronto. Thank you for the kind reply. Seriously, I am noticing the really good job you and your family are doing on your videos. Kudos to you all for such an amazing job.

    • @klauszoti9626
      @klauszoti9626 6 років тому

      Yes, Eduardo asked everyone if knows Brazil, but he put a singer / actress from the 50's called Carmem Miranda, you said he was an actress, but in fact she is not Brazilian, she is Portuguese from Portugal. Eduardo does not know Brazil so well ...Congratulations, your daughters are lovely.
