Middle Easter people were present in Kerala at that time including Greeks Romans Arabs Jews and Iranians. They used to travel to far east during that time . ഈശ്വരൻ സർവ്വവ്യാപിയാണ്. ആ ഈശ്വരനെ ആരാധിക്കുന്നത് ആരാധിക്കുന്നവന്റെ തൃപ്തിക്കു വേണ്ടിയാണ്, അല്ലാതെ നരകത്തിൽ കൊണ്ടിട്ടു ചുടാതിരിക്കാനല്ല. സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ സ്ഥാനം നേടി രമിക്കാൻ വേണ്ടിയും അല്ല. ഓരോ ജീവജാലങ്ങളും കർമ്മങ്ങളിലൂടെ, പുനർജന്മങ്ങളിലൂടെ കടന്ന് പരമമായ പുനർജന്മമില്ലാത്ത അവസ്ഥയെ പ്രാപിച്ചു ബ്രഹ്മത്തിൽ വിലയം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു. ഈശ്വരൻ എല്ലാ ചരാചരങ്ങളുടെയും സൃഷ്ടികർത്താവ് എന്നനിലയിൽ എല്ലാത്തിനേയും ഒരേപോലെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു. അവിടെ ഭീഷണിയോ പ്രലോഭനമോ ഇല്ല. ഈശ്വരനെ ആരാധിക്കണം പുകഴ്ത്തണം എന്ന പിടിവാശിയൊന്നും ആ സർവ്വശക്തനായ ഈശ്വരന്റെ ഏഴയലത്ത് കൂടി പോലും പോവുകയില്ല. ഇടനിലക്കാർക്ക് ഇവിടെ വിശേഷാൽ യാതൊരു സ്ഥാനവുമില്ല.
സ്വർഗത്തിൽ ഉള്ള കല്ലിനു മഹത്വം ഉള്ളത് കൊണ്ടല്ലേ വളരെ ബഹുമാനപൂർവ്വം നബി തങ്ങൾ അതിനെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തിയതും കഅബയിൽ ഉയർത്തി വെച്ചതും. അല്ലാതെ ആരാധിക്കാനല്ലല്ലോ. അള്ളാഹു ബഹുമാനിച്ചതിനെ ബഹുമാനിക്കാനാണ് ഇസ്ലാം നിസ്‌കർഷിക്കുന്നത്.

What Dr. MGS Narayanan says is not correct. We make statues of great people and install it at vantage points for showing respect to them only. At some houses and institutions we see framed photographs of some people who might have been dear to the family members or the owners and employees of those institutions. Sometimes, the photographs may appear garlanded and incense sticks may be burning in front of them! Does this mean that the people there are worshiping those respected people? No. They do it as showing respect to those departed great men! Just like that only statues of gods and goddesses are installed in temples and houses and people who worship them show their obeisance to them! The statues and decorated photographs serve to instill a deep sense of respect and obeisance in the minds of ordinary people! It is actually foolish to categorize it as worship and make those statues as idols. The prophet Muhammad was a fool! That is why he forbade to make any painting or drawing depicting him! In fact, he prohibited painting and drawing during his time! Not only painting and drawing, all other forms of popular art like music, acting etc. were forbidden by him! He was such a damn fool! Actually, he was against all types of imaging art. If muslims follow his instructions scrupulously, they should abstain from all things with imaging technology like photography, tv, mobile phone, cinema, computer etc. etc. without which modern life will be almost impossible! So, they pretend that they don't know anything about Muhammad's edict in this regard!

I claim that I know more about Muhammad than you do. He prohibited all kinds of popular art without any reason whatsoever! What you have got to say about it? If you scrupulously follow Muhammad you should not take any photograph, you should not watch TV, you should not listen to music,. you should not see cinema or drama, you should not use mobile phone and computer and as I said you should not use any gadget which uses imaging technology and you should shun music too. My question is: what is the status of music in Islam. “You see, this is what you call a bad habit; it all depends on the degree of the habit and the nature of the music. The music in itself, as a whole, cannot be dubbed as bad. Even wine in the Holy Qur’an is not dubbed as totally bad. Even juggling and these things are not dubbed as entirely bad. What is described, the principle described, is a thing which has overwhelmingly, or more than 50% bad in it should be abandoned and rejected and a thing which has less than 50% of bad things, its better things should be utilised and the bad things avoided. Now music falls in the no man’s land in fact; it is neither forbidden entirely nor permitted without any conditions. We know at the time of Hadhrat Muhammad(saw) when he walked into Madinah, the ladies of Madinah, welcoming him, sang a song of welcome plus they beat on the drum, which is called daff. Now, that was a sort of music which was available to the Arabs; nobody can say that it was not music. But this was not the practice of Rasulullah(saw) [(the Holy Prophet)] to permit the Companions to go on enjoying music revelries and music sessions, and to be given up to music. That was not their habit. Instead they enjoyed [the] recitation of the Qur’an, or listening to the good verses, or meaningful verses, of great poets. But gradually their taste was developed and they shifted from poetry to the Qur’an ultimately. So, it requires some time of patience to improve the quality of your taste, and without that to abandon certain things would be rather cruel. In these things it is a matter of taste. In some other things the matter of prohibition is fast and hard and you can’t change it. You can’t say I have to improve my taste for water before I can stop drinking wine. No, no, that will not be permissible because wine is forbidden and what is forbidden is forbidden, but music does not fall into that category. For that you can acquire a wise approach of a systematic, gradual deliverance from that habit. And as far as pop music is concerned I don’t know how people can tolerate that! Just sheer nonsense! I don’t disrespect music altogether, because I know the classical music had some nobility in it. It brought out the best in man, in a way that man would not understand. But the music writers were noble minded. They wanted to bring, even if the theme was miserable, they wanted to bring the question of misery of others to the listeners of music - that the others were suffering. They became sad, without anybody naming the people, without any tale being told in words. The music delivered all these things, and they became sad and started crying, not knowing for what, but when they came out of the music halls they were nobler people than before. So the music served a purpose, and a noble purpose. Here in the pop music when people leave that hall, they leave with some sort of madness and craving for something they cannot have, and for that even they have to go to kill others or mug others for some drug or something; that elation, artificial elation, requires further help of drugs. So the taste left behind by this modern ‘so-called music’ is ugly and evil, and the society under its influence is becoming uglier and more permissive, more careless of the traditional values, so this music is obviously evil and sinful. So I can’t treat every music alike; that is why I said you have to be wise and be selective in your choice. [An] occasional brush with music cannot be considered a practice whereby you will be sent to hell, I assure you not! But, an occasional brush with music which draws you into itself at the cost of higher values, at the cost of memory of Allah, at the cost of prayers, where you are taken over by music and that becomes all your ambition and obsession; if that happens then you are a loser, obviously.”
Muhammed Rafi: I told so many things prohibited by (false) Prophet Muhammad of which music is but only one item! The main thing is the Imaging Technology which encompasses all modern gadgets like TV, mobile, computer, camera etc. etc. without which modern life is almost impossible! He was against the idols of his time which is understandable, but when he prohibited it, he prohibited painting, drawing etc. which were very popular at that time! That is where he committed his foolishness! Likewise he prohibited music, musical instruments, acting etc. too! It was really very foolish of him to say the least! No music can be termed as bad as long as it gives mental happiness and listening pleasure to some people! "ഞങ്ങൾ ആദ്യം കല്ലുകൾ ആരാധിച്ചിരുന്നു.ഒന്നാമത്തേതിനെക്കാൾ മെച്ചമായ ഒരു കല്ല് കണ്ടെത്തുമ്പോൾ നമ്മൾ ആദ്യത്തെ വലിച്ചെറിയുകയും രണ്ടാമത്തെ കല്ലു എടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുമായിരുന്നു.എന്നാൽ നമുക്ക് ഒരുകല്ലെടുക്കാൻകഴിയുന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ, നാംകുറച്ചുമണ്ണ്ശേഖരിക്കുകയും അതിന്മേൽആടുകളെകെട്ടുകയും ,ആട് അതിൻറെ പാൽ അതിന്റെ മുകളിൽഒഴിക്കുകയുംചെയ്യും.അതിനു ചുറ്റും Tawaf(ഏഴു വട്ടം അതിനെ ചുറ്റുക)നിർവഹിക്കുകയുംചെയ്യും.റജബ്മാസത്തിലെത്തുമ്പോൾഞങ്ങൾ സൈനികനടപടികൾനിർതും.ഈ മാസം ഇരുമ്പായുധം ഞങ്ങൾ അഴിച്ചുവെക്കും, ഞങ്ങൾ റജബിലെ മാസത്തിലെ ഓരോ കുന്തവും ഇരുമ്പിന്റെയും ഇരുമ്പിന്റെ അമ്പ് നീക്കം ചെയ്യും." (ഈ ഹദീസിൽ വളരെ വെക്തമായി പറയുന്നു A:കല്ലിനെആരാധികാറുണ്ടെന്നും ,കല്ല്അവരുടെദൈവങ്ങളുംആയിരുന്നു. B:കബയെ ചുറ്റുപോലെ അവർ പ്രദിക്ഷണംചെയറുണ്ടായിരുന്ന് എന്നും. 2.അപ്പോൾഈകല്ലിനെആരാധിക്കുന്ന സമ്പ്രദായം ,സത്യത്തിൽമുഹമ്മദ് നിർത്തിയിരുന്നോ ? "മുഹമ്മദ് മക്കയിൽ വരുമ്പോൾഈ കറുത്തകല്ലിനെതൊടുകയുംഅതിനെഏഴുവട്ടംചുറ്റുകയുംചെയ്തിരുന്നു." മറ്റൊരു ഹദീസ് sunnan an Nasi book 24, hadith 2945 ൽ നമ്മുക് കാണാം 'മുഹമ്മദ് കല്ലിനെ തൊടുകയും ചുംബിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നു.' വേറെ ഹദീസ് sahih bhukari book 26 hadhith 667. ൽ കാണാം "ഉമർഎന്നമുഹമ്മദിന്റെഅനുയായിക്കു., ഈ വിഗ്രഹ ആരാധനയോട് താല്പര്യം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നില്ല ,എന്നൽ മുഹമ്മദ് കഅബയിലെ കല്ലിനെചുംബിക്കുന്നത് കണ്ടപ്പോൾ ,ഉമറും ചുംബിക്കാൻ പ്രേരിതന് ആയി " (ഈ രണ്ടാമത്തെ പോയിന്റിൽ നമുക്കു കാണാൻ കഴിയും A:മുഹമതിനു കലിന്മേൽ ഉള്ള ആദ്യത്തെ വിഗ്രഹ ആരാധന ഇപ്പോഴുംതുടർന്നുകൊണ്ടിരുകുന്നതും...., B:തന്റെ അനുയായിയായ് ഉമറിനെ ആവിഗ്രഹആരാധനക്കുപ്രേരിപ്പിക്കുന്നതും കാണം..) 3.റസൂൽ എന്താണ് ഇത്രക് importanceആകല്ലിന്കൊടുക്കുന്നത് ? Answer: ഹാദിസ് jami at -trimidhi book9 hadhith 877 ൽ പറയുന്നു. "ഇതു സ്വർഗത്തിൽ നിന്നും വന്ന കല്ല് ,ആദമിന്റെ പാപം നിമിത്തം കറുത്ത പോയി." ഹദീസ് jami at -trimidhi 961 ൽ കാണാൻ കഴിയും . "അന്ത്യനാളിൽ അള്ളാഹു ഈ കല്ലിനെ രണ്ട് കണ്ണുകളോട് കൂടി ഉയർപ്പിക്കും ,ഈ കല്ലു കാണുകയും സംസാരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും .എന്നിട്ട് കല്ലു പറയും ,ആരൊക്കെയാണ് സത്യത്തിതോടെ എന്നെ വന്ന് തോട്ടതെന്നു....!" 1) Hinduism does INDEED show tolerance to ALL humans...EVEN other religions...what to speak of Hindus ? All the ancient travellers from the greece and china and even the late arabic travellers such as Al-Beruni have written how the ppl used to live happily together performing their respective duties. The unity was so tight that some British Indologists denied the existence of caste in pre-mughal era 😂(which is not true btw). The Mughals and then the Brits were the pioneers in poisoning the minds of the castes towards another and incite an inner conflict amongst the hindus. There was never such a case before. Infact historical records show that the Shudras and Varnashankaras fought more strongly than even the UCs for the sake of dharma.
2) Again a ballant LIE and MISCONCEPTION. The term Hindu occurs in Several scriptures directly also describing their meaning. The replacement of "S" by "H" is not a persian thing but a completely Hindu thing and this trend is shown in the vedas themselves as well as the Panini's Ashtadhyai and also the Dhātu Sūtras. The term Hindu very much existed even before Persians came to India. A general of ancient persian squad was called "Hidu" cuz of his Indian descent(before persian infiltrations).
3) Same old Aryan myth ? LOL. Firstly, the vedas don't support this myth. The dating of the vedas previously dated to 1500BCE has now been shifted to over 2800+ BCE due to the shift of iron age and the pre-dominance of ancient Saraswati River. No ancient literature including the so called "dravidian" ones like the pre-buddhist Sangam Literature talk of any invasion. The scriptures lack any sort of tone which may hint that they invaded India...rather the flora and fauna of the Indian subcontinent(both north and south) mentioned and listing of the tribes of europe and others as mlecchas and the story of them being separated and migrating to other places go contrary to eastward migration. The previously so called "pre-vedic" IVC sites from oldest to later all have significant traces of cultural continuity along with the depiction of vedic gods and also the influence of sanskrit language in their inscriptions as pointed out even by non-indian linguistic scholars. The only claim which remained was the INFAMOUS DNA claim which too was debunked by later studies which showed the considerable frequency of r1a1 haplotype throughout all categoties of Indian citizens.
4) Now this is a very short and easily refutable lie. This surge of so called tribal temple claim surfaced only after a speech of P K Sajeev which incited the clueless Malayarayans to put claims on the temple. But, It was and even now is well connected with the PANDA LAM kottaram. No proof of any demolition before. It is commonly agreed upon that Ayappan is an avatar of Sastha, who is the son of Shiva and Vishnu. Sastha(alleged pre-brahmanical deity) is not a non-brahmanical deity either. It's unlikely that Pandalam royal family would consecrate their Prince, Manikandan, in a non-brahmanical tradition. Seems counter intuitive. This was not a temple established by the commoners or the masses. The temple is mentioned in our scriptures and has connections to Bhagavāna ParashurAma. The first tantris of the temple, at least the first three, were from the Malayara community. But thereafter, the tantris were all Brahmins and there is little evidence to suggest this was anything other than a decision by the Pandalam royal family who executed the administrative powers over the temple.

ഈശ്വരൻ സർവ്വവ്യാപിയാണ്. ആ ഈശ്വരനെ ആരാധിക്കുന്നത് ആരാധിക്കുന്നവന്റെ തൃപ്തിക്കു വേണ്ടിയാണ്, അല്ലാതെ നരകത്തിൽ കൊണ്ടിട്ടു ചുടാതിരിക്കാനല്ല. സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽ സ്ഥാനം നേടി രമിക്കാൻ വേണ്ടിയും അല്ല. ഓരോ ജീവജാലങ്ങളും കർമ്മങ്ങളിലൂടെ, പുനർജന്മങ്ങളിലൂടെ കടന്ന് പരമമായ പുനർജന്മമില്ലാത്ത അവസ്ഥയെ പ്രാപിച്ചു ബ്രഹ്മത്തിൽ വിലയം പ്രാപിക്കുന്നു. ഈശ്വരൻ എല്ലാ ചരാചരങ്ങളുടെയും സൃഷ്ടികർത്താവ് എന്നനിലയിൽ എല്ലാത്തിനേയും ഒരേപോലെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു. അവിടെ ഭീഷണിയോ പ്രലോഭനമോ ഇല്ല. ഈശ്വരനെ ആരാധിക്കണം പുകഴ്ത്തണം എന്ന പിടിവാശിയൊന്നും ആ സർവ്വശക്തനായ ഈശ്വരന്റെ ഏഴയലത്ത് കൂടി പോലും പോവുകയില്ല. ഇടനിലക്കാർക്ക് ഇവിടെ വിശേഷാൽ യാതൊരു സ്ഥാനവുമില്ല.

ഒരു വ്യക്തിയുടെ ശരീരത്തെ നമ്മൾ നോക്കുമ്പോഴുണ്ടാകുന്ന നമ്മുടെ സകൽപ്പ വിചാരങ്ങൾ വെച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ആ വ്യക്തിയെ നമ്മൾ വിലയിരുത്തുന്നു . എന്നാൽ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ മഹത്തരമായ ആ സൃഷ്ടിയെ നമ്മൾ കാണുന്നുമില്ല..!
ഈ അർഥത്തിൽ വിഗ്രഹ ആരാധന നടത്താത്ത ആരും തന്നെ ഇവിടെ ഇല്ല.

What Dr. MGS Narayanan says is not correct. We make statues of great people and install it at vantage points for showing respect to them only. At some houses and institutions we see framed photographs of some people who might have been dear to the family members or the owners and employees of those institutions. Sometimes, the photographs may appear garlanded and incense sticks may be burning in front of them! Does this mean that the people there are worshiping those respected people? No. They do it as showing respect to those departed great men! Just like that only statues of gods and goddesses are installed in temples and houses and people who worship them show their obeisance to them! The statues and decorated photographs serve to instill a deep sense of respect and obeisance in the minds of ordinary people! It is actually foolish to categorize it as worship and make those statues as idols. The prophet Muhammad was a fool! That is why he forbade to make any painting or drawing depicting him! In fact, he prohibited painting and drawing during his time! Not only painting and drawing, all other forms of popular art like music, acting etc. were forbidden by him! He was such a damn fool! Actually, he was against all types of imaging art. If muslims follow his instructions scrupulously, they should abstain from all things with imaging technology like photography, tv, mobile phone, cinema, computer etc. etc. without which modern life will be almost impossible! So, they pretend that they don't know anything about Muhammad's edict in this regard!

Somebody I know has a bad habit of listening to music. My question is: what is the status of music in Islam.
“You see, this is what you call a bad habit; it all depends on the degree of the habit and the nature of the music. The music in itself, as a whole, cannot be dubbed as bad. Even wine in the Holy Qur’an is not dubbed as totally bad. Even juggling and these things are not dubbed as entirely bad. What is described, the principle described, is a thing which has overwhelmingly, or more than 50% bad in it should be abandoned and rejected and a thing which has less than 50% of bad things, its better things should be utilised and the bad things avoided. Now music falls in the no man’s land in fact; it is neither forbidden entirely nor permitted without any conditions. We know at the time of Hadhrat Muhammad(saw) when he walked into Madinah, the ladies of Madinah, welcoming him, sang a song of welcome plus they beat on the drum, which is called daff. Now, that was a sort of music which was available to the Arabs; nobody can say that it was not music. But this was not the practice of Rasulullah(saw) [(the Holy Prophet)] to permit the Companions to go on enjoying music revelries and music sessions, and to be given up to music. That was not their habit. Instead they enjoyed [the] recitation of the Qur’an, or listening to the good verses, or meaningful verses, of great poets. But gradually their taste was developed and they shifted from poetry to the Qur’an ultimately. So, it requires some time of patience to improve the quality of your taste, and without that to abandon certain things would be rather cruel.
In these things it is a matter of taste. In some other things the matter of prohibition is fast and hard and you can’t change it. You can’t say I have to improve my taste for water before I can stop drinking wine. No, no, that will not be permissible because wine is forbidden and what is forbidden is forbidden, but music does not fall into that category. For that you can acquire a wise approach of a systematic, gradual deliverance from that habit.
And as far as pop music is concerned I don’t know how people can tolerate that! Just sheer nonsense! I don’t disrespect music altogether, because I know the classical music had some nobility in it. It brought out the best in man, in a way that man would not understand. But the music writers were noble minded. They wanted to bring, even if the theme was miserable, they wanted to bring the question of misery of others to the listeners of music - that the others were suffering. They became sad, without anybody naming the people, without any tale being told in words. The music delivered all these things, and they became sad and started crying, not knowing for what, but when they came out of the music halls they were nobler people than before. So the music served a purpose, and a noble purpose.
Here in the pop music when people leave that hall, they leave with some sort of madness and craving for something they cannot have, and for that even they have to go to kill others or mug others for some drug or something; that elation, artificial elation, requires further help of drugs. So the taste left behind by this modern ‘so-called music’ is ugly and evil, and the society under its influence is becoming uglier and more permissive, more careless of the traditional values, so this music is obviously evil and sinful.
So I can’t treat every music alike; that is why I said you have to be wise and be selective in your choice. [An] occasional brush with music cannot be considered a practice whereby you will be sent to hell, I assure you not! But, an occasional brush with music which draws you into itself at the cost of higher values, at the cost of memory of Allah, at the cost of prayers, where you are taken over by music and that becomes all your ambition and obsession; if that happens then you are a loser, obviously.”
Muhammed Rafi: I told so many things prohibited by (false) Prophet Muhammad of which music is but only one item! The main thing is the Imaging Technology which encompasses all modern gadgets like TV, mobile, computer, camera etc. etc. without which modern life is almost impossible! He was against the idols of his time which is understandable, but when he prohibited it, he prohibited painting, drawing etc. which were very popular at that time! That is where he committed his foolishness! Likewise he prohibited music, musical instruments, acting etc. too! It was really very foolish of him to say the least! The argument that there is a division like good music and bad music is illogical and stupid to the core! No music can be termed as bad as long as it gives mental happiness and listening pleasure to some people! The musical instruments are really essential as they give an additional dimension to the vocal music. It is really a pity that he couldn't understand the importance of musical instruments either! His was a blanket ban on all popular arts as he hated these art forms which shows that he was no ordinary human being, but a man with a pervert mind! The people who eulogise him are those who are misled by this man's perversions and utter stupidity!

"ഞങ്ങൾ ആദ്യം കല്ലുകൾ ആരാധിച്ചിരുന്നു.ഒന്നാമത്തേതിനെക്കാൾ മെച്ചമായ ഒരു കല്ല് കണ്ടെത്തുമ്പോൾ നമ്മൾ ആദ്യത്തെ വലിച്ചെറിയുകയും രണ്ടാമത്തെ കല്ലു എടുക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുമായിരുന്നു.എന്നാൽ നമുക്ക് ഒരുകല്ലെടുക്കാൻകഴിയുന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ, നാംകുറച്ചുമണ്ണ്ശേഖരിക്കുകയും അതിന്മേൽആടുകളെകെട്ടുകയും ,ആട് അതിൻറെ പാൽ അതിന്റെ മുകളിൽഒഴിക്കുകയുംചെയ്യും.അതിനു ചുറ്റും Tawaf(ഏഴു വട്ടം അതിനെ ചുറ്റുക)നിർവഹിക്കുകയുംചെയ്യും.റജബ്മാസത്തിലെത്തുമ്പോൾഞങ്ങൾ സൈനികനടപടികൾനിർതും.ഈ മാസം ഇരുമ്പായുധം ഞങ്ങൾ അഴിച്ചുവെക്കും, ഞങ്ങൾ റജബിലെ മാസത്തിലെ ഓരോ കുന്തവും ഇരുമ്പിന്റെയും ഇരുമ്പിന്റെ അമ്പ് നീക്കം ചെയ്യും."

"ഇതു സ്വർഗത്തിൽ നിന്നും വന്ന കല്ല് ,ആദമിന്റെ പാപം നിമിത്തം കറുത്ത പോയി."
ഹദീസ് jami at -trimidhi 961 ൽ കാണാൻ കഴിയും .
