Every religion including Islam and Christianity have caste and sects. Even Korea has caste system too, it's so annoying that how u people purposefully target a single community.
For ur kind information from our respected president to our beloved PM and many CMs also comes from the lower caste. We don't use such terms in normal life, it is just there for providing benifits to those people.
To the girl in the video, what do you mean caste system is there in India? He literally asked if system is there legally. It IS NOT THERE LEGALLY, SINCE INDIA BECAME A COUNTRY. CAN YOU CLEAR THAT BEFORE MAKING ASSUMPTIONS? THERE IS NO LEGAL CASTE SYSTEM IN INDIA. KOREANS THINK IT'S LIKE LEGAL. WHICH IS NOT. ALSO RESERVATION IS NOT FOR UPPER CASTE BUT FOR LOWER CASTE TO GIVE THEM CHANCE EVERYWHERE. WHY IS THE INFORMATION NOT COMPLETE? PEOPLE WILL USE THAT TO MAKE ASSUMPTIONS AS IF PRIVILEGE IS GIVEN. WHEN IT IS PROTECTION AND RESERVATIONS FOR LOWER CASTES. Caste system is literally Illegal and discrimination can jail you. When are you going to give this information? Indians are so terrible at making awareness about India. They infact encourage such misinformation or this guy purposefully skipped it.
Diarrhea thing ..let me explain its not bcoz of hygiene its bcoz of indian spices and few pulses even i myself who is Indian got diarrhea when i moved from one state to other state, its bcoz of food differeces so i figured it out and took care of myself
Yeah it's true I'm from NE India and since our food is quite different from the rest. I literally get gas and loose motion (it's only in my case since I can't tolerate certain spices) every time I eat anything like samosa, panipuri etc. That's why I always tell beforehand to the seller (or my family whenever they make those snacks) to add little spice. It's only in my case though otherwise NE people can tolerate spicy food really well especially ghost chillies.
And another thing foreigners don't even know how eating sequence in India. They eat all the thing as they see. Like some day ago one guy after eating ice cream he straight drink tea and said after eating Indian food he got diarrhea. Even in home we can't eat randomly . Desert should be eaten in full stomach or eating something , empty stomach don't eat cold things etc. there are many stuffs. i think indian youtuber should make videos these things for foreigners or they should research before coming and eating in India.
As she said like in some entrance exams the seats are reserved but she didn't share the complete information like the seats are reserved for OBC, Sc, ST not for general because at a point of view as to give opportunities to those peoples Who were descriminated in past so this is in positive sense. But as a general we have to do extra hard work to clear the cutoff because our cutoff is high.. And for me I can never Identify peoples from which caste they belong by just their surnames maybe I don't care about it.

Frankly speaking india has largest no of bullying issues which are hidden and unspoken ,and its way more than korea because, we have caste system too on top and diverse which has many races and skin colors, so its more common in india than in korea. i was bullying in school due to being dark skin and dull when i was 8 yrs. outcasting is way common in india than in korea.

4:32 amazed how you can speak so confidently without having any knowledge. British commissioner Herbert Risley was the first one to introduce caste system in India. Caste system was never a thing in India before britishers . The authenticity of the history of a country is measured on the basis of experiences and writings of the foreign Travellers. No foreign Travellers either Chinese, Greek, Roman or any other who visited India from time to time ever write about any kind of caste discrimination . The most authentic foreign Travellers who came to india was Megasthenes , who came to india at the time of Mauryan empire wrote a book named "Indica" where he stated that india had no kind discrimination or women right issue in the country. The fact that the descendents of the two great writers Ved Vayas and Valmiki were also kept in SC ST caste by the britishers as Ved Vayas belonged to a fisherman family and Maharishi Valmiki was a hunter. Hope you get your self educated and then speak on behalf of the nation
lol keep living with the half baked info. caste system has been in india since the ages of vedas. brahmins, kshatriyas and shudras(now called obc) have existed since 1000s of years. chamars and many other of their profession (now sc and st) are not even included in the caste system hence called untouchables. and this comes from the ancient writings you're talking about. caste system maybe illegal but societal stigma regarding it is so true. i tell people im chamar and not only am i bullied at school, even the teachers don't treat me well. india is VERY undeveloped.
Wtf are you talking I think you are the one who doesn't have any knowledge caste system is has been in Indian since ancient times idk why you ppl are trying to hide this in Mahabharat can't you see the caste system where there were Britishers tell me?
She clearly does not know anything about caste system in India😂..what a poor representation of India by her. Guess that's why she ran away from here. Discrimination against caste system is against the law. We have prime minister's and president from so called old system which existed legally decades ago. Yes maybe is very few rural parts it's there which needs to improve but the stereotype is ridiculous. Also Korean are last people to talk about discrimination lol. Less said about them on that topic the better. What hypocrites
You should call those indian who left korea or only visited many time korea because you can't find the true answer if Indian are staying in Korea and working, it's not good for them to talk these things . If I was their I also fabricated many things and slightly avoid those, it's a fact which happen in any country. 😅😅
She's really well-spoken. Caste Discrimination still exists to this day even after being abolished by the law. I've seen people trying to hide their surnames to not get outcasted/ bullied. A lot of parents want their children to marry in the same caste and religion, especially in rural regions of India. The Hindu Caste System was a hierarchy based on occupation and status. The highest of them all was Brahmin (Priests) and the lowest of them was Dalits (Toilet cleaners/ Sweepers etc.) Dalits were deprived of an education in the old times when India wasn't independent and could be punished if they tried to get any. This led to the notion that only a king's son could be the next king and a servant's son could only be a servant. There was no way to climb the hierarchy ranking and people began discriminating and exploiting the lower castes like Dalits and Shudras (Commoners, peasants). Upper castes wouldn't drink water from the same well a lower caste would, wouldn't let them enter their houses or temples, refrain from touching their bare skin and basically treated them like filth. After independence, Discrimination against lower backward classes was abolished by the law but is still practised in some upper caste families and rural areas. To uplift the backward classes, Reservations were introduced after India gained independence and it's perceived as both positive and negative. The positive aspect is that people from backward classes have seats reserved for them in government jobs and educational institutes which helps empower them and the negative aspect is that "some" people getting these reservations might not come from underprivileged backgrounds and enjoy admissions/ high-paying jobs through their caste which enrages a lot of general candidates with no reservations which is why they choose to migrate and get jobs in other countries and causing a phenomenon called "Brain Drain". In my personal opinion, Reservations have given rise to a new kind of discrimination and microaggressions. A lot of general candidates view reserved candidates as "privileged and undeserving" when that's certainly not the case for many. A few days back, I was scrolling on Instagram where a tribal student made a trend reel about their college and the amount of casteist remarks in the comments and people finding it funny was baffling. I think reservations should stay not based on caste anymore but on household income to ensure that only the underprivileged candidates can enjoy it while the rest can compete based on merit.

@@pulkit935no. They introduced it. They put people in categories that never existed. They also put tribes that they were afraid of in lower categories because they’d refuse to bend d knee. They were cultivating loyalists like they did in Ireland, Scotland, Americas etc. It’s y they created congress to put one family in changer even after they left. They remote controlled that family via NGOs and academia. Up until 1950s they had Mi5 on d ground in Delhi. Routine reporting was done by Nehru up until his death. These and so many more documents have been unclassified and written about in d last few decades. They supported one family meanwhile forcing normal citizens to accept that cesspool as democratic. Declaring a group as a victim and then saving them put them in good light. Like setting a fire then putting it out to claim superhero status. Except they kept fueling d fire in this case, and claimed another group as an oppressor to keep it going. Discrimination is normal part of every single society. To convince u otherwise is a manipulation
the caste system that we know today, the caste system that was introduced by the britisher isn't the same even a bit to what existed prior to that. Indians were very rich in knowledge and diverse in skills all thanks to gurukuls which existed before invaders and Britishers destroyed those resources, Indian libraries, gurukuls and eventually forced upon them English. What existed before was way of life what you see equal as caste system. I'm going to try my best to use appropriate meaningful words which explain properly what I'm trying to convey. There were 4 vernas as you mentioned: Brahmins, kshatriyas, vaishyas, shudras. !Existence of these vernas or jatis were to identify people's jobs and responsibilities in the society! Like Brahmins did yagyas and all what pandits do (not because they were superior, but because their duty was as such), kshatriyas were kings who were supposed to fight for their people and protect them, vaishyas were businessmen who ran markets, shudras were not untouchables, they were the equally hard-working working class of engineers, workers, whatever these titles would be called in those times. In Hindu shastras, in no book anywhere it is written to treat shudras poorly or treat them as untouchables or that they are inferior. All of that came later. In fact, in Ramayana there is an episode where the king Dashratha was cursed by a Shudra couple (which was why as a result Lord Ram had to leave the kingdom and hence the curse came true). !!The background of the Shudra couple was that they were extremely qualified and like their Brahmin peers and lived with them in an ashram. All Brahmins and Shudras together.!! (If you want you can check authentic Ramayana episodes directly from the Valmikis Ramayana on the channel 21Notes). What people did to shudras over decades or century was completely unfair and I accept that, but I only hope in today's time at least people do their research better and see what practices originated from where and not let some 3rd parties create divide once again in the Hindu religion like they did ages ago to reap the benefits and steal from india. Thanks for reading till here.

Why didn't this woman tell the host that caste system was legally abolished ever since independence and that it is illegal and you can get arrested for that. But also the sad part is it basically prevails in rural areas and mostly among older generation and especially for marriages. Govt has done their part and its just mostly in people's mind and thats why there is 40% reservation for the lower castes in literally all government unis and jobs. Peace out.

I'm belong to lower cast(S.C).In my state people don't care about cast except marriage of Bramins especially Bramin girl.Other cast marry with each other in my state.S.C & OBS given reservation in education institutions & Jobs. But yes some parts of India still have cast discrimination. It's depends on the state's economic progress. The states which are economically industrialize, more unrbanized they have less cast & vice versa. In metropolitan environment no one care about cast.Yes some cast can be understand through surname but mejority cast can't be understand through surname as both higher & lower cast have same surname atleast in Bengal. I personally think it's rude to asked (especially for foreigners) someone about about one's cast.Korea also had 4 layer cast system in past. The lowest layer kwon as Cheonmin.Among the Cheonmin there was 4 group of people.Out of 4 group Baekjeong group ppl who are considered to do dirty work like butcher, tanning, sanitisation ect. just like "untouchables" in India no one in Korea touch them bcz of their work.In Japan same untouchability(due to certain work)still exits but in Japan it's no normal that people don't even recognised it as discrimination. The Europe/Greek civilization also had same thing in past.In Africans countries untouchability due to certain works still practice but it's not recognised as a discrimination. In Europe & Korea cast discrimination was stop bcz of economic development. Industrial especially post industral country don't care about these. As India still a pre industral country that's why still relevant. With economic progress, industrialization cast will also vasnised from India.

What I constantly want to remind foreigners about Korea is that it is a single-ethnic country comprised of only 96 percent Koreans. For 5000 years... They were and are still doing well culturally and economically than most other countries. There is no need to force them to change into a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural country. They have always better options for them than multiethnicity and multiculturalism. Because they're doing better than most multi-ethnic countries... Rather, it would be better for foreigners to adapt to Korean society. Korean society is much more orderly, efficient and safer than that of most developed European countries and US. No need to turn Korea into a mess. It is better to leave Korea as the best region for Koreans. and when it comes to issues like racism, the people who enslaved black people and committed violence, murder, and genocide are in the west, not the east. even nowadays.

Yes we have to admit Koreans have quite negative view toward India and Indian. Most of indians on youtube always insist that those negative view are made by mostly few youtuber or media but that is not all. Many of koreans who lived or living or experienced indians say generally negative opinion. Honestly positive words toward india spoken by korean on youtube is just sugar coat. Myself became to have negative view after business experience with indian and seeing their behavior and manner in tourist place abroad. And this is what we get to have negative view usually. And one more thing, it may sound weird but there is no dangerous and dirty area in Korea so i think this makes difference between indian and korean. Indian may think there is safe and dangerous area or clean and dirty area but koreans tend to think different.
Cast system was not there in the ancient times. It developed much later and thats completely fine, we need not to be ashamed of it. . People, especially foreigners need to understand, caste system is not bad, discrimination based on caste is bad. Different castes have their own distinct traditions and culture. In fact it's only because of different castes that Indian culture has survived all those invasions as a whole. The invaders destroyed one culture, then they found 10 more, they destroyed those 10, then they realized there are thousands more. This is how indian culture has survived, otherwise all great monotheistic cast-less cultures like Persia, Egypt, Iraq, Syria etc are already wiped out. . Hindu culture is heterogeneous, this is why caste exists and can't be eradicated in India. This thing is not understood by many foreigners. Different people have their own distinct culture and rituals and nobody will leave their practices. Instead of eradicating casts(which can never happen) we should focus on eradicating caste based discrimination and not the caste itself. Caste is like Ethnicity and just like Ethnicity can't be eradicated, caste can't be eradicated as well. Isn't it amazing that in India, just by knowing a person's surname we could guess what state or region of India he or she belongs to and what is his/her family profession?
I don’t think its nice to ask peoples caste as an Indian and most Indians i know don’t ask each other the caste.. we ask our states so we know which language to speak but most find it insulting to ask about a caste.. It is an abolished system eveb if it exists in some older generations mind
There are reservations in the Indian education system for castes that were discriminated against for 1000s of years. It was being done to uplift them and make things right with them. I guess this person is mixing the caste based discrimination and the steps taken to fix that discrimination. People might think about caste in personal life but there is no caste based discrimination in India for employment or economic opportunities
The discrimination still persists to a certain degree and ofcourse we need to work towards it, but I guess the current issue is a bit more complex. It is not black or white. And we have come far from how prevalent the issue was years back. Just the way we criticise our country and highlight its flaws, it's important for us to mention about the positive changes equally. And even though it can be taken in the wrong sense, it's true that India is way more populous and managing such a large population is obviously not a cake walk. Also, I think it's important to know our history so I hope I don't get hate for what I'm saying but I'm citing references just to support the basis of my explanation. Also I am not perfect so I am willing to learn if I am making any hurtful comments. My intention isn't that. I hope anyone who replies to this is going to be civil and respectful. Arguing never helps but a healthy conversation might! The caste system in India has ancient origins, dating back to around 1500 BC. It is believed to have originated from the Vedic scriptures, which divided society into four main categories or varnas: Brahmins (priests and scholars), Kshatriyas (warriors and rulers), Vaishyas (farmers and merchants), and Shudras (laborers and servants). These varnas were further subdivided into thousands of jatis, or subcastes, based on occupation and social status. The caste system was initially a way to divide labor and maintain social order in ancient Indian society. However, over time, the caste system became more rigid and hierarchical, with individuals being born into their caste and unable to move up or down in the social hierarchy. When the British colonized India in the 18th and 19th centuries, they codified and institutionalized the caste system through census and legal classifications. The British administration assigned specific rights and privileges to different castes, further entrenching social inequality and discrimination. Additionally, the British implemented policies and laws that reinforced caste-based discrimination. For example, the British colonial government passed the Criminal Tribes Act of 1871, which classified certain communities as criminal tribes solely based on their caste or social status. This act not only stigmatized these communities but also led to their exclusion and marginalization from mainstream society. Overall, the British colonial rule exacerbated the existing inequalities within the caste system and perpetuated discrimination based on caste. This legacy of discrimination continues to impact Indian society today, despite efforts at social reform and legal protections for marginalized communities. The constitution when formed, introduced the reservations for this specific reason. Now this has led to another type of this problem in the current context so, I guess the caste as a topic in itself is like a double edged sword. References: - Sharma, Ram Sharan. "Caste." I do not know if anyone's going to read this since it's all long paragraphs but anyone who is interested can read. Again if your beliefs and opinions don't align, I hope we can be respectful in addressing that rather than name-calling and being mean to each other. I believe healthy conversations actually lead to learning rather than just coming at each other with harsh words. Again citing references just in case. The British colonization of India had a significant impact on the caste system, both in terms of formalizing and institutionalizing existing social hierarchies and creating new forms of discrimination and oppression. One of the key ways in which the British colonial administration reinforced the caste system was through the implementation of census operations. The British authorities categorized different castes and communities based on occupation, social status, and religious affiliation. This classification system not only reinforced existing caste identities but also solidified the social hierarchy by assigning specific rights, privileges, and disadvantages to different castes. This led to the formalization of caste identities and further entrenched social inequalities. Furthermore, British colonial policies, such as the Criminal Tribes Act of 1871, had a detrimental impact on certain caste communities. The Act labeled certain groups as "criminal tribes" based solely on their caste or social background, branding entire communities as inherently criminal and subjecting them to severe social stigma and discrimination. This not only marginalized these communities but also perpetuated negative stereotypes and perceptions about specific castes. In addition to formalizing and reinforcing existing caste differences, the British colonial rulers also altered the meaning of caste in India. The traditional caste system, which originally served as a system of social organization and division of labor, was transformed into a rigid and oppressive system of social hierarchy and discrimination. The British colonial administration's policies and laws contributed to the degradation of the caste system, turning it into a tool of oppression and exclusion. Despite efforts at social reform and legal protections for marginalized communities, the legacy of British colonial rule continues to impact Indian society in terms of caste-based discrimination and inequality. The caste system, as it exists today, is a complex social structure that combines traditional beliefs and practices with colonial legacies, resulting in persistent inequalities and challenges for marginalized communities in India. We as citizens, should uplift each other and help reduce the prejudices against other communities be it the so called 'upper' or 'lower' caste because I'm sure in this era everyone is facing issues in some or the other way. Let me give a basic idea of caste system, for those who are crying over system. It's nothing new but had only slight change from past. And things like this was all over the world, based on skin color, rich and poor, or based on gender etc, and it still exits. Caste system is similar. In India it is named as caste system. We don't know for how many years it's been their for maybe hundreds or thousands.Caste system was divided according to type of work someone does. Let's put it in simple way "upper caste and lower caste" In the past lower caste people were not allowed to do many things, like enter in temples, sit near by upper caste, they were beaten, raped, murdered, things were taken from them, their land, animals, jwell etc. Not allowed to drink water from well, harassed in school and many other things. So during independence when Constitution was written things were little changed where people from lower caste gets priority in some things like jobs. What I don't believe is on what's been told that it was done by only one person, I think many political involvement was their. But it's not like rule was made and everyone started following, it took time for people to accept these rules, upper caste people refuses to sit on same bench like in schools, many teachers refuses to teach lower caste etc and it's still happens but rate is really low. I am not proud to say India has Caste system but I don't pity anyone not because what happened in past but while growing up experiencing different things. I belong to SC (schedule caste). Their are many who still judge you because of your caste and say like you belong to dirt but I have friends who belongs to different caste and religion. The fact is I can't tell anyone by their name that which caste they belong to, I don't even know how many caste are their😒 I don't care. You meet me as a human, judge me by my nature, work, behaviour and I always does the same, until I meet caste based judgmental people 😒😒 they goes like tell me your name then goes like no tell me your surname and then smirks😕 Guess what for independence no religion, caste or gender was their, they were only INDIANS 🇮🇳 and India still comes first before religion and caste for Indians😎😊Now about job, in todays time in this highest population, recommendation is also necessary, I didn't get job even though I belong to SC, because I didn't have recommendation of higher people 😒😒😒😒 I wrote all this because I am tired of reading it again and again that India has a Caste system and specially foreigners are targeting India😂😂 well yes it has just like many other countries has discrimination based on skin color, gender etc so nothing new😕
Certainly! Let's explore how the British colonial rule influenced and reshaped India's caste system: 1. **Origins of the Caste System**: - The conventional wisdom often portrays the caste system as a four-fold categorical hierarchy within Hinduism: Brahmins (priests/teachers), Kshatriyas (rulers/warriors), Vaishyas (farmers/traders/merchants), and Shudras (labourers). Additionally, there is a fifth group of "Outcastes" who perform unclean work and are outside the four-fold system. - However, critical scholarly findings reveal that these ideas were largely constructed during British colonial rule in India. The British colonial authorities propagated these notions, even though they were not entirely accurate¹. 2. **British Influence on Caste Categories**: - In the early 19th century, the British elevated certain Brahman-Sanskrit texts (such as the Manusmriti) to canonical status. They retroactively added the supposed origin of caste in the Rig Veda after translating it to English. - These categories were further institutionalized through the census in the mid to late 19th century. The British conveniently established an acceptable list of indigenous religions in India (including Hinduism, Sikhism, and Jainism) based on their interpretation of India's definitive texts. - What is now widely accepted as Hinduism was, in fact, an ideology better called "Brahmanism." It existed largely in textual form and represented the interests of a small, Sanskrit-educated social group¹. 3. **British Perception of Superiority**: - The British Empire believed it was the natural heir to the classical Roman Empire. Driven by a mix of superiority complex and fascination with social management, they developed various "sciences," including statistics. - Statistics, although not yet a formal science, allowed them to collect data on demographics, crime, occupations, and more. These figures were politically useful and indicated new means of social improvement and control. - The British used this system as a form of control, limiting the power and respect of the majority of citizens in India. By categorizing people into fixed labels or groups, they perpetuated their divide-and-rule policy²⁵. In summary, the British colonial authorities significantly influenced India's caste system by shaping its categories, emphasizing certain texts, and using statistics for social management. The conventional wisdom often overlooks these historical complexities, but critical examination reveals the colonial impact on India's social structure¹². **Hindu Varna Vyavastha is the foundation of social organization in ancient India. In this system, the ancient Indian society is divided into four Varnas: 1. **Brahmin**: - People belonging to the Brahmin Varna perform roles such as priests, scholars, artists, teachers, etc. 2. **Kshatriya**: - Individuals of the Kshatriya Varna engage in activities related to rulership, governance, warriors, and soldiers. 3. **Vaishya**: - The Vaishya Varna includes traders, merchants, shopkeepers, and other business-related occupations. 4. **Shudra**: - Shudras are involved in service-oriented tasks, agriculture, animal husbandry, and other labor-intensive work. This Varna system aims to organize society based on the inherent qualities, nature, and duties of its members. It was designed to ensure that individuals could perform their duties according to their inherent disposition and contribute to the overall welfare of society . 🙏
What ! 😂 caste system is illegal in India lol and you know our president is from a lower caste then how in the hell your saying India still have caste system
I feel that the caste system does not depend on the surname...according to Hinduism in our scriptures the caste system depends on the behavior of the people and their lifestyle as Krishna said in Bhagvat Geeta that if a Brahmin works like a shudra then He is not a Brahmin but a Shudra and if a Shudra does karma like Brahmin then he is not shudra...its all about karma and karma only decides your cast.
about the Diarrhea thing I want to say one thing..........JUST KNOW WHAT AND WHERE YOU ARE EATING. if anyone is visiting india...PLEASE DO HAVE AN INDIAN FRIEND OR THOSE INDIAN YOU KNOW WELL....CUZ THEY WILL KNOW WHERE TO GO AND EAT AND WHERE NOT TO GO..
She should have said who actually gets reservation. It's NOT the so-called upper caste (Brahmin) but ONLY lower caste (OBC or Sc/St). In entrance examinations, only upper caste children are discriminated against. She should have told him the history behind caste system first of all. It's NOT like Korean Hierarchy system... In Korea, they discriminate people based on their looks also..that's far more outrageous. Getting plastic surgeries just to get jobs...EWWWW. Indian society doesn't care about caste... unless it's related to Entrance examinations or marriages. And I am not against the same- caste marriages...unless it's true love marriage. If our government removes caste based reservation, it's not going to last long. But vote Bank politics doesn't let it happen.😅 It's not like it's affects our day to day life. I have grown up being friends from lower castes & upper castes both as best friends. Listening to her accent, I feel like she is not even brought up in India 😅 It's too Western. She eats beef ?? Yaaa caste system is so prevalent in India that from our president to PM to CM of many states comes from so called lower caste but still we all love them. In India every one can go wherever they want can do whatever they want. Infact we have reservations in majority of fields So stop this nonsense it's literally so annoying.

Hehe. So much plastic surgery and injection ruins your boday with brain .
quite simple you dont know how pressure will be on the girls if there is different caste then all the pressure will be on girls to change acccording to the in laws. if the girl is a vegetarian and in laws are non vegetarians then girl have to adapt to it. if they dont then boys family will divorce the girl and it will hard for a girl to marry for the second time. so bride and girls parents dont want to send her to other caste. it is very rare that boy want to come out of the comfort zone and was okay to compremise because i do know they are some but that is very few. and dowry is also a issue. in brahmins there is no dowry but in other caste there is dowry. there is something called kanyadaan or kanyadhaanam to give responsibilty of girls to her husband giving dowy to groom is like buying the groom. so there is no way girl from brahmin family will accept to give dowry unless they boy is okay to come to her house. like these they are many differences between different castes. it can be nothing to boys because society never pressures them about this but can be lot for women. on books intercaste marriage may be progessive but in most cases the burden on the women because the groom family will pressure her to change. it is not easy to leave your parents and stay with some other but you have forget everything you know and learn everything to please others.
Wwwohhh its the obc and so called lower caste who get privilege in India. In entrance exams the lower castes people get higher rank even if they score less. Eg. In indian medical exam 2023 the student who scored all india rank 2 was not allowed to take admission in the top medical college of india because he was a Brahmin.
You should educate yourself about caste system in India before taking about it, many decades back, definitely it was a big thing but definitely no more. The first question that Indians ask when they meet each other is what's your name and then the follow up question is education because Indians definitely have brains. Yes, there are definitely areas wherein we are improving but there are a lot more things wherein we are the best. Taking about places and streets of India, like many other countries you can go for a richer areas or a poor street but it all comes down to content. What Indians have is brain. I myself love k-pop but when you talk about skin colour, first of all Indians have all shades of skin colour and leave India talk about any country of the entire world, skin colour should not even be a topic of discussion, you know what, a person is born with a particular skin tone and a face structure, you wanna go for a plastic surgery please go ahead it's your choice but how a person looks or what kind of skin tone he/she has is not his/her choice, right. Please rise above these things which is not even a concern, there are a lot more things which is much more important, rise above these niche topics. And please just give it a thought, a person is more than how they look, am I right or am I right? You all need to rise above these things, the first thought should be ohh you are a nice person and not always about beauty.
Atleast it exists only in school in korea but caste system in india they suffer throughout their lifetime ..... therefore the only thing i don't like about my country is caste system.

I'm from a backward caste but I don't think this system is a bad thing. The system was not wrong but it needed amendment from time to time, which could not happen. On one hand the world was moving towards modernization and on the other hand we were struggling to save our civilization from external invaders like Persians, Alexander, Muslims and then the British. This is bad only for those people. whose conversion propaganda does not work due to the caste system and secondly it is bad for those people who have forgotten their civilization, their roots, their costumes and the respect of their ancestors and have become puppets of the West... and have made the father of the West their father. In the first century India's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) was 32.9% of the total GDP of the world; in 1000 it was 28.9%; en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economic_history_of_India

The caste system was based on work or duty one performs for example if a person is very knowledgeable and spread the knowledge to others then he/ she would be considered Brahmin or if a person likes to fight to protect the region or country then he/ she would be considered khastriya ..and a person can move between castes like if a teacher wants to be a soldier ( moving from bhramin to khastriya), it wasn't rigid.....but over centuries people manipulated it to get benefit from others or to prove their supremacy over others.....and if ask me what's my caste , i come from the lowest caste according to people made caste system....but to be honest i never faced any discrimination based on that in india....caste system is still a problem in some places and some people still follow it but their number is very little.... according to what i have seen or observed I would say that intercaste marriage is still a problem in india.....

ASKING SOMEONE'S CASTE IS ILLEGAL AND DOING DISCRIMINATION against CASTE AND RELIGION IS ALSO ILLEGAL. but yes there are many opportunities given to Lower caste and girls (no matter which caste or religion they belong too) as an appology what happens in 19 centuries or ago. this exist (because of britishers who ruled and destroyed india in many ways search it and you'll know it soo detailed information) but no one cares about caste and religion now. One question I am very curious about is why would any India go to South Korea for studies of all the places like US,UK ,Au etc. I am really curious. Plz dont give me diplomatic answets. I really want to know.
Simple Because of kpop and kdrama , Indians well everyone in this world is getting influenced by korean beauty precisely even usa uk citizens are also fantasizing korea and koreans, ie everyone wants to live that fantasy there and wants to have a korean partner.
Ok. Thanks. But someone migrating to Korea only for fantasy is a very bad direction for youngsters. I dont think they are so stupid. Are they??Becoz no one would want to spend their precious time of their career for fantasies. Again unless very foolish.

So, it's a win win situation for people and Korea both. Teenagers and young adults are wrapped up in this fantasy in India, even some of my juniors say that they are born in wrong side of Asia and they hate Their own mother country, they say even we can't practice as a doctor in Korea it doesn't matter, we will still be in Korea through different field of study and we are okay with that. Can you imagine, people studying in medschool in India are thinking in this way being in Korea is more important to then then being a doctor. you can imagine the situation for non medicos too My advice to fellow Indians who want to settle in Korea - Even if you want to leave india, its your choice just go to the country which will give you peace and more success than india not a country where you are hesitant to openly express yourself because you are scared of racism . If still its your dream to be in Korea then take the bad side of it with the pinch of salt. Best of luck 🤞 Ps - don't hate. I am not against anyone who wants to live their fantasy. This interview was also conducted with my knowledge being that he was aware that it was illegal but wanted more nuance on the situation. Which I provided, by mentioning reservation and also the microaggression that does exist. I apologize for not reiterating that it's abolished but it's just something that skipped my mind because I was aware the other person knew of it. Is there anything else you have a pickle with?

People view the caste system as something so vile that they might not believe something like that existed but let me tell you it started thousands of years ago with very good intentions. Individuals were divided into caste based on the kind of work they do. Brahmans were the people who studied and taught literature and various knowledge of universe and imparted it to others, kshatriya were the warrior class who would give their lives for their country and do the administration work for their state, vaishnavs were the business class who would do the usual day to day trade to bring food on the table and shudras were the one who used to dirty work for the people or did not do any work or a burden on society. Now remember this was never intended to be a family thing, it was individual based and depended on what you want to do with your life. So it per se wasn't such a bad system but more of a work-reward system to motivate people to do something productive with their lives. You had the ability to change your caste with your deeds. In today's generation it's equivalent to the title like doctor, judge, minister sergeant etc. Eventually as the years went by people forgot the real intention behind the system and made it a hereditary and family thing which led to the exploitation of the lower caste. People in the upper caste started seeing themselves as the bigger person or powerful being who were too supreme for others. This went on for hundreds of years generations after generations which marginalized a particular community and revered other communities. Now 70 years ago India finally realized the old age mistakes and abolished the caste system and gave reservations to marginalized communities to bring them back on a level plane ground with other upper castes. Now after 70 years it was all supposed to go back to equal with no caste system and reservation while bringing all the people on equal ground but now reservation are mostly being used by already educated and uplifted marganalized community making the whole point of reservation moot. Since many people are still not uplifted govt should make reservations only for people with really low income group rather than giving it to whole caste.
Your whole theory is wrong lol bring experts not fools. Do you even know how so called underprivileged caste or untouchable caste get benefits. Whole scenario is upside down. Why don't this girl told him about that SC, ST these are your so called untouchable caste do you even know how much they are being privileged they had their 50% seat reserve for government jobs even if they get 40% while general your so called highly privileged brahmins not a single penny they need to cross 90% for government jobs. you're the only sensible person who's actually addressing the fact. The fact that reservation system still exists means that there is a caste system. The fact that they give you scholarships here based on one's caste or level means that caste system is still being played. @@zzzonline Ohh u forgot to mention about all the fake cases done by so called lower caste or more precisely converted people who don't change their documents for benefits.
Caste a western terminology exploited by British to again divine Indian people in different sect. A Verna system in India which use to define people by their profession and was fluid became Caste during colonial time were the British took effort and time to go village to village to note down the caste and made it rigid, so the caste u r born to now are stuck in it and even after independence because the British hold to our education system, law, politics and even in army for 15-20 years post independence made it difficult to get rid of in our early period of independence and it got stuck and exploited by western media to create bad narrative about India. Now its becoming more fluid as people are moving out of poverty. Caste does not matter but plays import role in marriage for community building and certain tradition and ritual associated with it.
When she said about certain seats reserved for certain castes she doens't need to put it in a negative light because that's a positive measure taken by Govt to uplift the marginalized people and promote equality by promoting equaty ...its just providing equal opportunity to everyone.
Oh, I never mentioned it as a negative thing! It got a bit lost in the cuts in the video but I mentioned it as what is being done to remove the discrimination faced by certain castes in the past and how that discrimination still happens (like with my example of that man wanting a Brahmin wife). About the cast system. There was NO thing in Hinduism called 'cast'. There was the Varna system, where people would be separated into these Varnas based on the Job that they did, and it was originally not based on the family you were bought into. If a son of a king would want to work as a cleaner, he would be part of the shudra system and if the son of a cleaner would want to be a minister, or a warrior, he would be a part of the Kshatriya system or the brahmin system. These situations were highly uncommon because what father would want his son to become a cleaner. Ofc, that was the original idea. Then humans being humans, they modified the system to be rigid and for personal gains. There is no concept of Cast in Hinduism. Ram's companion in the forest was a tribal who went on to become a minister in the court when Ram came back. Krishna's best friend was Sudama, a vaishya or a shudra if I remember correctly. Pardon me if I don't. Just because something has been molded to suit personal gains and an almost perfect system has been made to look like an undeveloped system, doesn't mean that it was originally meant to be that way

PEOPLE WILL USE THAT TO MAKE ASSUMPTIONS AS IF PRIVILEGE IS GIVEN. WHEN IT IS PROTECTION AND RESERVATIONS FOR LOWER CASTES.

Yeah it's true I'm from NE India and since our food is quite different from the rest.

And the caste system was always there in India

I do not know if anyone's going to read this since it's all long paragraphs but anyone who is interested can read.

You meet me as a human, judge me by my nature, work, behaviour and I always does the same, until I meet caste based judgmental people 😒😒 they goes like tell me your name then goes like no tell me your surname and then smirks😕
Guess what for independence no religion, caste or gender was their, they were only INDIANS 🇮🇳 and India still comes first before religion and caste for Indians😎😊Now about job, in todays time in this highest population, recommendation is also necessary, I didn't get job even though I belong to SC, because I didn't have recommendation of higher people 😒😒😒😒
I wrote all this because I am tired of reading it again and again that India has a Caste system and specially foreigners are targeting India😂😂 well yes it has just like many other countries has discrimination based on skin color, gender etc so nothing new😕
Certainly! Let's explore how the British colonial rule influenced and reshaped India's caste system:
1. **Origins of the Caste System**:
- The conventional wisdom often portrays the caste system as a four-fold categorical hierarchy within Hinduism: Brahmins (priests/teachers), Kshatriyas (rulers/warriors), Vaishyas (farmers/traders/merchants), and Shudras (labourers).
2. **British Influence on Caste Categories**:
- In the early 19th century, the British elevated certain Brahman-Sanskrit texts (such as the Manusmriti) to canonical status.
3. **British Perception of Superiority**:
- The British Empire believed it was the natural heir to the classical Roman Empire.
In this system, the ancient Indian society is divided into four Varnas:
1. **Brahmin**:
- People belonging to the Brahmin Varna perform roles such as priests, scholars, artists, teachers, etc.
2. **Kshatriya**:
- Individuals of the Kshatriya Varna engage in activities related to rulership, governance, warriors, and soldiers.
3. **Vaishya**:
- The Vaishya Varna includes traders, merchants, shopkeepers, and other business-related occupations.
4. **Shudra**:
- Shudras are involved in service-oriented tasks, agriculture, animal husbandry, and other labor-intensive work.
This Varna system aims to organize society based on the inherent qualities, nature, and duties of its members. It was designed to ensure that individuals could perform their duties according to their inherent disposition and contribute to the overall welfare of society . 🙏

In India even now when come to talk about marriage Indiaan people think only the same cast marriage.
Cuz if you want to marry sudra they will not agree cuz you guys are not for their standard too.
quite simple you dont know how pressure will be on the girls if there is different caste then all the pressure will be on girls to change acccording to the in laws. if the girl is a vegetarian and in laws are non vegetarians then girl have to adapt to it. if they dont then boys family will divorce the girl and it will hard for a girl to marry for the second time. so bride and girls parents dont want to send her to other caste. it is very rare that boy want to come out of the comfort zone and was okay to compremise because i do know they are some but that is very few.
and dowry is also a issue. in brahmins there is no dowry but in other caste there is dowry. there is something called kanyadaan or kanyadhaanam to give responsibilty of girls to her husband giving dowy to groom is like buying the groom. so there is no way girl from brahmin family will accept to give dowry unless they boy is okay to come to her house.
like these they are many differences between different castes. it can be nothing to boys because society never pressures them about this but can be lot for women.
on books intercaste marriage may be progessive but in most cases the burden on the women because the groom family will pressure her to change. it is not easy to leave your parents and stay with some other but you have forget everything you know and learn everything to please others.

The caste system was based on work or duty one performs for example if a person is very knowledgeable and spread the knowledge to others then he/ she would be considered Brahmin or if a person likes to fight to protect the region or country then he/ she would be considered khastriya
..and a person can move between castes like if a teacher wants to be a soldier ( moving from bhramin to khastriya), it wasn't rigid.....but over centuries people manipulated it to get benefit from others or to prove their supremacy over others.....and if ask me what's my caste , i come from the lowest caste according to people made caste system....but to be honest i never faced any discrimination based on that in india....caste system is still a problem in some places and some people still follow it but their number is very little.... according to what i have seen or observed I would say that intercaste marriage is still a problem in india.....

@@Niharika-yn1jxthat's the point mam you missed the most important thing outside of India people generally picture india still as those poor country which is still bounded with caste system where as from our respected PM to President is from lower caste and as for discrimination from school to college to university and even at work place nobody ask anyone's caste more precisely it's illegal to ask someone's caste .yess there is one place where still people ask for caste is marriage and as the way young generation is distancing themselves from this caste scenarios it will only last for next three to four generations max. By the way I have no problem with overall your interview it's nice ❤.
My life suck me being from lower cast never got scholarship instead it feel like i waste my money buying scholarship form like hostel scholarship form whatever form to get better money it get cancel or mine don't get pick And when i see others getting scholarship money to buy things or using it on valentines etc i feel jealous😒 (but i heard ST get opportunity i wana experience it)
And I'm a good guy!
Caste system is all British yhere was no caste system in India
Wow what a lier I surprised to see and listen to her it is truly false what a lier now I know she will get money for this kind of false
The real scenario in India that yout propogenda caste system is nothing but a fraudulent things to damege India's imege. Nowadays these your so called untouchable caste doing government jobs or becoming engineer or doctor. We generals do called highly privileged people are sweeping roads for one time food. Don't spread false information.
Korean try to impose ,for she got for scholarship 😢
Like literally even their country had caste system and way worse than ours but these bl..dy hypocritic Koreans will never make any video over it.
33% doctors 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 she should get treated by these ppl
you're the only sensible person who's actually addressing the fact. The fact that reservation system still exists means that there is a caste system. The fact that they give you scholarships here based on one's caste or level means that caste system is still being played. People don't want the actual truth cause they know it's bitter and sour that's why they go after the artificial sweet flavourings of the false facts.

Ohh u forgot to mention about all the fake cases done by so called lower caste or more precisely converted people who don't change their documents for benefits.

Hope that clarifies it, I never said anything against reservation, just mentioned it when we were talking about discrimination.
@@Niharika-yn1jx didi do you even know bramins are now doing group d government jobs sweeping rods!! All reserve sit belong to SC, ST the so called untouchable caste. Please don't tell anything if you don't know as bramin I feel so angry we are searching for jobs and people have perception that everything is easy. You know these you tubers are agent they will create anything to defame India did they even gone research on it. Please check everything then talk.
@Universe_is_calling what are you talking about? I have not mentioned any specific caste in the video nor have I given any opinions on reservation. I have pointed out that it hasn't disappeared completely because people still get married within castes and some people want to marry people from high castes. Are you disagreeing with that?
@@Niharika-yn1jx didi but your perception is being totally saying look at the comments yeh caste system belongs India is downgraded only for hindus blah blah blah. I have a cousin who married to a sudra girl nothing happened!!! India is changing nowadays people are marrying people who have jobs they don't need caste just need a government jobs.
@@Universe_is_calling @Universe_is_calling stop putting words in my mouth. I have not mentioned the word 'hindu' related to caste. I have not called India degrading. In both my videos for this channel, I have praised India and said that we have developed more than anyone could have thought was possible. I have pointed out the misconceptions foreigners have wrongly about India. But I will not lie and say caste system has disappeared. I'm very happy for your cousin, I hope they have a wonderful life with their wife. I am also aware that not everyone is fortunate enough to marry inter-caste (which, again, is the example I gave). I am not sure why you're here in the comments trying to fight me and belittle me when I have not said a single word against you or your caste (whatever it may be). I have not spoken about the economic conditions for any of the castes. I'm sorry for the struggles you're facing but I haven't diminished them nor anyone else's. So again, why are you going around saying I have a 'wrong theory', I'm 'telling lies', I 'don't know what I'm talking about'? What part do you disagree with in the two minutes that I spoke about the current state of caste system in India?
Need more interviews with neharika❤
Korea had caste system too.
Those who belongs to lower caste in India ,,,,have a good opportunity and more chances to get high job easily by (reservation system),,,,and high caste people like me doing work hard without any partiality and relaxation in marks in every exam of India and there is less registration fee for lower caste people.
A true hindu will never eat a cow ,actually in our religion it is said that don't harm any aninals but today's hindu forgot their roots and eating meat whi is so sad
Yeah brother , I felt sad too 😢
About the cast system.
Just because something has been molded to suit personal gains and an almost perfect system has been made to look like an undeveloped system, doesn't mean that it was originally meant to be that way
In my opinion i think caste system is a good system for indian people because it's give us employment
I dont think so it gives employment. If we get job based on our caste then it comes under discrimination.
@@SI-ft5ev how
Inheritance jobs gives employment
@@Itihaas-tu3lm what? Srsly?
@@Itihaas-tu3lm its because if you get job based on your caste and not for your skills/ education/ exp then that would come under discrimination. For eg i have all the skills and exp required for the job but doesnt come under xyz caste but the other person is of same caste and they hire him instead of me then wouldn't it be unfair. I've seen people who doesnt get job because of their caste/religion which is so unfair. The caste system should be abolished.
Now its totally opposite
General community is oppressed
I love my caste that's my pride and my cultural signature and we respect eachother's castes too.. ✌😊

@@blue_asahiCast system was not there in the ancient times.
