When I tried this at Sephora, it got better and better. I could smell hints of it the next day, even after showering. I left the tester papers in my coat pockets and it’s amazing every time I wear that coat. I like that it could be summery - like an exotic Caribbean smell - or a warm, winter scent. My husband liked it on me. Now, it’s completely sold out here in Canada! 😭😭😭
I was not impressed at first... but a gentleman in Sephora told me that I smelled DIVINE. I saw a Tik Tok where someone suggested layering it on top of the Fenty Body Butter.
It's such a compliment getter!! I liked it but I didn't feel like "that girl" wearing lol however the compliments helped!

I find the Fenty body butter has a different smell than the fragrance. Body butter has a weird smell to me yet I love the fragrance. I reached out to the company and they told me the body cream has pure perfume in it that is what is different.
First impression you are not gonna like it but when it dries down omgoshhhh .. it amazing and the oil in there is very concentrated . Its very unique
I have had the scent for about 1 month and each time I wear it I grow fonder of the scent. One thing I have noticed is the wear on this is very long lasting which is something I appreciate. I don't see any similarities to Love don't be shy. I love the uniqueness of the scent. I have gotten so many compliments when I wear this. Rihanna has a reputation for smelling really good and I think that is why people were eager to get their hands on the scents in hopes to smell like her.

The dry down is what saves this one for me! The blueberry that comes through in the end is so nice! The beginning was a lot for me but I love it now!
exactly it opens so harsh with the bergamot/patchouli almost could pass a cologne..but the way the dry down develops that rose/blueberry combo is so sensuallll
I love this fragrance! It lasts and lasts and it's nothing like anything in my collection. I'm usually a woody girl but this is sweet and amber-y.. and that blueberry note is just chef's kiss.
It really does last forever!! Love that about it!
I purchased this fragrance when she first launch it in 2021 and I love it!!! The dry down is so good and it is long lasting.

Been having this one for 2 years and I love it! It most def takes a while to get used to because it’s very unique. IMO, it’s been said that she loves DON’T BE SHY and this is evident of that.
This smells nothing like Love don't be shy to me. Benevolence from HOS reminds me of love don't be shy.
@@PocketsandBowsTV I think it’s subjective to one’s smell palate. More people hate it than not. I’ve heard people compare it to Vicks Vapor Rub, “medicated like hospitals” (the woman’s words verbatim)…overall, I enjoy.
@Bee Johnson I think the reviews are more mixed, leaning towards dislike, but it was Sephora's #1 fragrance when they had it for two weeks. The stock of fragrances Fenty gave Sephora are now gone, and they've removed the fragrance from their website. I hope we get a new fragrance from Rihanna this year! I just got my 4th bottle in the mail yesterday

It’s a beautiful perfume u have to have confidence to rock fenty because it’s different ❤❤❤it’s fire.
I bought it when it came out and I didn’t love it but it definitely grew on me so much and now I love it. It smells like sweet marshmallows to me and berries. It lasts a long time so I spray lightly.
Oh wow! I don't get the marshmallow at all. I think this fragrance really does react different on everyone which can be great! Very unique.

as a man who loves Rihanna and fragrance I was very interested in this perfume. then I became available at Sephora and I was able to try it. the first time I def got the Vicks vapor rub/medicinal quality, I think its the geranium. the second time not so much so I purchased it. I love it. I dont find it too feminine on my skin and the juice is powerful. two sprays and ill smell it the next day. even longer on clothes. I smell a warm blueberry and tangerine, rich rose and patchouli mostly but done very modern. doesn't smell like nana's knickers. it def has many facets and can smell different at different times. sometimes I swear theres coconut or vanilla. I 10/10 recommend.
I smelled it for the first time today. At first I didn’t like it and then I sprayed it again and I’m absolutely blown away. I love it.
I’ve had this for a while and love it on its own and to wear it under sweeter fragrances. I like to wear it when it’s hot out.
I’m late 😩 but I love this perfume especially layered with MFK Gentle Fluidity Gold. It lasts so long!!!

I love this fragrance! I tried it yesterday at Sephora and it almost exactly like KKW fragrance crystal gardenia oud scent. It’s beautiful unique sensual mysterious scent it’s perfect and it lasts. I have found a dupe to kkw gardenia oud thanks to riri.
At first it had a very earthy dirt smell to me but after the second time of using it it smells decent. I add a sprinkle of vanilla with it and after that it’s AMAZING
It smells good at first I didn’t like it but I let it sit and my goodness it smells amazing
It does smells like nirvana rose . It also smells like Gucci Guilty Absolute Pour femme. I like it

When I received this as a gift, I almost was scared of it but the dry down was AMAZING. I wanted to eat my arm up and received so many compliments when I wore it out. I really don’t understand all the slander… “not that good”…. haters! LOL I’m making a serious dent in it, and it’s making me anxious! Any similar fragrances slightly cheaper for more casual nights out?

When I first sprayed I went ewww then on the way home I couldn’t stop smelling myself. It’s so unique I went back today and got a full bottle. It’s delicious
Listen, this perfume is not for a child. This perfume isn't even for just every adult. If you like libre from YSL you most likely would love this too. This perfume gives rich aunty. It's a thick perfume. A little goes a long way. And I agree with another comment if worn right it last forever. Certainly last forever on fabric. When I first sprayed it I had on my coat and my watch on. Weeks passed by wore the same coat and watch and both still had the scent as if I just sprayed it. I love it.

Ok so, I just grabbed a box yesterday. I was in Sephora, happened to be in the Fenty aisle when an associate offered to help me. I said, wow, the tester STILL isn’t available. She said, i have one behind the counter but we are sold out. I asked her to spray it on my skin. It was more of a citrus scent on my skin. It was ‘ok’. But DEFINITELY not bad. It changed throughout the day and I really really like it.
(Oh, and she came back and she found a box. I got the last one)

LOL that is so funny to me! I don't get menthol or Vicks at all! I think this one comes down to body chemistry.
Yup I agree it smells exactly like Nirvana Rose and also Bond 9 New York Oud. I own both the Nirvana Rose and Bond 9 and when I first laid my nose on the Fenty (I’m a Sephora employee lol) I was like I can pass on this, but they gave it to us in gratis so I’ll keep it 😂 Also it’s only available on Sephora online but next year only a few selected stores will actually have it in store for purchase.

I got the samples a couple years ago and hated it. Randomly pulled it out again last year and ended up buying the full size. I love it and love layering it.

I love the way this perfume smells
Call me crazy but I like it!! It’s not harsh it’s definitely softer few minutes after having been sprayed.
It's harsh to me, but I do enjoy it. I have to be in the mood because it's super strong to me!
It smells like blueberry rose jam (the food and JAM hair gel lol) to me. Getting a sample is impossible, but luckily my cousin bought herself a bottle so I was able to find out for myself. It’s cool. I don’t really get Thé Noir as a comparison but I guess everyone gets something different. I will say it projects because I could smell her and I was sitting two rows behind…with my mask on.
I totally agree with the projection! That's why it's perfect for a night out and men seem to really like this one even though I don't feel particularly "beautiful" when I wear it.

I love Rihanna and it broke my heart that I didn’t like it. I tried and returned it. I did like Love…don’t be shy. Even though it’s a little sweet smelling. But the Fenty was a no.
The “people” for the most part do not know how to test smell samples… the Vix rub comment and many others like it are people immediately spraying to a piece of paper and inhaling the initial alchohol smell before any notes can even come through… the perfume is nice, I personally think it is a bit unique and I’d consider a tamed love don’t be shy

I think most are thinking it will be a sweet young fragrance because of their perception of Rihanna but she has always leaned towards mature scents. Patchouli is a very strong note and I don't think many young women like that note.

You are so welcome! This is one that I think you have to try for yourself. So many different opinions on this scent.
Rihanna's previous perfume lines, manufactured under licensing arrangements with the international beauty brand Parlux, only allowed her partial share to the royalties and profits. So, considering how she is in full creative control and sole owner of the Fenty brand of beauty, skin and apparel, it would only make sense to release a fragrance where you get sole priority of the earnings. The previous scents definitely ranged from confetiously sweet featuring notes like vanilla, to more floral bases, or even the tropical hints of coconut and bergamot. The Rogue and Rogue men was a little bit more earthy, woody, masculine and powdery. So, when she announced the Fenty Parfum, I was excited.
As a 33 year old gay male who switches from the celebrity fragrances, feminine scents and masculine scents, I will say that scent was NOT what I was expecting. I saw the notes and read the comments from social media online and thought it would be INTERESTING. I must admit, at first spritz, it was UNATTRACTIVELY light yet had a musky aura that lingered for a few hours. It almost reminded me of Elizabeth Taylor’s White Diamonds. I was fucking SHOCKED how light the scent was. This definitely did NOT smell like ANY of her past fragrances. Fenty Parfum is for an ACQUIRED TASTE. It’s definitely for a mature adult, or someone of a particular age. I would gift this to my GREAT AUNT who’s 92 years old before I would wear this on myself. I was so disappointed that the Sephora associate used an ALCOHOL WIPE to remove it from my wrist and the scent STILL lingered. The only positive side to it is the dry down scent is noticeably tangerine so, I would suggest pairing the fragrance with a citrus based oil or body lotion to open that part of the scent up more.

I wish I liked it. I kept it for an entire week and wore it and just couldn’t get into it. The patchouli smell was really killing it for me. Smelled like Vicks vapo rub mixed with baby powder. Maybe I don’t have a sophisticated enough nose for it? Bc I wanted to like it so bad. Thought maybe it would grow on me. Sadly had to return it 😢
No I completely understand that! It's not a fragrance that I reach for but I had really low expectations due to other reviews and when I got it, it wasn't that bad. It gets compliments but it's not for me.

I think it comes down to body chemistry honestly because I see a lot of ppl mention a medicinal hospital smell once they wear it and I don't get that.

I would like to hear your views on Guerlain Jasmine Bonheur if you have gotten a chance to smell it? I received a sample with my purchase of Mon Guerlain Intense and at first smell didn’t like it. Wore it to bed twice and fell in love with it.
It’s giving Baccarat perfume notes. Even the bottles are similar.
But they don't smell a like at all.
I don’t really care for it because I really like sweet scents.. my fiancé bought it for me and he really loves it so I guess I at least have to wear it for him 😅 I’ve heard from other women that their man really likes it also so I guess it’s worth it lol

New subscriber and saw you had a review on this. My husband picked this up from Sephora when it showed up in stores for me since I wanted to try it. I only smell spice when I spray it and on my skin and I'm still trying to find a way to wear it. I'm not returning it though.
