Yeah the Coyote 5.0 runs pretty good. I had one when they first came out in 2011 and My wife had a 2003 Cobra w/479 RWHP and trust me the wife can drive but she could only get me by a car when we raced.

I was eating up Saginaw like Tic Tacs. old dirt track racer told me about that transmission they're hard to find they put them behind modifies you could get a universal joint at Napa that goes from Ford to Chevy
That's interesting, very cool! Just a heads up, when you look for a 4 speed toploader, be careful you don't end up with a 3 speed overdrive trans. They look very similar, but the overdrive trans is junk for performance use.
Is it possible to take a Toploader 3-speed from a '65 Mustang and use it in a 67 GTO with a 400? I've looked at photos and can't tell the Mustang trans from a Pontiac "version". If I can use the Mustang trans, where the heck can I find the right yoke that you talked about?

steve ballard it gets better my friend... they just released a 26 spline input shaft for the 4 speed toploader... so you can use the gm clutch setup and a quick shifting heavy duty transmission using the Pontiac bellhousing
Muncie 4 speeds are good, i'd try for the ford 4 speed if you're planning on making any serious power. Much smoother shifting and worry free torque capacity. Might not work for a console car though. I couldn't afford a muncie at the time and just settled for the 3 speed. Not regretting it ;-) good luck man.
@@InvincibleExtremes Given that Ford's "hottest" factory big-blocks made a whopping 5 hp more than the hottest Chevy 350s and Grumpy Jenkins cleaned house in Super Stock with a Camaro and a 375-hp 396 "blueprinted" and legally "modified" (I'm guessing an L88 427 cam) to as he put it "about 540" HP in front of a "Muncie", I really don't think "torque capacity" of a "Muncie" is a concern. Thats a simple conversion. Just need a pontiac bellhousing and an adapter plate from speedway. And a custom 26 spline input shaft.
Proof that ford really is the best.
For most things. Big block, trans, and 9 inch rear or the new super 8.8 irs... also new brakes
