Alessia i absolutely LOVE your videos. Thank you for combining education with entertainment so well. I will forever refer to hanging pieces as “free cheese macaroni” and any 3 move calculation will always be a “bing boom bang” 🙌
This has quickly become my favorite chess account on UA-cam. I'm loving this rating climb and how she explains the moves all the way through the games, which is what I need, lol.
Alessia is now by far my favorite Chess creator. This series is so fun to watch, especially the earlier episodes, they remind me of when I was a beginner.
it seems that she puts a lot of effort and time into these videos but she doesnt get a lot of views unfortunately.I think these types of content creators should be more known.wish for the best🙏🙏
I recommend Alessia to other chessplayers but even if we all do that she will always be an idol exclusively for chessplayers. Yeah, the elite. For us only. :-D
her videos just very recently started to show up for me even though I watch a lot of the more popular streamers (Anna, Botez sisters, Hikaru, Lev / Gotham), it seems like it her content should of been suggested and shown much sooner to be honest. And yeah she has a great personality and exuberance for video and chess and reminds me of Anna with her positivity and insight. Not sure what the magic answer is with UA-cam but her content still shows up rather infrequently even after subscribing and watching. I don’t know if she has these already but it would be good to see her do a react or cover some current matches with top players, maybe just not her thing but other channels tend to get higher views with magnus or hikaru etc featured in a game or her playing in NYC vs a trash talker etc... maybe something like that for variety and a way to get higher views and exposure? I dunno, she’s a favorite so just trying to suggest something and those ideas are prevalent with other channels and tend to get higher #’s of views.
This is one of the best chess channels. I really appreciate the detail with which you explain the moves and ideas. Your energy is also fantastic and engaging. My rating is the one the way back up and that is due in no small part to you reminding me to have fun playing.
Alessia, you're a blessing for amateur players like me. It's so rare to find content on UA-cam that is so on point, crystal clear and funny at the same time. Your Bing Bang Booms bring me the biggest smile. Thanks a lot
Glad i got recommended your videos, you deserve more subs. You clearly love chess and arw very knowledgeable, you explain things clearly too. I love your accent 😅
I'm not one to play gambits and I HATE IT when I have to play against it, but I am interested to see you playing some gambits and maybe explaining the best moves for both you and your opponent for the gambits played. Some gambits I struggle playing against are the King's Gambit, Vienna Gambit and Tennison/Danish Gambit
This is both fun & awesome educational content. Alessia, great job! Your enthusiasm is unique & infectious. One request - could you devote each game to a particular opening? So, one game with the London, one Sicilian, one Kings Indian and so on. That would increase the educational value for those of us who are working to simplify their learning by focusing on specific openings.
Just randomly came across one of your videos today and i absolutely loved your spirit and your sense of humor from the first minute 😂 .. your videos are amazing and really fun to watch keep up the good content .. And i hope your channel grow much faster in the future ❤️✌🏻
It is incredible how easy you win with a 1000 ratings. I thought about and i think that because your skill the match goes in a different way compared to ours. You goes from A to B to C without hiccups. For us instead it is a journey from A to C to B to A again .. and D ... following and trying to repair blunder and mistakes ....and often all falls apart. Maybe sometimes you can try to make a deliberately mistakes to teach how to come back and fix, if possible, in some way the error.
Basically, whenever we try a gambit inspired by you, we will remember it as the ‘Bing, Boom, Bang’ technique xd That phrase is also a nice merch idea (but of course, just an idea) 😏 Looking forward to the upcoming days of speedrun content ☺️
16:47 Your Bishop would take on c6 with check, removing the Queens defender and winning it on the next move. As for a Gambit to play in the next video, try the Rousseau Gambit as black (1. e4, e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4 f5?!)
Hello Alessia! I face alot of problems against 1. d4 . 😅 Can you tell the ultimate way to counter it? Also, a big question- I get very confused as to where I should develop my two bishops in different openings. Could you take different scenarios and tell your approach on how to decide the placement of the two bishops Thankyou so much. ❤
My problem is everyone is trying tricks at my current level and I spend all my time trying to remember what to counter them with. Or I'll try a normal opening and they don't respond in any way I've learnt.
🤚I have a question. I at 7:45, if they played Qe3 instead, would the e pawn not be lost after Nf6 followed by dxe5 or Nxe5? It's similar to the Spanish where after your opponent plays Nf6, you simply castle and leave the e pawn hanging because you will win it back after Re1.
Do you mean Qe2? If so, yes the e pawn is gone, but it doesn't matter since black still has equal material, while maintaining the initiative in the position and bullying the queen around after d6. I'd say position would be around -0.8 for black.
@@MasterInHD Oops. Thanks for the correction. Yeah I meant Qe2, I checked and stockfish said that after Nxe4, Qe2 is -2.2 because of d5 which defends the knight but also stops white from playing d5. However, if after Nxe4 white plays d5 (top engine move), then black plays Nd8, like in this game, Qe2 was apparently the best move for white and the position is equal (+0.2). I'm not saying that her not seeing this move would've lost her the game or anything but I just wanted to know if I was missing something.
Can you play the catalan, one of my favourites? If it has to be a gambit i think there is some variations where you sacrefice the A or B pawn. Also im waiting for you at 1900:)
There's a rule in chess called en passant where you can capture a pawn in passing if it moves 2 squares forward and you have a pawn on an adjacent file

I predict these will be as popular as the Habits series on Chess Brah. I really like the way you have presented these. Extremely simple to understand
I've now watched the first 5 of these and they are extremely instructive and presented in an excellent manner.

I was thinking the same thing. I recently got to 1000 elo and she makes this look very easy!
I am speechless.
Your tactics are good, strategy ditto.
I love it.Very beautiful and strong player.

There's a rule in chess called en passant where you can capture a pawn in passing if it moves 2 squares forward and you have a pawn on an adjacent file
En Passant, its not very common and people joke that its “forced” because its often tempting to do it just do to its rarity in occurrence.
