The colonial is a very typical Kieninger-type chime. Deep and resonant, with a lovely hour strike as well, quite booming. A pretty good choice :o The Emperor has chime hammer misalignment issues, a few hammers are too close to the chime rods and cause unpleasant sounds, so definite nope from me. The Worthington sounds very nice, but it isn't exactly my most favorite key. It just sounds a little too odd for my liking, so nope from me as well. The Ridgeway bracket mantel clock has a very cute chime, which is oddly resonant for how short the chime rods are. I like it, and it's a potentially good choice. The Howard Miller bracket clock sounds... Exactly the same. Maybe slightly more resonant than the Ridgeway. The decay is on point. It's a potentially good vote as well. :o The Seth Thomas tambour mantel clock sounds exactly like my Hamilton tambour mantel clock, which I quite like. There isn't too many unpleasant chime hammer strikes, so I think it's a great option as well! The Howard Miller 613-226 is quite a loud one, as you've said it stands out the most in terms of audio. The key of the chime rods isn't exactly my most favorite. However, due to just how loud and presenting it is, I gotta give it a potential vote! The little Howard Miller Joyce clock after this 613-226 is really cute. I love quiet chimes, and I adore the styling of the whole clock itself. Definitely a potential vote. The Canadian Hermle mantel clock is actually tuned in one of my favorite keys! I love this key of chime. I'm still listening to all the other clocks, but this may be my vote if I don't change my mind. The hour strike goes well with the westminster chime. The HAC mantel clock, while it is a very interesting model and perhaps one of the most unique in your collection, I don't like how uneven the chime is. It stutters a lot through the quarters. The hour strike does sound pleasant though. The Howard Miller Sandringham has very unpleasant absences of chime hammer silicon, and makes the chime very metallic and unpleasant. So nope from me. The Howard Miller Jenison is tuned in another one of my favorite keys, and it doesn't have very much chime hammer jiggling issues. I quite love this one. I think _this_ one is my vote. But I'm gonna keep listening. The Howard Miller Shelbourne is quiet. It sounds just like the Ridgeway and Howard Miller bracket clock. Personally I prefer my 1983 Shelbourne with a slightly deeper key. By the way, the issue with the chimes going out of sequence may be able to be fixed by taking off the minute hand and trying to put it in different positions. While I love the Westmont's case styling, sadly the last chime hammer for the lowest note is too close to the chime rod and needs to be bent back just a millimeter or so, it sounds too close and causes the chime rod to be dampened and it makes it unpleasant. If this weren't the case, it'd be a good option for me. Soooo TL;DR, the Howard Miller Jenison gets my vote!
To me, it’s by far the well balanced and tuned Colonial longcase clock. In second position, the Seth Thomas.I usually don’t like Howard Miller’s sound. The Westmount sounds good though, on the quarters. It’s the strike of the hours that sounds unpleasant to my ear
Full disclosure, I care very little for the chime quality of newer clocks. Even so, this was a fun challenge. While I briefly considered the Jennison, it suffers the same flaw as pretty much all Howard Miller clocks... A lack of richness and singing timbre. The chime rods on the Jennison are nice and deep, but, while resonating for quite a while, have a very flat and static sort of quality. The Westmont is the same... The deep tone of its long rods are overshadowed by its rather dull sound. The rest of the Howard Millers and the Ridgeway have that oh so typical doorbell chime sound thanks to their tiny chime rods, so I shall pass on those. The HAC had potential, but due to its surprisingly dreadful tuning and uneven chime cadence, it's out as well. So, I'm gonna be a lone ranger here, and vote for the Seth Thomas clock. Its chimes are sweet, mellow, and full-bodied, with a shimmering quality that none of the other clocks came even close to offering.
I like the Howard Miller 613-226 mantle clock,Seth Thomas tamber mantle clock, the HAC two key mantle clock, the Howard Miller 613-437 mantle clock, the Howard Miller Sandringham and the Howard Miller Joyce
I loved the Howard Miller Shelbourne Regulator the best. Has one of my favorite keys and is decently quiet to the point you can sleep through it. So that would be my vote!
Imma vote for the Howard miller 612-437 because I happen to own the 612-429 bracket mantle clock and the only differences between these two are the chimes are in an a scale and the clock face has the numbers instead of the Roman numerals and they both sound amazing
The Colonial Grandfather is the best. The Seth Thomas tambour also has an excellent timbre. Check the hammers on many of your clocks. Some of the notes are dead because the hammers are sitting on the rods instead of spring away after impact.
I'm voting for the Howard Miller Jennison, although the Colonial Grandfather clock was a close second for me. Awesome collection, my son loves watching your videos!
The Seth Thomas Marbury 6w is one of my favorite, because I have the same one, and it is a family heirloom. Mine although sounds a bit more deeper and resonant. I also really like the Westmont, but my favorite is the Colonial Grandfather Clock!
I like the colonial grandfather clock, seth Thomas mantal clock, Howard Miller Jeneson, Howard Miller Worthington mantel, and the west mont. Make the emperor grandfather clock sound better.
02:42 Colonial 04:01 Emperor 05:16 Howard Miller Worthington 06:30 Ridgeway 07:40 Howard Miller 612-437 09:00 Seth Thomas Timber 10:02 Howard Miller 613-226 11:18 Howard Miller Joyce 12:29 Canadian Triple Chime 13:40 HAC 15:02 Howard Miller Sandringham 16:18 Howard Miller Jennison 17:34 Howard Miller Shelbourne Regulator 19:01 Howard Miller Westmont
My vote is for the Howard Miller Worthington. Because I have a bracket mantle clock that the chime sounds just like it. Even though everyone it’s been broken for several decades I remember back when it was work and what it sounds like and the Worthington sounds just like the bracket clock that I have that’s why I choose that one. But the bracket clock is not a Ridgeway or Howard Miller it’s a German one. So my vote for the Howard Miller Worthington
I will Rank the clocks 1. Colonial grandfather clock 2. Howard miller regulator 3. Ridgeway bracket 4. Howard miller 613 226 5. Howard miller worthington 6. Canadian triple chime (NOS Westminster triple chime mantle clock) 7. Howard miller westmont 8. Howard miller graham 9. Howard miller jennison 10. Seth Thomas 11. Howard miller Joyce 12. Howard miller sandringham 13. emperor grandfather clock 14. HAC
I personally prefer Grandfather clocks but my mum wouldn’t like the idea of having one in the house that’s why I haven’t mentioned to her about getting one but I’d probably have one in my own house.
I think the grandfather sounded the best. Personally, my Lindens sound best to me of the forty clocks I've owned. Those and my Goldanker. But I'm partial to German clocks.

I own the Howard Miller Jennison. It sounds terrific. If you don’t have the room for a grandfather clock, go with the Jennison.
I loved the Howard Miller Shelbourne Regulator the best. Has one of my favorite keys and is decently quiet to the point you can sleep through it. So that would be my vote!
It's a type of schoolhouse clock.
Same key as the Howard Miller and Ridgeway mantel clocks, F-major.

I personally prefer Grandfather clocks but my mum wouldn’t like the idea of having one in the house that’s why I haven’t mentioned to her about getting one but I’d probably have one in my own house.
you should really adjust the chime hammers on some of your clocks.. especially the emperor grandmother clock.. it’s pretty simple to do.
I've been working on fixing this issue on a lot of my clocks.
I would vote all the Westminster chime clocks
I think the grandfather sounded the best. Personally, my Lindens sound best to me of the forty clocks I've owned. Those and my Goldanker. But I'm partial to German clocks.
But which Grandfather clock specifically? I own two, an Emperor and a Colonial.
