Can you please please tell me what sort of batteries does this pick up use ? And is it ok for live performances ?

My only complaint: it’s not a pickup! It’s not a magnetic pickup like on electric bass, and it’s not a piezo. It is in fact a MICROPHONE. Which of course is why it sounds so much better on upright bass than any pickup. My one concern would be with feedback at higher volumes.

Hay guys;
I noticed with the violin, that the microphone was bouncing all over as you played. Have you tried to stabilize it at all? I'm just wondering if the bouncing causes any change in the sound of the music. I'm also wondering if you could get more volume out of it with a preamp?

Are the microphones they used for violin and bass the exact same performance, just different lengths?

I know this is old but do you think the suction cup on the pickup would affect or damage the wood or varnish on a violin?

Is this pickup requires sound interface or we can connect directly to lappy for recording
