Ah, back when Noggin was WAAAY more than just a preschool channel. Then they made a separate teen block, which became its own channel, and is now TeenNick and Nick no longer had a TeeNick block in its channel. I will admit, the preschool shows were a guilty pleasure of mine as a 7-8 year old up until I discovered Nicktoons.
I do not remember...any of these Noggin bumpers! All I remember is the tree bumper from Oobi and Miffy & Friends, the horn bumper from Play With Me Sesame, the music bumper from Jack's Big Music Show, the Nick Jr bumper used before Nick Jr shows airing on Noggin, and the segments from Noggin!
seeing Noggin bumpers just makes me feel like i was given a warm hug. Noggins style is very charming and i wouldve loved it (back in the 2000s). but i was born in 2011 so i grew up with PBS kids, Babyfirst, Qubo, (i adore Qubo) Pbs Kids Sprout, Cartoon Network, even Nickeloden. i love the early 2000's because its very odd and quirky but also because it gives me a distant warm glow / feeling when i look back in the 2000's Note: i dont like comments that say "YOUR TOO YOUNG OMG GET OFF THE INTERNET *BARES TEETH*" so im asking that you would not TRY to get me off the internet by saying this (it wont work )
As someone who grew up in the late 90s and early 2000s, I can confirm that era was a pretty neat time for kids tv. Kind of an experimental era in a way. Heck, the Nicktoons channel was way different back then and the bumpers on there had a LOT of charm as did some of the other content they aired between shows. They'd even show Kablam! shorts during commercial breaks, like Life With Loopy, Action League Now, and a few others I can't remember atm. That channel was how I became obsessed with Invader Zim and Ren and Stimpy as a kid. ^_^
Actually, Feetface is when the art direction changed (2002). Once Noggin moved all it's adolescent content over to The N, that's when Noggin fully became a preschool channel and changed its art direction.
There was actually a different mascot that was introduced before Moose and Zee came into the picture. I watched Noggin for so long even after it became a full blown preschool channel with a teen oriented primetime block that I remember when the art direction drastically changed. I still remember that little song the first preschool mascot sang at the end of preschool programming and right before The N's shows came on. I will give The N one thing, it DID introduce my kid self to Daria. Still gotta check out the rest of that show one of these days.
@@cubeforspeed9384 Noggin is an informal, slightly silly way to say “head.” It’s only had this meaning in American English since the 1860s. Earlier, noggin was slang for “a small cup, mug, or drink” in a dialect of British English. The word is still used this way in Scottish and Irish English. Definitions of noggin.
I remember some of these despite not watch at this time... meaning I am probably just remembering an old VHS tape we might have recorded before the channel changed in 2002 I really like the creativity in these bumpers
Noggin bumpers of the time were absolutely scary. I'm glad I was born in 2007 and the Noggin I grew up with the first few years of my life was with Moose and Zee.
That was because the channel was made for more of an adolescent audience at first. I am a channel historian, and I do research on television channels. Before 2002, when Noggin became a channel for preschoolers and The N is where all adolescent content was put, it was primarily an adolescent channel with some preschool content.
