(The Gatlantens new weapon quickly targets and fires at the Zoelguut-class Super Dreadnought "Sehrgut", severely damaging her, forcing the Garmillas bridge crew to separate the bridge section from the main hull..... but they do not get far as the Gatlantean weapon powers up again.) Governor-General Goran "Thunder" Dagam: [ordering the Magma Flame-Strike Gun to fire again] "FIRE!!!" Lt. General Badevel: "Go to full speed! HURRY!" (The escape craft is completely annihilated. Meanwhile aboard the Gatlantean Flagship, a Medalusa-Class Heavy Battleship called the "Megaruda".) Governor-General Goran "Thunder" Dagam: [laughs evilly, while stabbing his own sword on the floor] "Hm Hm Hm Hm!!! HA HAH HA HA HA HA!!! Have you learned your lesson, you blue Gamilan vermin?" (from the 2014 Japanese anime film "Space Battleship Yamato 2199: Odyssey of the Celestial Ark")

レイテ沖海戦のハルゼー提督を参考にした、バルゼー提督。
この時代まだあの戦争の生き残りの方がいました。

この曲もプロレスラーが登場する時に採用されたら、ラスボス感が溢れ対戦相手に恐怖を与えそうだ。

レコード(CDではない)で聞いて、面白いアレンジだなあ、本編でも行けるな、と思ってたら、宇宙戦艦ヤマト2で早速使ってて、西崎抜け目ないなあ、と感心した覚えがあります。

リメイクのバルゼーも、殲滅から中央突破のつもりが、防壁に歯が立たず、劇場版バルゼーになってしまい残念だなと思ってます。
帝国駆逐艦の快進撃を実写版で見たかったです！その点、スターウォーズ定番デストロイヤー老兵にあらず(..)

バルゼーと土方の死闘ですね。
ヤマト２の方に出てくるバルゼー提督は第二次世界大戦の時に登場する米海軍のハルゼー提督と顔もパーソナリティーも何となく似ているが、それとは別に美味しんぼに登場する海原雄山とも似ていることに最近気付いた。外見は海原雄山を殆どそのまま緑色の皮膚にしただけ。声優は同じ人だった。似ているワケだ。
土星沖海戦がレイテ沖海戦のオマージュですから。アメリカ軍の圧倒的戦力対日本の連合艦隊最後の出撃です。土方艦長がバルゼーの火炎直撃砲の前にほとんど全滅寸前で逆転勝利しましたから、連合艦隊の無念を晴らすつもりがあったのでしょう。

星巡る方舟の冒頭の強者感は良かったけど、最後はチート(真田さん)使っちゃいかんやろ…
それでも星巡るだと「恐るべき兵器」という感じだったのが、2202だとスルーだったのがね。
ダカームは直情径行の猛将だったから読みやすかっただけ。みたいな感じだったら普通にヤバい兵器だったのに。
真田さんが対策法立てるの早すぎなんよね………
