Meg seemed so much more happy and self-assured back then. If you look at her interviews promoting You've got Mail 5 years later, she seems much more withdrawn and uncomfortable with fame and Hollywood.

I love the funny little mannerisms in her movies like flinging the strap on her bathrobe as she leaned in to put on the radio to listen to "Sleepless " Sam's story again, while Walter slept. Also she has a familiar walk that is so recognizable, . I was standing next to her on a nighttime cruise around NYC , for young people (when we were both in our 20s). She was a soap actress then on ATWT. My friend had gone off to get drinks and so had Meg's. I wanted to say hello, but was too shy. Little did I know I was right next to a future star of my favorite romantic moves ! "
