Just moved here 3 months ago from NC, I would say Portland has its charm, however, please consider commuting to the city rather than be within Portland itself. I think nobody is expressing truthfully the danger, the homelessness crisis, and the sheer unpredictability. Not to scare you, but it’s truly the truth.
[ also I live in a bubble area, an area where it’s friendly and neighborly, but as soon as you step out of this safe shell, you never know what could happen ]
You could live outside the city and cut off at least $1k-1500 in rent. These couple needs to brainstorm further how to save their hard earned money and not blow it off on rent.
@@bencastro921 if you actually watch the video, you’ll know that they currently live in the suburbs and own their house. They’re going to rent their house and use that money towards their rent in the city so actually, they’re spending very little on housing. Also let me know where you lived when you were in your early twenties! Odds are you didn’t want to live in the suburbs so don’t be an ass
Congratulations to your new home! I really liked the street view and the colours of the first apartment compared to the other ones, but the walk-in closet took too much space which could have been used for the living room. But I guess you guys took the apartment with the kitchen island :D
I'm graduating from college on May 1 and living in downtown Portland too! So happy and comforted that I am going through this transition with you simultaneously. Can't wait to see more vlogs. Apartment #6 was my favorite!
This was soooo helpful!!! Planning on moving to Portland at the end of the summer. This got me so excited. Thank you!!!
Such an exciting update! Big fan of the kitchen island🤩 Excited to see which one you got!
Yay! thank you!!

I think this is wrong and you’re living in fear. I’m 23 and live and work in the city and it’s totally fine.

I just moved into the first building you showed and live in a corner unit & it’s amazing!
May be too late but check out the Commodore and Winston.
in love with #4
I love apartment 1 and 3! Any additional info on the apartment complex? I’ll be moving to Portland in March!
Same question here. What’s the name of the apartment?
Please tell me you picked number 3!!!!
What about for a budget of $1600/1700 a month, 1 bedroom. Thanks!
We’re moving to PDX at the end of August! How quickly were the move in dates? Do we need to look further than a weeks out?
Which one was apartment 3?
Can you please send me info on apartment 1, I live in Tigard and my husband and I are looking to move into Portland to be closer to my work.

Its funny....if you grow up in the city you'll eventually want to live in the suburbs.....and visa versa.
I like number 6
