Thank you for showing class and self-control by not inserting yourself into the Crowder/DW drama… I’ve been meditating on Psalm 101 about living a life of integrity and not participating in anything vile or crooked… the excitement our society is getting from a dramatic story that involves actual broken friendships and betrayal, is vile and from the Enemy. We are to let God renew our minds and not partake in these matters. Thank you also for referring to scripture in all your responses rather than defaulting to just expressing feelings. I appreciate your podcast!!
@@georgewagner7787 that is good for you to be an exception. The number of views on videos related to this issue say a lot of people are getting a rise out of the drama and it would be easy for Allie to jump in with slander and rumors. And in general, you could replace this particular issue with anything else going on in our culture and see that the things we draw our attention to are vile, vulgar, and divisive. Blessings!
Totally agree on the "crunchy", Allie The bloom was off the rose after I watched the PBS special 1900 House in the early 2000's. It reminded me how blessed we are to have the advances in medicine and plumbing that we have today! I love nostalgia, but I would never want to go back to the days when literally evey family had lost at least one child!
Either I'm living under a rock or spending too much time reading Spare, but I hadn't even heard about this Crowder v. DW drama. And about all I would say is that anyone making good money in any form of edifying media should simply count their blessings and labor with great joy and conviction, not looking to the right or left. And I say that as one who worked in Christian radio for decades. It was a privilege, especially, as I look back, being Servant Robb on an AM Gospel station in DC in the '80s.
CH Spurgeon has a lot of quotes regarding shame over sin and I think y'all are spot on. If you don't have some shame, you don't have motivation to change and to not do that sin again
Bromelain!! Pineapple!! Praying you are well very soon!♥ And I totally agree with you on the "He Gets Us" campaign. We weren't misunderstood. God was. Jesus came to reveal the Father to us and pay our way back to Him.
Mad respect for having thoughts about the crowder dw situation and deciding to respectfully decline to respond as it’s not your battle… totally get it…
My husband is a plumber so he handles a lot as far as immunity goes. However he will be brought down by my toddlers illness so having small children definitely brings that season into the home lol.
Shame is a short term emotion intended to lead us to repentance and restoration. When it hangs on it’s usually because repentance or the need for it is denied or avoided.
I appreciate your effort to keep up your program while recovering from the flu. May God continue to help you recover and keep your family well too. My daughter has had a ROUGH year with viruses just because her son started pre-school!
Thank you for calling out the "He gets us" commercials. I have studied them a lot and "sin, hell, judgment and repentance are never mentioned. The cross and the atonement that Jesus provided is never mentioned. The "jesus" they are promoting is NOT the Jesus of the Bible and a person cannot get saved through their "gospel."
Yes! I actually learned of this "campaign" over a year ago and sent an email asking for their views on sin, repentence, etc. and asking why they didn't present the Gospel on their page and they came back with some wonky response about Jesus loving everyone or something like that ... I can't find the email exchange anymore but I knew they were way off. Every time I see the commercial I pray for people to be led to the TRUE Jesus in spite of their watered down, false jesus.
Makes me sad watching this unfold. This culture war is so much bigger than any one person or any network. All voices are needed not combat the culture going against God’s will and plan. Hope this issue doesn’t destroy a friendship and we can get our focus back
I see it as good it's being so well played out, I see so much division in our local conservative, religious and freedom groups and I'm watching this hoping they find common ground to move forward so we have an idea as to how we eill locally mend ties and be stronger for it
Do you really think any of these ppl really care about God's will or plan? Is that what they're really fighting for, or are they really just fighting for themselves?
He didn't need to start the drama and make it public, he didn't need to record his friend, and he shouldn't show a smug look when he said in his video he recorded the call. If you don't like the initial offer (not a contract) and didn't want to go back and forth negotiating for months like the other employees did, then move on and go your separate ways.
SC did not reveal any names. DW spilled the information. Plus, SC exposed DWs contractual agenda that puts all the onus on the employee. Even Candace Owens failed to see it before she signed.
Yeah you should do some research. Jeremy Boreing and Crowder weren’t friends given the crap offer they sent over to Steven. All that happened was Steven realized just how grimy conservative media was, and exposed it.
I absolutely am with you about modern medicine! Having a child with severe issues from drug exposure, medicine is the only thing that has helped her. It makes me so sad that she needs it but I am thankful for it!!
Also, one more thing that she could have added that might be helpful is that when God commanded the death penalty for the murder of another human being, He gave the command to ALL of humanity at the time (before giving the Law of Moses to Israel) because He specifically addressed Noah and his family (who are direct ancestors of every single person alive today), after the worldwide flood (see Genesis 9).
My ex-girlfriend broke off our relationship of several years as we were working toward marriage. Now she's cohabiting with an unbeliever she's not married to and they have a child together and have taken things in a completely different order than I would have chosen to with her in trying to follow God. I still pray for her. I think people should make sure their reasons for breaking off an engagement are always guided by the word of God, but even if they aren't, it could be that God is using the breakup more for the protection of the person being broken up with than the one doing the breaking up.
Yes! Shame is productive to lead us to repentance in Christ and turn away from sin. Finally, God's grace isn't shame on you but shame off you when He forgives us and our sin is wiped away.
On the He gets us campaign… I don’t know why, but I have also been skeptical from the first commercial I saw. I want to like it, but something just doesn’t feel right. I was just at winter jam in Jacksonville Florida and they were talking about it there too. Thank you for covering it. Btw I got one of my daughters hooked on you. Trying to get the other one too 😂🥰🙏
I haven't heard about the first story you talked about-- and I went and searched on UA-cam under _David_ Crowder. Whoops. I'll go listen to the correct videos about it now.
Spurgeon said, "We deserve eternal shame and contempt because of our sin, but he took all that shame upon himself, and made this wonderful exchange." And I couldn't agree more.
I’m only at the beginning of this episode but totally the same about the sickness! Our family rarely gets/got sick but we’ve been sick a lot in the last few months ! Colds, flu, stomach bug, pink eye, weird rashes .. all of it! Also … wannabe crunchy ! That’s me! Made me laugh ! I’m an essential oil, homeopathic loving person but I’ll also wipe my diffuser down with a Clorox wipe … I believe there’s a balance . Thanks for keeping it real here . Prayers you feel better soon
Well I think you're definitely wrong about predestination. It is a nice thought for sure but a bad doctrine. But beyond that you are spot on! Keep up the good work!
DATING APPS: If you're considering them, try joining a singles group on FB! A lot of them are specific to a worldview and put less pressure on you since you can interact in comment sections, answer polls, ect instead of messaging someone one-on-one right away. My husband and I met in one of these groups and I'd 100% recommend it over a dating app. The only downside is that you don't always meet locals. That was our case, I was in MO and he was in FL so we did long distance until we get engaged and I moved to be closer to him while planning the wedding.
I agree with Ali about the “He gets us”campaign. In my city, I’m seeing their ads displayed on billboards. Something about the campaign I find irritating for the same reasons that Ali described.
I can see both sides of the predestination/free will debate. I believe whichever side you fall on there will always be verses that are hard to reconcile. I will say, that for those who believe in Calvinist predestination a huge problem is trying to reconcile the numerous passages that warn against falling away. Note the book of Hebrews. If it’s possible to fall away then that would take away their security and so they disregard those passages altogether.
It is up to God whether I find myself in a world in which I am predestined; but it is up to me whether I am predestined in the world in which I find myself.
Someone may have already made this recommendation or you may already know about this, Allie, but daily vitamin D3, zinc and quercetin can possibly help immunity. Also alternating hot/cold showers, or at minimum ending a hot shower with cold water. Just suggestions. Hope you’re 💯 % soon!
Re: 'He Gets Us'. Good thoughts. Jesus isn't just a kind uncle. He is so much more than that. He asks us to repent. Hmmm, Many are called but few are chosen. Why are they not chosen? Because their hearts are set so much upon the things of this world.
Glad you’re seemingly on the mend, Allie! On the predestination question, Christians fight so needlessly. I think because we forget multiple things can be true at the same time. The Bible says God had a salvation plan predestined to save the elect (the Body of Christ, the Church) before the foundation of the world. So it’s true. Let’s all believe it. The Bible is also clear we have a choice and need to rightly use it to choose Christ, and the salvation He provided. Or we bear responsibility of our sin and the consequences. So it’s true. Let’s all believe it. The only issue is when we isolate things as if it’s the whole story. Ex: God predestined salvation, so that means He chose who would accept and only offers salvation to them. Well, that ignores that God wants all to be saved. And that we choose. You have to keep them together. God predestined to save the Church, we have the choice and responsibility of if that includes us. Yes, even though God has omniscience. He predestined the plan, and calls all. Only those who respond in faith and become “in Christ” will be saved.
@Melissa Eberhart Read that verse in context of the passage and the entire book. The "...not wishing that any should perish..." is a reason for "...his patience toward you..." To properly understand this verse, you need to find out who the "you" is that Peter is writing to. 2 Peter 1:1 reveals that Peter is writing to "...those who have obtained a faith of equal standing with ours..." (in other words, Christians). Peter is saying that God is not willing that any of His elect (those chosem by God before Creation) should perish, so He is patient with them until the time that they come to repentance. This is not saying God is unwilling that every single person perish. If God wanted to save everyone, He would save everyone.
@@slash903 friend, that’s reading into things something it doesn’t say. It says God is patient so as to give EVERYONE a chance/call to come to saving grace. But He doesn’t force you, you accept or reject the gift.
@Melissa Eberhart That's literally not what the letter says. He is patient with those Peter is writing to, which are Christians. You can't argue with words. It's very clear. And the Bible is also clear on salvation: God does not want to save everyone. If He did, everyone would be saved. No one can come to Jesus unless the Father draws them. It has nothing to do with us accepting or rejecting. It's all God's decision.
Allie I have been the exact same way with sickness. I think staying in from Covid has caused a lot of bugs to come out more. Plus our immune systems haven’t been fighting as much since staying away from more crowded spaces. I also used to pride myself on never being sick and I’ve been sick every 2 months since January 2021.
I look forward to your He Gets Us video. The ads have given me an oogey feeling i couldn't quite pit my finger on but it made me feel uncomfortable in my soul like Jesus was being given the short shrift.
Crowder, I think, means well. That's the most I can say for him, as starting a battle between conservatives and making everyone look petty, and secretly recording his friend, and making outrageous accusations against DW for "enforcing big tech" is unconscionable.
What are your thoughts on The Bible Project. They Do a FANTASTIC job with illustration and narrative but I was SHOCKED to find out that they do not believe that hell or demons exist when I caught the fact that the lead pastor struggled with a Scripture that referred to demons..(so I did a little follow up research). The popular movie series The Chosen gives us pause. I need to finish listening to your interview with the author of that series. Too much "Jesus loves you" and not enough "Jesus-God hates sin" creates a very imbalanced (false) gospel that is easily manipulated.
Predestination explained - God doesn't pick or choose who gets saved. We have complete few will to choose. His foreknowledge allows him to know who ultimately will believe. So with that knowledge, He chooses us and paves the way to our destiny.
@@amyk87 agreed! But your misrepresenting reformed theology. We don’t teach or believe God creates people with the purpose of sending them to hell. We are all headed there , God saves some ( grace) and leaves some in their sin ( justice)
I've heard your argument about "Jesus gets us" being used by a lot of people arguing against The Chosen, saying the producers are trying to make Jesus too relatable to people, specifically in the storyline of Matthew. I can definitely see why some people would think this about The Chosen, but I think the show is more of a step in the right direction for people opening up their Bibles. Perhaps "Jesus gets us" subtly invites people to open their Bibles as well, but I don't know if that's the case.
We use essential oils, supplements, and making sure we pay attention to vitamins and minerals in our diet that contribute to gut health where it supposedly all begins. I’m not anti-modern medicine at all! Just haven’t had good experiences with doctors.
Yeah, sure Crowder is right if you believe it is okay to secretly record your "friend" during a private conversation that he initiated and expose that conversation on the internet. You definitely have a warped sense of what is right???
It seems as though getting the covid virus itself has actually weakened our immune systems down to a cellular level. As a hairstylist, seeing half of my clients end up with major hair loss after covid really made me think. Since when does a respiratory virus affect your hair? Along with that, since I had covid about a year ago, I have myself been dealing with flared autoimmune conditions, inflammation, and my immune system generally not being as strong as it was before. Unfortunately, there is still so much we don't know about covid. I can say this though, if anyone thinks it was not genetically engineered they are off their rocker LOL Since when in history does a respiratory virus wreak this kind of havoc in the general population in so many ways? We are unhealthier now. And that was the point.
Allie if you've been taking antibiotics please please take lots of probiotics. My good friend took antbioticfor this weird flu going around and her whole body seized in inflammation, she has been in so much pain.
Great advice! Maybe that happened because antibiotics only treat bacterial infections, not viruses? Antibiotics tear down our immune systems by killing the good bacteria that fights illness. Of course, sometimes, once in a while, secondary infection can happen after getting a virus, but there are SO many natural things that can kill infections, that won't tear our immune systems down. When it comes down to it, as long as we've each done our research, we need to do what we are comfortable with. Some people are more comfortable with antibiotics. Praying for healing Allie!!🙏
If Steven didn’t like the terms, he should have negotiated. If he doesn’t want to be reliant on advertisers he shouldn’t rely on the business model @ the dw. Propose to them a different model and possibly accept less revenue. Or start your own business. This seems very immature of him, clout chasing unfortunately
First I will say I don't support everything Steven did, I.E. the recording, however in the same video he did try to talk to them about a different business model. I do agree he shouldn't have blown this up however.
There was more to it than that. At this time I’m not going to pick a side. I’m a paid DW subscriber and will continue to be. I was a lwc Blaze subscriber until several months ago. I watched Rekeita Law discuss the contract. It was very helpful. I also watched Crowder on Tim Pool. I don’t like that DW tried to poach one of Crowder’s employees while they were supposed to be friends as well so it seems they both valued something else over their friendship. It’s unfortunate, all of it. A bit of infighting might keep people honest as well I suppose, if there’s a bright side.
@@xman10290 If he has done that and they weren't interested, so what? He also wasn't interested in what they proposed at first. That isn't scummy of either of them. @@planckismus I wouldn’t do it either but I wouldn’t do any of the great stuff Crowder does either. I try to put myself in others shoes to better understand them. Again, I’m a DW paid subscriber because I believe in what they’re doing. I understand both sides.
I was going to not comment on the dinosaurs but the Bible mentions a creature that God calls behemoth in Job. This was clearly a very large animal with a long powerful tail and large very strong bones, probably a relation to what is being found all over the world today. Also in Job He mentions leviathon a very large sea creature that no man can catch.
You are in a season where your small children are building their immune system. God is giving you and your husband a booster to your immune system so that you will not get really sick when you are older.
I think you have to be really careful how you talk about shame. That word is so loaded. Something that brings awareness of sin and our need for repentance, when done in a restorative and constructive way - yes. If it is done with the intent to humiliate, embarrass, cause self loathing and hopelessness, no way. When used regarding cultural norms and group behavior, I think the intent is to bring awareness, how our actions impact others (and how they see us, especially in the church). One should never tell a child “shame on you!”
For anyone who is against the death penalty they need to understand that we are all born with a death sentence and without salvation through Jesus Christ we are all on death row.
Allie something to think about....a Presbyterian pastor told me aborted babies would go to Hell if they weren't predestined. That took the argument to another level to me! You say you believe in predestination yet acknowledge capital punishment should be enacted in some cases even though the perpetrator could be saved still. How can that be if you are predestined? What is the point of Jesus saying pick up your cross and follow me, The Lord's Prayer (keep us from temptation)? Yes, God can and does choose ppl to follow him but that can also mean he gives everyone a chance to follow him and believe in him and those that do are chosen.
If God left the chance to us, nobody would choose him because we are all dead. What is the point in making us spiritually alive only to choose or not to choose him, why not let the dead man stay dead, at least he will be spared of the sin of refusing God after being made alive. If you have accepted Jesus, it is only because he made you alive, which gave you faith and made you willing to accept him. No other explanation fits the bill. We are dead to sin, slaves to sin, why free the salve if there is a possibility he cannot break loose?
I am grateful for my bipolar meds. Mental illness is simply another kind of illness and should be treated as such. I don't need deliverance because it's just chemical imbalance.
About the dating app, my wife and i found each other or were lead to each other on a dating app 14yrs ago. But you really have to be careful because there are many good people to meet but there are also a lot of depraved minds there as well.
For the predestination issue: I believe I predestination but I think under Calvinism it’s not rightly defined. Ephesians 1:4 “in Him we are predestined to be holy and blameless” The Romans passage - notice it says “those who love Him” If you indeed are in Christ, yes you have a choice and faith is not a work. Those who are in Him are predestined to be glorified. That simple! And lovely! The atonement is not limited! And salvation is conditional upon belief in Jesus! How wonderful! Simple and lovely! Notice the “freewill offering” in the OT :) I’m always plugging Soteriology 101 as they have brought me out of such a dark place!
If you chose it’s a work:) If God opens yurt eyes to His truth and then you chose it’s a gift; all of God. The author and finisher of our salvation. Dead in sin and trespass means unable to save yourself. It does not say sick it’s dead.
@@dfischer5878 “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9 Why would Paul constraint faith and works if they’re the same? Grace comes through faith - not works
@@lauren8407 agreed grace comes through faith, it is a gift:) A gift God chose to give. I do not accept til He removes the dead heart and replaces it with one of flesh. And dead used in that verse means dead in the Greek . We are spiritually dead unable to save ourselves.
For the people that have a difficulty with predestination (and by extension double predestination), the problem is not reformed theology or Calvinism. All men including babies in the womb, deserve nothing but eternal damnation, the fact God chose some and did not condemn all, should be so humbling. Sadly, it causes some to think it is a monstrous view of God simply because he gave some mercy and some the JUSTICE they deserve as children of Adam. If you have a problem with predestination, i.e why God chooses some and not others, you are by that argument saying mercy/grace is deserved. No!! It is justice (the wrath of God), that is deserved, mercy and grace are not mandatory, he gives it to whoever he chooses which has nothing to do with the individual. And the reason this doesn't contradict the need to evangelise is because the elect who are yet to be saved and will be saved, will only be saved through the gospel. So yes we don't know who all the elect are but we know as the bible says he has chosen the elect even before the foundation of the world. You might as well take your issue to God himself, how dare he create a world knowing before Gen1:1 he had a chosen people. Who am I to question the wisdom of God?
Wowwww...Sounds like a false teaching to me. God's grace and mercy are not available to all people??? A man can be saved but can rest assured no matter how far he strays, he is chosen, so it's all good. Are you one of the chosen? So you are saying no one else is worthy of God's mercy? He only died on the cross for a select few? Very disturbing.
@i.m. watching yes, he died on the cross for the people God had elected before time. If you find this troubling, then why are you not equally concerned that this same God, knowing very well Adam will fall and bring unfathomable evil to the world still went ahead and created him? Are all people just as they were lost in or through Adam saved in Christ? NO! Only those who are elected by grave and untied to Christ. Amen.
@Addjoa preko baah So why are not ALL worthy of that? Why are you so confident you are chosen? Are there some that THINK they are but not really???? This is a dangerous doctrine and I am finished debating. By the way, I was pretty certain you would say you were.
gospel wise of he gets us yes followers are fishers of mankind but not all are going to a. follow and b. agree with the rest of the flock... as someone who has not seen these commercials because i dont watch tv and havent watched since 2007 , I cant say details about the commercials but im formerly christian ... when i was christian i would have taken the brother and sister of christ view over the distance of deity christ... and i know you probably caught at the formerly christian part but i cant now i lost my mind and it was shaky before but now i just cant right now... i may be able to in the future the meds are helping :)
Predestination is meant for us all, but we are the ones who can negate it. I can't believe God would create people to perish. I'm well-read in scripture.
Romans 9:17-18 If predestination is meant for all of us than God’s plan of redemption has failed since not all are saved. Israel was a chosen called out nation , yes? God in His so do will chose a people to save and He still does it that way today. “ I am the Lord I change not” Malachi 3:6 I am the Lord I change not”

A woman that I knew had been an adulteress. She got saved. Whenever we heard of an adulterous situation, she always took sides with the adulterer and excused their behavior. She was ashamed about her own adultery and tried to hide it as much as possible. I believe it is because she had incomplete repentance. Though I don't think she ever committed adultery after being saved, it seems she wouldn't take full responsibility for it, instead, I'm guessing she pushed the blame on her husband.
what predestination gets wrong is the foreknowledge....God foreknew who would get saved before time began but that doesn't mean He chooses who gets saved and who doesn't...that also leaves out our free will
33:08 "He chose us." So God has spoken to you and told you you were one of the chosen? What a haughty thing to say. What was the point of Jesus dying on the cross if I can just live however if God chose me. Why is there a penalty for sin? It's God's fault for not choosing me. Why does He punish people (sending people to Hell) because He made the decision to not choose them? What if I believe with all my heart that I've been saved but when I die it turns out that I wasn't one of the chosen? So many holes in the reformed faith.
Jesus died as an atonement for sin. Scripture is so very clear my friend that we are all sinners headed to hell. But God, in His mercy saves some by nothing they have done. No one will be in hell who was trying to get to heaven. The reason we share the free offer of the gospel is because it’s an offer for the world. We do the planting God does the saving. So we have no reason to boast. If there is some quality in me that in my own efforts I chose Christ then I have reason to boast. God saves sinners.
God has made it clear in the bible that he has chosen some even before the foundation of the world. Jesus died on the cross for God's chosen people, the reason they can never lose their salvation, ever!!! Sinners are not begging not to go to hell, they are actually willingly skipping and hopping there, unless God elects you, you will never chose him. The faith to accept Jesus in itself is a gift God gives not something within.
@@addjoaprekobaah5914 Then what is the point of praying for the lost? Why get sad if anyone isn't saved? Why mourn the lost souls? Why care? It's already been decided. And if anyone goes to hell then it's because God has decided that they will go there. If I pray for an unsaved friend to go to heaven, then I could be praying against God's will if God already made a list of who is or isn't going to heaven.
@@dfischer5878 God can't save anyone unless we "plant" something? We have no reason to boast because we don't do good works for salvation, not because there was already a master list. We must accept the gift of salvation that has been offered to everyone, not just certain ones on a list. Why pray for the lost? Maybe your unsaved relative/friend is just not on the list? What's the point of praying for someone not on the list? We'd be praying against the will of God. Why share the gospel at all? Maybe everyone we share it with wasn't even on the list anyway. And if someone is on the list, then they're going to Heaven and there's no point in praying for them either.
@Alyssa Harris We pray because God works through means to achieve his already determined will for the elect. The elect will be saved through the gospel, so regardless, we still pray and go out with the message, it's called privilege, providence even. God is giving us the opportunity to be part of what he is doing. Did God know Moses will not go to the promise land? Why didn't he wait and choose Joshua, but chose Moses to get them to a point. Paul tells us in ROMANS God does all things for ñhis glory. I get it's hard for people to accept that some are elected to salvation and some to damnation, but just like I wish there was no hell, if God in his wisdom has created hell, I regardless of my difficulty at times accept it, because I'm foolish, and God is wise. The Bible says we have been chosen before the foundation of the world, Calvinist or Armanian, if all are not saved, then some have been chosen, simple. Why is God not saving all, because he CAN, if he chooses to. Blessings.
Allie, I love you as a sister in Christ, but I so disagree that the verses you used “prove” predestination. The “elect” and “predestined” are all believers, period. I would just hate for someone to listen to those verses being misinterpreted and think they have no chance to get to Heaven because they’re not part of the “frozen chosen” of Calvinism. Calvinism is a distorted, divisive doctrine, and it’s just not Scriptural. Jesus didn’t die for the sins of some people - He took on ALL the sin of ALL creation. God states over and over in His Word that He loves the WHOLE world and desires that NO ONE should be lost. That means He doesn’t arbitrarily create some people to just throw into Hell, but He does know who will reject His call and thus ultimately end up separated from Him.
So your point of arbitrarily creating someone to throw them in hell is I misconception. All of us are born with a sin nature ; thus heading to hell. God in His mercy saves sinners not for anything they have done or that he knew they would do. God in justice passes over others leaving them in their sin. Are free will is limited to our nature. Reformed theology does not teach we know who the elect are it’s why we push the free offer of the gospel. If two people sit under the same same message and one walks away saved and the other unchanged, it is not that the saved one was somehow better. God opened the eyes if one and not the other.
@@dfischer5878 My point isn’t a misconception at all. You literally acknowledged that you believe God “passes over others leaving them in their sin”. It’s exactly the same thing, and it’s not Biblical. He repeatedly states that He wishes for no one to be lost, and that He loved THE WORLD that WHOSOEVER believes will be saved. As I said before, He created us with entirely free will. Adam and Eve had a choice to sin or not, and He knew that they would,so His plan for salvation was put into action. If He only desired to save some who are predestined, why go through the torture of killing His son for people He had already decided would be saved? Calvinists can never answer that question. Never.
Roman’s 9:11-13 John 1:13 Romans 9:10-24 We are all sinners it’s very clear God does not save every one, we agree on this. However , scripture is clear we can not save ourselves; He must. Romans 9:22 supports that God leaves some in their sin. John 3:16 “whosoever “ is where we disagree ,I too believe all who call upon the name of the Lord will be saved. Where we differ is I must be regenerated before I even have a desire to be saved. It’s God who initiates salvation ; we only respond when He removes the heart of stove and replaces it with a heart of flesh. I know I had zero to do with my salvation and I sure was not seeking God. This understanding of the doctrine of salvation leaves me to give all the glory to God. Soli Deo Gloria
@@dfischer5878 John 3:16 You responded to His call. You did not wake up one morning a Christian with a desire for Him. He worked in you until you responded. We have no part in earning our salvation. We respond to His gift, given to ALL through Christ’s completed work on the cross. And I see you also have no response for the Calvinist problem of Adam and Eve CHOOSING to sin and God then putting forth His Son as a sacrifice instead of saving Himself and Christ the trouble and suffering, which is completely unnecessary if He has already decided who will be in Heaven and who will not.
No problem at all.. Adam and Eve were without sin ( only humans in history) they disobeyed by choice:) We however inherit that sin nature and our choices are tainted by that sin. We are not Adam and Eve , they had no inherit sin
Drama? Pretty boring actually
Blessings!
My prayers are with you and I hope you heal quickly. I am a retired veteran living in Florida and I have come so badly to rely on your UA-cam post.
Check out the site for the Tenement museum
Been a long time relatabelle. Love your podcast, thank you for encouraging us in Christ! Feel better soon.
To pre destination. Amen sister. Accepting this is truly humbling. God is just and good! Thank you Allie.
CH Spurgeon has a lot of quotes regarding shame over sin and I think y'all are spot on. If you don't have some shame, you don't have motivation to change and to not do that sin again
Bromelain!! Pineapple!!
Praying you are well very soon!♥
And I totally agree with you on the "He Gets Us" campaign. We weren't misunderstood. God was. Jesus came to reveal the Father to us and pay our way back to Him.
Respect your decision not to comment on LWC v DW- it’s a hot mess that every other person has addressed.
Proverbs 26:17 KJVS
He that passeth by, and meddleth with strife belonging not to him, is like one that taketh a dog by the ears.
Allie, this happens when you have little ones at home. It’s like our immune system gets a retraining. ❤️That’s the way I see it, at least!
So grateful for your channel, Allie. Soli Deo Gloria!
You ahould watch Knight Watch's video on the term sheet. He goes through it line by line and it was very illuminating.
Yeah you should do some research. Jeremy Boreing and Crowder weren’t friends given the crap offer they sent over to Steven. All that happened was Steven realized just how grimy conservative media was, and exposed it.
@@KnappyG Rekeita Law did a great job as well.

I absolutely am with you about modern medicine! Having a child with severe issues from drug exposure, medicine is the only thing that has helped her. It makes me so sad that she needs it but I am thankful for it!!
I very much appreciate your answer about the death penalty. Thank you.
Do more of these! Absolutely loved it!
It seem that loss of shame has been a big part of our cultural demise. It's not pleasant, but society needs to have shame for sin.
I’m only at the beginning of this episode but totally the same about the sickness! Our family rarely gets/got sick but we’ve been sick a lot in the last few months ! Colds, flu, stomach bug, pink eye, weird rashes .. all of it!

Thank you for not commenting on Crowder v. Shapiro. Real wisdom there,
Love your channel & love Steven Crowders channel ❤️
Always an informative and helpful podcast. Thank you for sharing your talents with us.
Very good point on capital punishment. Jesus died for forgiveness of sin but He did not say there would no consequences.

Where do you see that God wants all to be saved?
@@slash903 2nd Peter 3:9 says He is willing that none should perish. For one. 🙂 God doesn’t choose hell for people.
Blessed Beloved Highly Favored. This too shall pass. Our FATHER counts ALL of the sand in his Time. I Cor. 1-2.
The " mystery" of John 3-16 dissolves when you properly apply the term "predestination" as used in scripture.
Im also sick and am grateful for technology, i hope u recover soon ❤
Natasha Crain would be a good guest to discuss the He Gets Us campaign. She has done work on that.
Predestination explained -
God doesn't pick or choose who gets saved. We have complete few will to choose.
His foreknowledge allows him to know who ultimately will believe. So with that knowledge, He chooses us and paves the way to our destiny.

I feel the same about the “he gets us” campaign. I don’t think it’s leading to biblical truth, which is where people need to be led
Crowder was right
Yeah, sure Crowder is right if you believe it is okay to secretly record your "friend" during a private conversation that he initiated and expose that conversation on the internet. You definitely have a warped sense of what is right???
The Chosen is doing the same thing, wanting to make Jesus relateable ...not the Jesus of the Bible. Th!nks, Allie, feel better soon.
That part about plumbing, love it! Antibiotics, love it! Sounded like Dylan Mulvaney. Lol
Lol, I literally thought the same thing haha
Shame before repentance not after.
Jesus bore ‘our shame’ Isaiah 53:4
Bore it =paid the price for it
Feel better soon. Allie!!!🤗🙏
There needs to be more stigma and shame surrounding sin.
(13:09) Idolatry-superimposing our own flawed characteristics on a representation of divinity
(20:19) If we were flawless there would be no need for shame, but we aren't.
Shame keeps people from acting in unacceptable ways. Society was much better when there was definite moral rules.
I’ve gotten the ick about the he gets us campaign too. I feel like they somewhat twist Jesus’s good works and the human aspect of him.
Allie, have you ever considered inviting Joe Rogan on your show? That could be an amazing conversation.
You are in a season where your small children are building their immune system. God is giving you and your husband a booster to your immune system so that you will not get really sick when you are older.
Raw onions for your cough! Yes, I'm crunchy, but my methods WORK! 😄
No one "crunchy" is against hot running water, and that's certainly not something to equate with modern medicine!
Not all killing is murder, but all murder is killing of the innocent.
For the predestination issue:
I believe I predestination but I think under Calvinism it’s not rightly defined.
Ephesians 1:4 “in Him we are predestined to be holy and blameless”
The Romans passage - notice it says “those who love Him”
If you indeed are in Christ, yes you have a choice and faith is not a work. Those who are in Him are predestined to be glorified. That simple! And lovely!
The atonement is not limited! And salvation is conditional upon belief in Jesus! How wonderful! Simple and lovely!
Notice the “freewill offering” in the OT :)
I’m always plugging Soteriology 101 as they have brought me out of such a dark place!
If you chose it’s a work:)
If God opens yurt eyes to His truth and then you chose it’s a gift; all of God. The author and finisher of our salvation.
Dead in sin and trespass means unable to save yourself. It does not say sick it’s dead.
@@dfischer5878 “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
Ephesians 2:8-9
Why would Paul constraint faith and works if they’re the same? Grace comes through faith - not works
@@dfischer5878 also! Is the meaning of dead often used in the Bible “incapacitated” or is it usually “cut off”?
@@lauren8407 agreed grace comes through faith, it is a gift:)
A gift God chose to give. I do not accept til He removes the dead heart and replaces it with one of flesh.
And dead used in that verse means dead in the Greek . We are spiritually dead unable to save ourselves.
@@dfischer5878 a gift effectually applied? Or offered?
Amen.
@@addjoaprekobaah5914 I disagree with this theology. Are you yourself chosen????
@i.m. watching yes, because I've trusted in Jesus alone as my saviour. The free will to choose him was given to me by him for mine was dead.
@Addjoa preko baah So why are not ALL worthy of that? Why are you so confident you are chosen? Are there some that THINK they are but not really???? This is a dangerous doctrine and I am finished debating. By the way, I was pretty certain you would say you were.
My issue with the death penalty is the possibility of inflicting it on an innocent person.
gospel wise of he gets us yes followers are fishers of mankind but not all are going to a. follow and b. agree with the rest of the flock... as someone who has not seen these commercials because i dont watch tv and havent watched since 2007 , I cant say details about the commercials but im formerly christian ... when i was christian i would have taken the brother and sister of christ view over the distance of deity christ... and i know you probably caught at the formerly christian part but i cant now i lost my mind and it was shaky before but now i just cant right now... i may be able to in the future the meds are helping :)
Regarding shame, can one be shamed for being disabled or handicapped?
One can, but one shouldn't. Shame only applies to things that are our fault.
Predestination is meant for us all, but we are the ones who can negate it. I can't believe God would create people to perish. I'm well-read in scripture.
Romans 9:17-18
If predestination is meant for all of us than God’s plan of redemption has failed since not all are saved.

This comment section sucks. Love you Allie, always love when you post :)
you need to stand with crowder
what predestination gets wrong is the foreknowledge....God foreknew who would get saved before time began but that doesn't mean He chooses who gets saved and who doesn't...that also leaves out our free will
Scripture is clear He has foreknowledge , yes but equally clear his plan of redemption works through means.
I’ve seen the commercials you’ve referred to about Jesus, and I dislike them intensely. I don’t think they will lead anyone to the One True God.
Think Allie, either God chose just some or he wants all to come, you cant have both
Choice of crunchy or plain I like the choices# indoor toilets
Blessings.
Bummer, I feel like this was clickbait. I was super interested what you’d been hearing on the inside, I don’t get all of it
He gets us is from the united methodist church need I say more
Allie, I love you as a sister in Christ, but I so disagree that the verses you used “prove” predestination.
Never.
Roman’s 9:11-13
John 1:13
Romans 9:10-24
We are all sinners it’s very clear God does not save every one, we agree on this.
@@dfischer5878 John 3:16
You responded to His call.
Adam and Eve were without sin ( only humans in history) they disobeyed by choice:)
We however inherit that sin nature and our choices are tainted by that sin.
We are not Adam and Eve , they had no inherit sin
