I was 14 when this came out. Just getting into rock really. watched a lot of Fuse tv. This song came on and changed my life. It was the first major example that a song could be brutal and still melodic and beautiful at the same time.
Same dude. I think I heard dwell within by these guys in early high-school 2009ish. What a great time for this genre and bands like this to flourish with a generation. I think every school had kids that knew who ATR and Despised Icon Winds of Plague were. We really are getting old
Seriously can't believe this has only 32,337 views. Starts out with some solid heavy riffs, then a beautiful bridge leading into an EPIC guitar solo, finishing with an emotional and amazing sounding chorus. What an awesome progression. This is right up there with the likes of my last serenade, lip gloss and black, unholy confessions, american love, and all those other hall-of-fame worthy metalcore songs of the early 2000's that have ten times as many views.
Lola KarNage I was 11 when this song came out and I cried my mom walked in was like why are you crying I was like this song she said this song I said yeah it's just a bunch of yelling I was like you don't understand what he is talking about and if you did you cry to mom now some years later I still feel the trickle of tears running down my face I sent her the lyrics and now she gets it
I love how it's hardcore then it goes all soft and and sweetly depressing instrumentals and back to hard core, but with sweet lyrics, for all the non metal heads.
It's weird. Michael Bartlett played drums for this on the album, but Shannon is in the video. Also, in This Calling, Shannon recorded drums but Jason Costa appears in the video.
I get how hes feelin in this song The same thing just happened to me, I wore my heart on my sleeve for this chick I did everything for her But it got shot to shit, nd i got walked out on....
I started with Behind Silence and Solitude listening to these guys. I like every album for what it is, this album was probably my least favorite but I'm more of an old school metalhead. That does NOT mean I don't like this album, it's still phenomenal, just my least favorite ATR album
Did I just see MTV2?? I so miss the OLD MTV. I wish they would bring back HeadBangers Ball back on MTV 2 Television. Eliminate alot of these crappy reality tv shows. Phil Labonte is such a great vocalist. He can scream his ASS OFF. ATR's is a great metal band.
Is it just me or did it feel like they ran out of budget towards the end or something hahaha the whole music video was pretty generic, and it's so terribly compressed as well, just the cherry on the shit sunday that is this music video. The music is good though.
Rest In Peace Oli Herbert 2018 🇵🇷❤
RIP Oli
RIP Oli! One of my favorites, a true shredder and an amazingly humble person

I love how it's hardcore then it goes all soft and and sweetly depressing instrumentals and back to hard core, but with sweet lyrics, for all the non metal heads.
