- If you were only unlocking the hidden chamber when you were able to find the two buttons while playing, I am here to change that forever-- now you can get them every time you play (with some exceptions).
Memorizing all of this is a bit tedious but if you play often and especially with friends, I think you will find that getting the bands quickly and consistently will make any Monsoon run much smoother in the earlier part of the run.

you can also use engineers turrets to hold a button down
You forgot the strategy of angrily trying to push a pot up a hill for 45 straight minutes before it blows up and you rage quit

That's the exact reason I made this! I was looking at the wiki and thought there has to be a better way to convey this. Glad to have helped!
tip: get artifact of command, choose the scanner equipment from an equipment chest, and look for question marks. *newt altars and lunar pods will also show up as question marks
You could also use the blackhole to drag around nearby pots; though it gets tedious and you end up either relying in rng or command artifact
Enemies are great pots too!

Effigy of Grief can also activate this button. Useful to use on Artificer, as she has 0 chance to push both buttons solo, but benefit greatly form bands.

First vid! What do you typically do when you get Abandoned Aqueduct in a run? Do you search for the buttons? Only take them when they show up while playing? Ignore them most of the time? Let me know!

@@nattodog Yeah thank you. I just got into the game cause my friends wanted me to play with them. They said the bands were really good and i tried to get it with them, but we couldn't get the right map, so they got off after a while.

Tons of people have already said it, but damn, why the wiki can't just put this video on there (or something similar) is beyond me. The pictures saying "behind this rock by the aqueduct" were not helpful at all. I spent like 20 minutes trying to use the pictures, but in just a few minutes with this video I managed to find both pressure plates easily.
I made it after going to the wiki and losing my mind.. so I’m glad it helped!

Or, by far the most stressful solo option.
Playing Huntress and trying to yeet the pots into place with your dash, and nudging them almost always slightly uphill, failing to do so for 2 to 5 minutes straight before the pot finally stays on it
That sounds pretty involved.

I looked up every guide including this one and looked in every spot multiple times and finally I literally walked every inch of the map (took like 45+ minutes) and the stage must have bugged because there was only one button.

Hey so I don't know if I'm stupid or blind but I checked all 8 spaces and not one of the buttons spawned am I supposed to unlock something first?
You’re not the first person to comment that. I’ve personally never had a run where both buttons haven’t spawned but I also haven’t played at all since the DLC so maybe something has changed?

So I redid it and did it without the DLC I don't know if that did anything but I made it so when I went through the newt altar I don't have to keep on restarting to get abandoned aqueduct also if you do go through the newt altar pick up the Effigy of Grief cause you can put them on the pressure plate and you can just run over to the next one thank you for the video.

I play commando exclusively, what is the best way of moving pots uphill and having them not explode?
I don’t have a good answer for that but I’m sorry. Probably shouldn’t go for it as commando he kinda needs to go fast solo

Very hard! I don't think it's worth the effort but you're right it is an option.
It's awesome when a random bettle explodes it after you push around the single pot on the Half of the map for a while

@@paulplaysgames6740 yeah, no joke, i spent 15 minute pushing a pot yo get those (i taught there's an achievement/unlock with that too) and then proceeded to get clapped instantly on stage 3 at 30ish minutes with 15 items lol

Ok but what do they do?
The pressure plates open a large, circular door at the edge of the map that goes to two boss mobs that drop the items in the thumbnail. Door is also in thumbnail. Sorry when I made this video I thought it would only be something people intentionally looked up! But it’s gotten a lot of traction lol
What if only one pot spawns
Never seen that myself but a few others here have mentioned it. I assume it’s a bug
