I had almost signed up for better health due to another youtuber’s recommendation, but when I did some research it became very clear that they are not good at all. A lot of complaints and just seems shady in general. I can see how they are all over UA-cam due to their advertising but I think people are better off saving up and finding actual certified therapists instead. I trust your motives were good, just wanted to share my thoughts. :)
I just moved to a new city that has nearly no vegan options, left all my friends, bought my first home that has more issues than we thought, and started a new job. This video was much needed
What you said while having a tea feels so so relatable. I really find it hard these days to be mindful during the day and not only when I plan it (during a meditation for example). Thank you so much for this gentle reminder. I definitely needed it!
I'm so happy to see the people who inspire me prioritizing themselves and their self-care. I hope you get through whatever battles you're facing right now and I hope you remember that you are not alone in your mental health struggles. Thank you for such a lovely video today :)
I am here to encourage you to abandon your wedding planning if that is truly calling to you! My husband and I got married in April 2020 at the height of lockdown. We had a wedding and honeymoon planned, but when we realized that we had no idea when the pandemic would actually end, we had a conversation and decided to get married that very next day. It was just the two of us getting married by a notary in her backyard on the beach. Afterwards, we ate creole food in his truck bed and went for a sunset walk on the beach before heading home. Atypical, yes, but I wouldn't change a single thing. Your wedding belongs to you and Dylan and NO ONE else. Make it a positive experience and do what speaks to you!
I really enjoy your videos. They are very calming and the food looks so good! And I agree, we need to all practice slowing down and being in the moment. I’ve been vegan for a long time, and I love watching your videos for new meal inspiration. Especially for simple meals.
Just got married on March 5 of this year. We went SUPER simple for the ceremony (only about 10 people, in the park, no decorations) and had a SUPER fun pajama jam themed backyard bonfire for the reception with fewer than 40 people in attendance. It was the most magical thing I could have imagined. Everyone was relaxed, enjoying the evening, food was simple but delicious (spiral sammiches, deconstructed charcuterie, no booze, epic cake, candy bar) and best of all, the hubbs and I were relaxed and got to enjoy everything stress free. HIGHLY recommend!
I love this!! I have a chronic illness and I cant stand up by the stove for more than 3-5 minutes on a bad day without it actually making me worse, so easy vegan meals is a god send!
Got married 8 years ago in a chapel, we did the simplest wedding possible, not even a reception, got my dress on ebay, made the invitations and flower arrangements to decorate the chapel, got a cake and refreshments for afterwards and had a great honeymoon. We where super happy and still are with our choice :) today we've been 12 years together going on 13.
Thank you for being so real in this video. It takes courage to admit that you don't have everything figured out yet. It's the same for me and I'm starting to be okay with it. But I've just been reminded that it's important to have friends who understand imperfection too, and don't try to push us to improve all the time, when all we actually need is support and acceptance.
I really resonate with the need to practice being more mindful. These past few weeks have been challenging itself in my life as well. Love being able to not feel alone with these struggles during this time as well.
Thank you for sharing honestly about how stressful and overwhelming it is planning a wedding. I recently got engaged and feel so overwhelmed at the costs and the amount of work ahead of me! Glad to hear I'm not alone ❤️
My wedding advice is keep it simple. My husband and I have been married for 36 years this summer. We threw together our wedding a month in advance, after we moved to a new town, found a place to rent and started new jobs. We had a hayride out to a ramada, had the ceremony, ate catered food, danced to a hired musician's music, went back to our place and opened gifts. The hayride company acted as the wedding planner and made all the arrangements for food, drinks, the musician. A friend took pix, my mom was the preacher who officiated. It was casual and fun. We've never regretted that it wasn't more formal or expensively done. Our closest friends lived about two hours away which is where we had moved from so most went home and didn't need to have a place to spend the night... Hope you can keep the stress to a minimum and ask for help from friends and family, including Dylan when you need it. People are often eager and pleased to be asked because they don't know what would be helpful to us, even though we may think it's obvious. Type A's like to be in control and have a hard time asking for help and delegating tasks. If you can do that, it'll help take away some stress. Fortunately, you have a very enjoyable sense of humor which you can turn to also. Best wishes. I know you're wedding day will be fun and memorable!
I love your videos; they're always so calm, cozy and inspiring ❤ Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings (it's great that you set boundaries, too)! I go to therapy as well and it honestly saved my life countless times. Wishing you all the best, Caitlin ❤
I find little doses of mindfulness through the day very helpful. It's taken years to realize that and start practicing it more regularly. Change is a journey.
One of the best videos you have made in a long while! Thank you for sharing! Planning a wedding is stressful and so much work so many decisions! Lol but it is worth it. I loved what you said about tears being a release of stress. I honestly have cried souch lately and was beaten myself up for it. Crying is not a weakness it does bring freedom. Blessing to you.
I'm sad to hear that you are going through tough times and I feel the same but it really helps knowing that I'm not alone and I know things will get better for all of us❤❤😘
Tips on latte art: tip the mug your espresso is in when pouring in the steamed milk, and tap the pitcher of milk a few times on the counter to pop big bubbles before pouring. Also this is too much foam for a latte, this is more of cappuccino foamyness! Love the video!
Try tilting your cup when you pour your latte, you'll get a better pour overall and you want to keep most of the crema intact, that's where all the flavour is, latte art in the middle 🎨 ☕️
Caitlin, nobody has it figured out. Nobody. Occasionally, we may find ourselves in the flow and everything goes smoothly. It never lasts. The water in the river never passes the same place twice. Enlightenment is not a destination it’s a journey. ❤️❤️❤️
I love Wordle lol. I also started doing Worldle. 😂 It's like Wordle, but with the shapes of countries and you have 6 guesses. Each guess tells you how close/far you are from the answer!
I love this relaxing videos so much. Learning to read tarot cards for myself has helped me gain so much insight into my emotions and behaviors. Counseling too.
Haha, your wedding stress is definitely why I eloped. As a wedding photographer I already knew I did not have the right temperament to want or plan a full wedding for myself!
Your videos are so nice !! Always calming me, and the part about why would we rush the whole day, to maybe have the time to be mindful 10min before bed, while we can learn to be mindful throughout the day was mind blowing for me hahaha ! Happy for you that you have the opportunity to take care of your mental health :)) Stay as you are, big kisses from Belgium
Tony Robbins said a few words that helped me reframe my mindset on the problems that I found amassing in my life and creeping up over my head; suffocating me. “The only people without problems are those in cemeteries.” Attributing problems to being a side effect of life, it helped me instead view them as challenges or opportunities, and allowed me to welcome them into my life instead of dreading them. I’m sure it doesn’t mean the same to hear it second hand, so I guess it could be distilled into the idea that you’re probably going to become more successful in your years to come, which will bring more responsibilities (read as problems), and more of whatever feelings you allow yourself to attach to them. It would be pretty awesome if the more “problems” you had, meant even more of a positive association with them and it improved your life. Either way you are going to suffer, might as well be better for it in the end. (I notice I am using pronouns like “you” and “your”, making it sound like I’m trying to force a certain perspective onto you. In actuality, your video allowed me to travel back to that period of strife in my own life, and I’m narrating my observation of my own past through the lens of your life. I don’t mean to suggest that I know what is best for your life, rather, that I relate to the onus you described for yourself.) And having said all of that, the proper thing to do would’ve been to just thumbs up the video and keep it moving, but I’ve already written this out and it’s the most meaningful thing I’ve authored all week (which is tragic in its own right), so it’s less painful for me, at this point, to just post it and risk you hating it.
OH MY GOSH! it is so nice to hear someone else say that abt wedding planning too. I have felt that so much … if I knew how much it was I feel like my fiancé and I would have just eloped 😅.
I have the same machine and I love it. I used to buy my drinks almost every day and now I only like making them at home. Your aunt made an excellent choice!
Simetimes we are hard on ourselves. For me its because I do it all, and having a business, as we have, sometimes its difficult not to be. But I'm starting to enjoy more of the process to ❤
Somehow I was tearing up because I feel so emotional and angry the last couple of weeks, thank you Caitlin for your content! I love the new style more of a follow me around for a day and I feel like you’re my friend!
I would love for you to share your proposed wedding food menu!!!!!! I am also getting married and had so much fun "challenging" my caterer to provide mostly vegan options. I think it will be a first for them! We are topping the baked eggplant dish with cheese which slightly makes me cringe.. Should you be selfish so you can taste/enjoy everything & stand for your vegan lifestyle or selfless because the food is really for your guests? Would love for you to give tips on finding a vegan friendly caterer :)
I like the relaxed/relaxing conversational format of your videos. As a side note, if you want to learn a milk steaming technique from a latte art champion, you may wish to check out a video by Lance Hedrick on UA-cam.
@ Caitlin Shoemaker, just wanted you to know, that I tell myself, "I have the power", it has helped me so much. Thank you, so very much. I'm also thinking about doing journaling. I have the power!
Is that the cascatelli pasta shape? I've never had luck with any brand that has that/or similar shape. The ridges always fall off even if I undercook! So sad because it's such a fun pasta. :(
this video being exactly 15 mins makes me so happy

“I have the power to do something about it” something about that just made it click within me. I love watching your journey ❤️
I just moved to a new city that has nearly no vegan options, left all my friends, bought my first home that has more issues than we thought, and started a new job. This video was much needed
I feel this comment sooo much!!!! T.T

Loved this video! What you said about mindfulness and productivity really hit home for me ❤️
Loved this video. I've struggled with anxiety and depression for years and I totally agree that therapy is life changing! Sending you good vibes 💜

I think you’re THE most relaxing person to watch on my feed 💗 and with amazing content to boot.

Thank you for this genuine talk. ❤ Feels good to not be alone. Also: Know that you are not alone either, Caitlin! 😘🍀
Thank you ❤️
I’ve been following you since you were studying and I love the new “type of content” you are sharing, more relaxing and real. Hugs from Italy xx

I don’t know if this makes your feel any better but my favorite videos are the ones where they are just simple daily things and nothing to crazy 💕
I really resonate with the need to practice being more mindful. These past few weeks have been challenging itself in my life as well. Love being able to not feel alone with these struggles during this time as well.

Gosh the aura of every video you make is therapy alone. Sending you love and calm vibes from the East coast

i feel like ive grown with you i cant believe how adult you are ! its also been really fun seeing your videos get artsier and prettier
I find little doses of mindfulness through the day very helpful. It's taken years to realize that and start practicing it more regularly. Change is a journey.
Quinoa and rice blends for pasta are perfect. I recommend. Chick pea pasta has a lot of issues with staying together.
Thank you for being authentic! I can relate with you!
loved this! i'm in a phase of my life where i'm go-go-go without much rest and this was the reminder i needed to take a moment for self care 💕
Really enjoyed the tea talk! I can definitely relate. Thanks for sharing :)
I love that even with another chilled out video, you keep it real and show us what life is actually like.
Please share where you get your mugs!
I'm sad to hear that you are going through tough times and I feel the same but it really helps knowing that I'm not alone and I know things will get better for all of us❤❤😘

You’re such a comfort youtuber for me. I always feel so relaxed & happy during & after watching your videos. Thank u 💕

What tea /bloom is that?
Great video, I love your channel.
I’m so proud of you for taking care of you ❤
you have to be so brave in order to be emotionally honest. especially in the prescense of strangers on the internet.
Thanx for the talk. 🥰
Do u still like your caraway pots?? I've been considering purchasing them... Would love your feedback!

Thank you for this genuine talk
Thank you so much for sharing Caitlin 💞 I always love how real you are- and I think social media needs that.
I love your videos. Honestly almost cried at the end. A lot of what you said resonated with me.
Sending you love ❤️
I relate so much to everything you said in this video. Thanks for sharing and making me not feel alone!
Thanks Caitlin for sharing your personal journey ❤
Many thanks indeed.
Caitlin, nobody has it figured out. Nobody. Occasionally, we may find ourselves in the flow and everything goes smoothly. It never lasts. The water in the river never passes the same place twice. Enlightenment is not a destination it’s a journey. ❤️❤️❤️
I think I really needed to hear this today -- thank you!
A good cry it's definitely therapeutic for me! I hope you'll be able to resolve these overwhelming situations 💚
There’s also Worldle, Quordle, and Absurdle. Worldle has been helping me learn geography more.
What brand and model is your coffee express machine? Any updated comments on its use? Thanks.
Perfect time for me to watch this. Thank you.
I love Wordle lol. I also started doing Worldle. 😂 It's like Wordle, but with the shapes of countries and you have 6 guesses. Each guess tells you how close/far you are from the answer!
Oooh that’s a fun variation!
I love this relaxing videos so much. Learning to read tarot cards for myself has helped me gain so much insight into my emotions and behaviors. Counseling too.
LET ME TELL YOU. I SCREAMED when you mentioned the miracle of mindfulness. I'm currently trying to sober up and mindfulness has been my best weapon
Your videos always come in at the right time
that round chair by the window looks so comfy
it's my favorite spot!
I love your videos Caitlin! I am no longer vegan but stayed for your recipes and for you 🌷
Thank you so much!
Having a morning and night routine is so crucial for good mental health and good self care.
I also enjoyed the ending a lot. ❤ Made me emotional.
Didn’t better help have some scandals?? I don’t trust them lol
thank you for this
I love the song at the end. What other songs do you listen to Caitlin?
I've found silk soy milk is the best milk out there for frothing. Everyone says oat is where it's at, but I've always had the best luck with soy.
This video is a piece of art and really inspired me🤍🌸
Haha, your wedding stress is definitely why I eloped. As a wedding photographer I already knew I did not have the right temperament to want or plan a full wedding for myself!
Budgeting a wedding is no joke, I know my Mother just postponed her wedding until next year for budgeting issues.

Stay as you are, big kisses from Belgium
Right?! Totally agree with you on that - it's something I'm trying to work on, for sure!
I like quordle !! it's 4 wordle grids at once hehe
The tea coraff is fancy. Is it something special?
It's a "simple brew" from rishi tea - they sell them on their website! A french press would work as well :)

Love wordle!!! My coworker introduced me to Canuckle which is the Canadian wordle and just as fun!!!
Haha how fun! Love how many variations there are
Awesome video! What music did you have at the end of this?
OH MY GOSH! it is so nice to hear someone else say that abt wedding planning too. I have felt that so much … if I knew how much it was I feel like my fiancé and I would have just eloped 😅.
nice recipes, quick and easy
💕😊
I got married once, we went to the courthouse and paid 15 dollars, stress free. Congrats!
I have the same machine and I love it. I used to buy my drinks almost every day and now I only like making them at home. Your aunt made an excellent choice!
Thank you! I'm excited to become a pro at latte art hehe
What brand is it?
Im not vegan, but I love this channel
Just wholesome
aw thanks! All eaters are welcome here and I'm glad you enjoy my videos :)
That quote at the end❤
You should try The Greener Wordle. I've enjoyed it so far as another Wordle alternative 😊
Your skin looks extra fab in this video! ❤️
Simetimes we are hard on ourselves. For me its because I do it all, and having a business, as we have, sometimes its difficult not to be. But I'm starting to enjoy more of the process to ❤

Thanks for sticking around :) I'm sending you a virtual hug!
Yes, you said it correctly! "Dillan and me"... :) Hope you're feeling better soon.
Thank you ❤️

Dodge was the word that broke my weeks long streak 😡😡😡
I like to start with "adieu" 😄
What song did you play at the end of the video? I loved it
I love wordle! I got mine on 3 the day of dodge also 🙃 just did mine today and got 3 again 😉
Looks so delicious!!👍
I like the relaxed/relaxing conversational format of your videos. As a side note, if you want to learn a milk steaming technique from a latte art champion, you may wish to check out a video by Lance Hedrick on UA-cam.
My goodness, never realised that I had the power. My eyes opened so big when you said that.
sending you a virtual hug
@ Caitlin Shoemaker, just wanted you to know, that I tell myself, "I have the power", it has helped me so much.
Thank you, so very much. I'm also thinking about doing journaling. I have the power!

What is the song that you play at the end?
Really nice recipes 👍
