Oh wow I really like this...everything from the vocal to the visual...it did change up with the chorus & wasn't as dirty but still a great performance!
I happen to like the band a lot you should check out Lift Me Up with Rob Halford with Five Finger Death Punch Jekyll and Hyde they have a lot of real heavy hard-hitting songs
there are haters with any group but as a Veteran I will always stand up for 5FDP, all they have done for Veterans and awareness they have fought to bring about, not to mention them fighting their own demons and putting it out in the open, so few artists have a message nowadays who deserve hate more so than 5FDP, they may not be what some consider metal but cant deny their talent. Much love 5FDP! enjoy retirement and family time after this next album guys!
I've been lucky enough to have shot photos of a couple of their shows (I'm a photographer with a radio station). I'm not a huge fan but they put on a good show that makes it fun to do photos of.
This is an awesome band with a lot of great music! They are avid supporters of our military and veterans. Would love to see them in concert. Please react to more of their music. 😊👍
This band has evolved Like all of evolve. So many metal "fans" have become metal elitists. 5 finger is good old fashioned, no frills rock n roll. They talk about subject matters that endear them to their fanbase. If you get a chance check out the song My Nemesis. Give Got Your Six a check out. I'm a lifetime fan of the band because of the work they tirelessly do with my community, the veteran community. Because of that I will NEVER utter a bad word about these guys.
Well T you changed my mind about these guys I seen him do a cover one time and just kind of blew him off but I really did this pretty badass keep doing a good work brother
I’m not a fan of the bands music but they’ll always have my respect for the way they treat and acknowledge the military and first responders at their shows.
An honest reaction and not just a fluff one to get likes. I can appreciate your honesty. I love the song though. And yes its def a crossover made, radio friendly, money making track. but i love it. 🙂
I like FFDP. I know that most of your hardcore metal subs don’t like these guys and that’s fine. I guess I like them for the same reasons that you weren’t sure you liked them. They always give back to the military so there’s that too. Enjoyed your reaction T. ✌️
As you know T, I am an avid supporter of Nu Metal, which most would consider this to be. I enjoy anything from Roger Miller, to Guttural Slug, I like anything that is musically interesting and does a good job of invoking emotion. However, I agree with your take nearly completely. They needed to choose whether this was going to be a sad or intense song, but they didn't and threw it off. The only part of your take I disagree with is really, by the end, I was just disappointed the lyrics and good riff were wasted. 5.7/10.
@@philobeddoe8342 literally quite exactly the same for me lol! That movie was my favorite as a child. Then as a young man I returned to the movie for the first time in many years... viewing it through eyes that had experienced a lot more life, it ended up starting me in a downward spiral... at least in regard to my mental well being... on a nicer note, his work on Robin Hood also turned me onto how good old country stuff actually is. From there I ended up discovering some other old country artists I now love.
I love this band. If you liked this song then check out Avenged Sevenfold This Means War. They used a Metallica riff from the song The God That Failed. It's cool that you have a refined taste in music now.
I’ve always liked FFDP and don’t really care about others who don’t like them. There’s bands that I don’t like that others love. Personal preference shouldn’t be argued.🍻🤘
Dude... Sounds like some of your subs may have jaded your perceptions. Yes, 5FDP have made some metal more accessible. And it does make it 'easier' for a more casual listener to dip their toe into the waters.... Nothing wrong with making metal more palatable and grow the fanbase. I think the pool is big enough for everyone! Your tastes run toward the 'darker' sounds and themes but metal can be uplifting too. THE LIGHT by Disturbed is a great example. Making metal more 'commercial' isn't selling out. Unless you're talking about seats! Just ask Metallica. The 'Black Album' won them all kinds of negative feedback from their fans, but reached a whole new audience and cemented their supremacy of the genre. I can only imagine how difficult it is to ignore some of the 'critics' comments but a "First Reaction" should be untainted. Everyone has their own tastes and opinions, just try to keep an open mind.
A lot of their music does have a nice groove to it, but the more you listen the more it sounds the same. Not bad, just the same. There's talent for sure, but I feel like they play it safe these days.
Personally I like a majority of five finger death punches music however there are a lot of people that don't like them kind of like people don't like Avenged Sevenfold mainly because they take a stand on things that are deemed not popular and they go the other way and they don't really care for instance Five Finger Death Punch is pro police and pro-military there's a lot of people that claim to be metalheads that don't like that because it's against what they vote and I honestly believe that's the biggest problem.
@@philobeddoe8342 well ok that makes sense if groove metal isn’t ur thing that’s gonna hit ur ear but but please tell me slipknot sad far as mainstream hits ur ear cuz not all they’re music is nu metal I mean a lot is but not all of it but I respect ur opinion
They became more and more commercialized with each album. Their current stuff is light for metal heads and heavy for rock fans. In general, the older stuff is heavier and less commercial.
So tired of being told what this or that type of music is and this band sucks because they said a word in a way I didn't like so no one else should like that either. Music is personal, if you like it, like it and screw everyone else!
Not a huge fan of FFDP, but they are a solid band. It’s a band I won’t turn off, but don’t go out of my way to listen to. They are a gateway band for Metal which is always a good thing. This was a solid song as most of theirs are
Im a death punch fan.. "its mainstream metal" but its still metal and i still love it... i dont like much of the underground stuff i like the heavy riffs and stuff in the music, but to me barking isnt singing... just me tho!
Yeah man! 63 years old and I'm here to say these guys kick man !
The Pride, I Apologize, Jekyll and Hyde, Bad Company, the list could go on!! They rock!
Yeah, TBH I watch your reactions for that million dollar smile of yours. I have a thing for smiles...what can I say?
love this band.
They’re pretty awesome.
Where you been...miss you!
@@conniekat3424 work and adulting. lol
This is more my cup of tea as I prefer a mixture of darker and lighter vocals because I find a track with constant rough/screaming vocals too much

The only other heavy metal band that's in the same league as far as the music and support of veterans and first responders is Distrubed.
@@firefighterchick yeah there definitely are many that do so much❤️
My favourite FFDP song of all-time! 😎🔥🤘🎸
ivan moody stands for a lot of things i believe
I like their song black and blue
T one of my favorites. Shinedown went out with them last spring. They are all good friends. 🔥🔥🎃
That’s too cool. Did they tour together?
@@TheAdventuresofTNT yes if they had come around me I would have went.

Killer guitar solo! 😎🔥🤘🎸
love this song ❤ great react 💗
I love their music. Their first album is killer.
F8 is awesome too.
Too many overlooked that first album. It was way heavier than the following albums

Late comment but I have to agree, T. this band sounds good.

Earlier FFDP is much heavier & darker especially The Bleeding! 😎🔥🤘🎸
Living the dream is a great song.
That's what really got me there was they went from the death metal kind of screaming to the chorus and the harmonies are great man

I respect your opinion. Dirty, clean is the best part of metal, when they can pull it off. IMO, they did.
Yup! 🤘🔥🤘🔥🤘
The people who say they don't like these guys are the same ones who say nickelback sucks in public, then listen in private
You should react to their song No One Gets Left Behind. It's harder and the rage in it is palpable.

Gone Away and Wrong Side of Heaven
