She looks so touched and appreciative- how can you not love this woman we all grew up with? That album of "Billie" ...funny little butterflies....
When she tears up I feel for her! What a tremendous actress and she will be truly missed! RIP dear Anna.
Glad I'm not the only one that teared up. ;}
Gah, I love this woman. She's so genuine and humble that it blows my mind. Plus, she was one of the reasons why I went to seek help for my bipolar disorder and other mental illnesses. I can't thank her enough. c:
Love this. I have always loved her and always will love "Patty Duke". :) "
You can see how humble and appreciative she was to the many fans who came out to see her! RIP Patty
+Keith H. she was a class act--warm, caring human being.
+windstorm1000 This really tugs at my heart, I feel like I've lost a long time friend... Rest in peace Patty ( Anna)
+Mike Rubinate I agree. I grew up following her career, her struggles and triumphs and was a huge fan. I was hoping she would be given an opportunity for another great acting role in television or in a theatrical movie, but unfortunately because of her age, the offers were now infrequent. In a letter her son Mackenzie recently posted on twitter, he writes: "The back half of mom’s career offered fewer opportunities to share her considerable acting talent, you see, because Hollywood and maturity very rarely share a mirror. And while this is less a tragedy than a reflection of our narcissism, the near-absence of roles for a woman over forty forced mom onto the road again. But instead of acting, she just spoke. She spoke of her struggles with mental illness." If you are interested, here is a link to his letter in it's entirety:

I loved her.. Seems so real, down to Earth, sense of humor, and a good person.. And then her genuine appreciation of the crowd going crazy combined with that song... call me mush, but I could not keep a dry eye. I always felt she would have been great to play the Hayley Mills role in ''The Trouble With Angels''.. all due respect to Hayley.
Awww! Could she be any cuter?! I teared up when she did! It's so awesome that she got to see how much she means to everyone!! **sparkle Neely** (^3^) xoxo
God bless you Patty and RIP. You are sorely missed.
Patty Duke will always be one of the top gay icons. We loved/love her so much!!!!
we will miss you Patty. a true legend.
I have loved her for as long as I can remember. She is exquisite!
OMG!!!!! This is beyond fabulous. Thank you so much for sharing 😎
I fell in love with Valley of the Dolls when I was a child. I didn't know what dolls were, or Neely was based on Judy. I just fell in love with the music and the drama. Jen killing her self with pills, was one of my bath tub skits I would do. I'm talking under 10 years old here. The bath tub is where I spent the most time in one place. Go go kid here. Thank you for sharing this and making my day! Rest In Peace Patty Duke!
I loved Patty Duke!
Boy I am teary! What a great actress and a "real" person Patty was. She wasn't afraid to fight her demons and won. Miss you Patty.
Whatever they did for her, it was more than well deserved...she was a wonderful human being.
!!Memories!!!
Glad your life is happy and fulfilling. No one knows how many lives you have probably saved because you spoke out!
Thank you Marc. Another wonderful show & we enjoyed being there, as always. A really nice way to spend an evening & to see a favorite of days gone by.
You can't help but to tear up along with Patty during the ovation. She truly seems to be genuinely grateful to her fans and seems like she's in a very good place emotionally and spiritually.
How time goes on with or without you 😢
I love Ms.Patty! God I miss her!
Wished I could have been there
PLEASE POST the whole show!!!
Very sweet. Patty really was sparkling.
A breathtakingly beautiful ball of Dynamite!!!
Nice to see this. Now let's hope she makes some personal appearances when Season One of 'The Patty Duke Show' arrives on DVD at the end of this month. We love Patty!
Wow - a straight fan! Hey, good for you - usually it's gay people who recognize greatness first - at any rate, this was a wonderful tribute to a fine actress and person who most certainly deserves it!
Very touching to see Patty's emotional response to her adoring fans.....would have been fun to be there for the tribute to her! Wish you had more footage to post too....would love to see more of her interview!

Can we talk about how handsome Mackenzie Astin grew up to be?
