It's not "BS". Some people actually do want to do "good". They are wired that way, just like mean, nasty people are wired the way they are. I like a "noble hero" like Superman, or Peter Parker. I honestly feel bad for Ryan, all he’s trying to do is make his Father Proud but it costs him a Living Life as a Accident and yet Homelander sees Human like Water Balloons filled with Blood and Meat, the worst thing is everyone sees this as a Heroic Sacrifice but in reality they don’t see a Father breaking his own Son.
He's not breaking him any more than the army breaks someone training them to kill the enemy, abd expecting them to do it on command. Homelander isn't broken because he's willing to kill criminals, he's broken due to the horrific emotional, physical, and mental abuse Vought subjected him to. Then, when he was a full adult, they ENSLAVED HIM, Stillwell, Edgar and the others only saw him as a dangerously powerful tool/weapon they needed to maintain control over. They never saw him as a Human being. Thus, he was treated inhumanly by all the Humans around him, no wonder he has little love for them, the source of all his suffering and trauma.
It's not just the writers, lets also give credit to the young actor who plays Ryan. He's been killing it this season believably showing his inner conflict of whether he should stay loyal to his Dad or stay pure and decent because of his Mom's influence. His scenes with Butcher were especially good. He made me tear up when he said to Butcher, "I can see why you don't want me. I wouldn't want me either." All those people downplaying the boys' supes, look at this, 0:55, are you happy now? Ryan is literally a teenager. At best, he is a superior supe who will eventually grow to be stronger than soldier boy and homelander. Soldier boy at worst can still replicate this feat, but can captain america? Can black panther? The only time i have seen someone do something remotely close is the comic book black panther shattering a wall behind him as he causally throws a person into it. Besides broken feats against villains like thanos, using the ultimate power of "scaling."
The fact that he feels empathy and distraught at killing innocents (unlike his father who feels none of that) really just goes to show how the shows aiming for Ryan to go down the path of good...so far at least.
No matter what Homelander wants, his ego and narcissim wouldn't allow it. He wants his son to take the spotlight and become like him but he still wants to the all the spotlight.

Hopefully without the baby eating part lol
There will need to be a time jump maybe because Ryan's powers still need a lot of maturing before he can take on his father. Maybe Homelander and his followers win and take over the world in the end and Ryan along with the boys will be part of some resistance that years later will finally be able to kill him?
@@LucDutra92 bro you should be a writer cause thats actually a great idea
@@LucDutra92 I think it's way too late in the series for such a big timeskip
I think Neumann will become pres, Homelander and supes (many from Godolkin) will start a revolt and Homie will kill Neumann, maybe Soldier Boy, Cindy or someone else will weaken Homie and Ryan will do the final blow against his father
Let's not forget this season exists because a bunch of dumbfold supes thought that killing Soldierboy instead of Homelander would be better
Homeboy went crazy in this scene.
The girl saying you saved me lmao
Look at the little Homelander Jr. Gonna cry?
Ryan is not happy about it..
Fun fact : the actor playing the stuntman is actually a stunt coordinator
At least The Deep knows verbal manners when it comes to kids
Homelander is not capable of raising this kid bruh poor ryan
0:13 bruh that entrance could’ve been done so much better
Fun fact: the guy who got killed was Emilio from Breaking Bad.
The way he splatted against the wall like a fly had me dead😭
On the rehersal of this scene, the actor told Ryan to push him harder because he could handle it. He, in fact, could not handle it.
No. He said a little harder than that but Homelander threw it off since he wasn't supposed to be there
Oh really, i didnt catch that lol@@COrraThereal0ne
“Noir’s” and Deep’s reaction made this scene from a horror to comedic lol
1:22 smile homeboy
Deep's swear word slip up got me 😂😂
I hope they don’t make Ryan go down the same path of evil as his father. Unlike Homelander, Ryan has empathy and humanity AND he was raised by someone who loved him unlike homelander, who was raised in a lab and treated like a lab rat. Ryan is a genuinely interesting character, please don’t butcher him 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
"butcher him"
@livingyuujHe is broken, inside. The thing he said to Butcher, "I know why you don't want me. I wouldn't want me either." Man it made the mum inside me cry. To think a 12 year old has to think like this😢😢😢😢
😂😂😂 nice pun😂😂😂
@@KallusGarnet it wasn’t intentional 💀
Ryan has such a sweet soul. I hope he doesn't get corrupted.
How can no one question the scene!? lol Noir and The Deep unable to take on 1 guy with a gun!? And standing passively!? They should’ve known it was all fake
The Deep saying "Noir, what the fu--what the heck are we supposed to do?" has me laughing way too hard
You saved me.. But you traumatised me..
All those people downplaying the boys' supes, look at this, 0:55, are you happy now?
Ryan is literally a teenager. At best, he is a superior supe who will eventually grow to be stronger than soldier boy and homelander. Soldier boy at worst can still replicate this feat, but can captain america? Can black panther?
The only time i have seen someone do something remotely close is the comic book black panther shattering a wall behind him as he causally throws a person into it.
Besides broken feats against villains like thanos, using the ultimate power of "scaling."
Homelander only loves Ryan because he’s literally an extension of himself. Homelander loves himself the most, which in a way is Ryan
"I fell like I'm not getting clear directions for this role." I felt that NEW Black Noir
Ryan you are better than this.
The fact that he feels empathy and distraught at killing innocents (unlike his father who feels none of that) really just goes to show how the shows aiming for Ryan to go down the path of good...so far at least.
Bro thinks he's Butcher
I ink he just wanted to break his arm not smash him aguainst a wall , he probably can't control is power
He didn't have a change
It was an accident
“I can take it”
I knew man was gonna die
No matter what Homelander wants, his ego and narcissim wouldn't allow it. He wants his son to take the spotlight and become like him but he still wants to the all the spotlight.
Still think Homelander is a good father to Ryan 😡 ??!!
He needs to be put down
Acting like ur father hasn't made u kill someone at least once 😂
The best
The one and only.
F***ing Nazis
The guy Ryan threw kinda looks like Emilio from Breaking Bad lol.
It’s the same actor lol
That's the same guy. That's john koyama who is also the boys stunt coordinator
@@larryatibaNO WAY
Homelander not even letting his son have the spotlight damn 😭
“I can take it”
-famous last words before disaster
Can’t wait to see the homelander vs Ryan spin-off
Omni man vs invincible 2.0
Homelander genuinely loves his son.
They’re just hired that guy to play along and instantly got him killed? 😦
For the people confused this was supposed to be an act but homelamder was being homelamder
i wouldnt be surprised if its ryan reynolds behind that mask
If someone told me that Homelander was coming to talk to me or save me I was be terrified for my life, one wrong move and I’ll just get lasered
"Ryan accidentally kills Emilio Koyama"
0:06 Chace has such impeccable comedic timing and delivery😂. I kinda hope The Deep survives the til the end cus he’s the funniest one.
Yeah Ryan’s gonna end up hating his dad
I really think that the actress acting with Ryan in that scene finally got the vacation that he had always Wanted💀💀💀
It’d be cool to see Ryan become a super hero, grow up maybe even have an Omni man fight
Homelander: Kill him, kill him now.
Ryan: I shouldn’t
Homelander: Dew it!
Now that's a wholesome father-son relationship. It left the hostage-taker less than whole.
