From only watching events / your videos on TV , Amazed at the amount of camber and elevation changes. Certainly need to visit and experience it first hand.
One thing they could do at the exit point is add a blinking light that could indicate an emergency vehicle in the way. In the US they have a system to let ambulances push a button and change the traffic lights so they can get through better. A simple RF transmitter on track vehicles would make the flashing signal operate.
I called my insurance company a while ago, fully insured car... A younger dude said "Yes, we will cover any damage as it is a toll road". Something tells me, he reaaallllyyyy doesn't even have a clue what the Nordschleife is :D

It makes no Fun because it is like driving in the Rush Hour. Because today came sooooo much People to the Nordschleife.
Well, that's not too bad, I thought they nerfed it again as they did a couple decades (ish) ago on those two straights. I'll bet Christian Von Koenigsegg still isn't happy about that one. But warnings are good in that section. One of these days I still hope to make it out there from America since it's always been a dream of mine. Till then I'll keep watching you and my beloved Win/Fails.
For what i've understand, Nordschleife is considered as an "Autobahn" in Rheinland law book. That's why you have to keep your right lane if you are slower, and why most of regular insurance doesn't work there (even track-related insurance)
I've only raced Nordschleife in Gran Turismo games. In GT7 it is pretty scary to race but it is fascinating to see it in real life. Real is even scarier looking! This walk around really gives the elevation perspective that you don't see in the games. Thank you.
Most difference between Games and Reality is the Elevation. You dont see it, dont feel it, dont realise it is there. In Realitiy the Elevation is Mind Blowing.
Danke dir, das sind für mich (Fun SIM Racing) sehr wichtige infos, habe mich schon das ein oder andere mal gewundert, wieso manche Autos einfach ausbrechen. :D
Personally I think they should build a warning light/system on the downhill point from Wehrseifen to Breidscheid to let drivers know a vehicle is exiting for that little extra warning
Great explanation and great safety features, the only thing I don't get is , why don't they use flashing yellow lights ? Whenever one of the ambulances enters the track ?
That sign means that if something happens at a speed higher than the stated speed, in this case 90 km/h, you are automatically guilty in court! Simple as that.. ;-)

Indeed! Very relevant in full layout or with RWD cars going to wide after the sharp right hander before T13, ending on the grass and to much power = oversteer = „kissing“ the concrete wall T13 🙈🤪🤣🙈

That concrete wall needs NASCAR Safer barrier
They should narrow the road and put speedbumps no one is slowing down to 50kmh. Its dangerous you drive 50kmh everyone else full speed🥵
