An alternative to tethering is adding foam fill/foam insulation in some of the voids underneath the board. . No need to fill in every nook, just a few and shave off the excess after it cures. Floats like a bobber and no lines to get hung up on.
This is how I store mine, although I don't actually use the double header, I just use 2 roto grips on some extension arms, but it has worked great for me. I have it tethered, but I don't have any strap holding it in place, but it's never come out of the roto grips yet. I think I probably first saw it from Chad as well 😂
