So I went thru the first month of dashing. first 2 weeks I took everything, never turned away an order. the next two weeks. I became much more selective. Rarely take dashes under $5, and if the dash leads me out of zone to an area where there is no chance of getting a dash while returning to my zone, I would avoid. There was no difference in the amount I made for the time put in. I saved some miles on the car, and some gas money. So this formula lead me to getting Top Dasher for December. Yesterday was the first night. I can tell you I got so many more orders. One of the perks in my area for Top Dashers is getting priority on orders when its slower. I know its just one day, but I definitely noticed a difference. That perk alone in my opinion makes it worth it. This perk allows dashing to be sustainable on slower nights of the week, and will allow me maybe to not dash as long on weekends. More feedback to come.
I make $250 a day and I am a top dasher. I work between 8-12 hours a day. My market I have to be top dasher to make that kind of money. Otherwise I can rarely schedule enough time to work and can only make about $100 a day not being top dasher. I have met a lot of people in my area who make good money not being top dasher but I feel like in my experience it’s very hard for me to make money if I am not. Also I do DoorDash full time.
@@valeryaragon5909 .... if ihad a chance to get, 245 in 5 hrs man... wow... ive made 160 was highest day ever and was when I started. if i had a 4cyl, in a real city, and top dasher status, I would be tickled ,be awesome. But I live in way rural area of way Nor Cal, 2.5 hrs north of Sacramento ,driving a 92 Cadillac V8, and have to schedule, which really sucks, one town is 10 mins away, other is 20 minutes away, then 2 about 40 away, one south and one north of me.and those are bigger cities, Chico and Redding. It counld be more shittier. And I question hoursavailable always AM hours where are the good slots? I called and asked never get straight answersfrom them.
Great Top Dasher story: I've been dashing for 8 months. Never been Top Dasher because the app spazzes and I have a shitty phone. So I lose dashes because the app freezes or I have one second to accept. And I don't take alcohol, pizza or red card orders. BTW - I'm on a pedal bike in New York City. In April, I decided Ima be a top mother fuckin' dasher. Business has slowed to a crawl in NYC now that the pandemic is over. Maybe being TD would help. I'm also a movie extra, and I got a lot of work in April. So I'm getting close to the end of the month. I got all the numbers covered except 100 dashes. It's gonna be a photo finish. I get 7 hours on a Saturday night the 30th. I hate working Saturday night. NYC is madness. Restaurants are packed and dashers wait for orders. At 11:04 PM, I complete my 99th dash. I'm gonna make it! Then mysteriously, the phone goes dead. I wait. And I wait. Finally, at 11:54 PM, I get a dash. Yay! I made it! Not so fast. I COMPLETED the piece of shit delivery at 12:07 AM. One robot at support said "you're fucked" (paraphrased). Another said it didn't matter. I'd be good. Bottom line: NO TOP DASHER FOR YOU! I only completed 99 deliveries. They wouldn't make an exception. Fuck DoorDash. I got their Top Dasher right here - between my legs.
I had 29 deliveries at 11pm and never got another dash until after 12. That shit was crazy. I was pissed tf off. I bust my ass for that 30 deliveries and the app played me on the last dash. Smh.
I'm so sorry that happened to you but f sakes I just woke my wife up from laughing so hard the way you ended the comment! Lmfao i totally saw and heard Walter and Jesse from breaking bad
They tripping, they want you to accept all these low paying orders to maintain a chance of getting High paying orders even though many of them are low paying orders. Doordash is getting worse for dashers every 2-3 years. 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
I have 4 years 5k+ lifetime deliveries Only have to have those numbers by midnight the much before the first then you can drive however your want with all of Perks. Those numbers are easy to hit
I’m a new Dasher in an area where schedules are hard to come by unless you’re constantly checking for them. I’m going after Top Dasher so I can have some regularity in the schedules I’m able to work. If I was in a larger market, I don’t think I’d really care about the designation at all. Update: I knocked out over 200 deliveries in my first month and have been a Top Dasher ever since. Haven’t looked back. I enjoy being able to take the Top Dasher perks with me while I travel.
Ok I am in a very small market but I have been a top dasher and now am not. In my opinion, it's better not being a top dasher. They will send you orders over 30 but the mileage is crazy!! Literally had this happen yesterday...7.50 for 9.6 miles...decline. The next order 7.50 for 2.1 miles. So made the same money in less miles. Also keeping them shorter doesn't put me out of zone for orders. That's key too more than top dasher. They send you the same amount if not more crappy orders when you are top dasher. Be selective!!!! You will make more money in less miles!
I totally agree. I sacrificed so much by accepting shitty orders in March going too far to become a top dasher in April. Once I achieved that goal, DD continued to send me shitty low paying orders even in the evening and on weekends. When they finally send me a catering order, the customer tips only $5 to $10. I have never felt so stupid in my life. They fooled me. But it’s okay. This is the first and last month I’m going to be a top dasher. I will be happy to go back to my low acceptance rate and choose only the profitable orders.
I agree with this guy 100 percent when I first started a accepted everything and was making a decent amount but would have to put alot more hours now I only accept 7 and up orders and it’s made all the difference in the world I work less and fewer order to get to whatever goal I have set that day
I was a top dasher now I'm not. Not a big deal but I do miss dash on demand when I want to. I can hit my goals faster and go home. I dont want to wait to be signed onto q shift and take a longer time to achieve my daily goal. As far as pay is still the same people paying.
I’m coming up on 600 delivered and had experience with both. As for me, I live in a suburban, smaller town area. I find that while being a top dasher, my average hourly wage goes up about 15% versus not being a top dasher. Also, the ability to dash now has been greatly helpful. I’ve found that even in gray times there still money to be made
I agree, DoorDash shoots themselves in the foot by not showing tip amount. I live in a city that borders a rural area, and the rural customers LOVE to order DoorDash because they don't want to drive 10 miles to town and 10 miles back. The problem is that NO driver wants to accept those crappy orders based on base pay. The only way they would want to take them is if the tips compensated for the outrageous distance, but since Dasher's can't see that the customer can't incentivize Dashers to deliver to them. I noticed this month that they are trialing a system where they put a little diamond on high dollar orders if you have a high acceptance rate. I think that makes a lot more sense. I haven't seen many of those, but it makes me more likely to accept those orders even if they are farther out.
This is coming from someone who’s been with door trash, I mean door dash for over two years. I’m not a top dasher. I will never be a top dasher. I think people who choose to be top dashers are not very smart. DoorDash is trying to enslave us. They want all the dashes to accept all the orders. They once told me after I rejected so many shitty orders:”when you don’t accept an order, the customer eventually gets their food cold.” My response was like:”I don’t even care if they food freeze. If they don’t tip well, I will not deliver their food.” I was that confrontational with door dash. These jerks are trying to control us and make us accept all the orders so we can make them richer. So to all the ding dongs that accept small ass orders, get ready to trade your car after one or two years cause by then, your car will look like a skeleton. It’s your fault, you destroyed your car for peanuts 🥜. My acceptance rate is below zero and I don’t even care. I’m an independent contractor so I’m going to do what’s best for me. Screw door dash and every platform that try to control me. I’m not your freaking slave mofos.
I just got Top Dasher, and I think it's a crock of 💩. It rewards door dash more than you because it's "incentives" drives you to hustle harder, not smarter. Top dashers should get less $2.50-$4.50 orders, and definitely nothing over 15 minutes away. I've dashed from New York to the coast of North Carolina, and I've never seen an order like this guy says he gets, but I also don't refuse orders as often as this guy. $100-$150/ day is doable, but you have to hustle and have a fuel efficient vehicle. A Top dasher should get $150/day doing half the work, but then door dash is stuck with the less reliable dashers to take on the brunt of the orders, which they won't do. Top dashers should also be in the running for things like a new vehicle, money, free gas for a month, free food, and a helluva lot of other things. Right now, it sucks.
With my more than 11000 dashes experience I can tell that the top-dasher program is rather a way for doordash to make the most active dashers dash low paying orders while rewarding them with high paying orders. It does not make enough difference in my my market.
I don't take anything under 6 dollars as it's not profitable, even if it's only 1 mile trip because youll be waiting for the order most of the time . I'd say top dasher isn't worth it, I can dash anytime for the most part and make 20-25 bucks an hour, it is better being selective I would say.
Top dasher is extremely easy to get also I save $150 on my grocery shopping each month as one of the perks I get 50% off up to Max $30 on 5 deliveries so I just get my groceries delivered potentially saving me time and fuel as well not having to go to the shops
I am a Top Dasher in February, 2022. My market area is SW Kansas City, Overland Park, Lenexa, Leawood, Kansas. Since becoming a TD I have noticed a couple things. 1) I am receiving more hidden tips. About 4 or 5 times a day I will complete a delivery and when finalizing this $8.50 or it will actually payme $11.50! 2) I do get orders faster! But the downside is when I'm dashing and this whole area is slow (grey) I will get any orders quickly but that includes bad orders. 3). I still find myself trying to stay over that 70% acceptance rate. The quality of orders may have improved very slightly but I still get those ridiculous orders ($2.50 for 5 miles. I am going to stay with the TD program through February. But in March I'm going all-out for making money in this area. And if that means a 30% acceptance rate so be it! He
Did I just watch a video of some guy giving his opinion and advice about the Top Dasher Program, when he has never been, and he says he will never be, a Top Dasher? Wow.
Right? I like Pedro but when I heard that I was like "Come on, man." He could at least do top dasher for like a month so he can have the actual experience of it and then he can judge it. You should check out Sin City Deliveries. He did a decent amount of videos going after top dasher and his experience with being a top dasher.
That was me who said it. Actually I have just become a top dasher in the beginning of April and it’s not worth it as I anticipated. Im still getting 99% of low paying orders.
What's crazy is that use to always be an option when I started even though I wasn't top dasher then they started making it where you schedule whenever it is a busier time
Doordash keeps moving the goal posts plus the support guy lied to me. He told me I only needed 4 more dashes this month to become top dasher when in fact I've only done 37/100. The issue is they won't let me do my scheduled dashes. They play dumb and say I'm not doing something right. Bullshit.
The only benefit I've realized from being a top dasher is that I don't have to schedule. And to get that I have to take a lot of crappy no pay orders, Not going to do it anymore, I'll just schedule to whole week and dash when I can. No more driving 12 miles for $2.50 just so I can be top dasher, Nope!!
Smart move. Same here. I destroyed my car in March to become a top dasher by delivering the world worst orders. After I became a top dasher, DD continued to send me 99% of the same trashy orders. So I’m going back to being selective since I was lied to by door trash.
You’re right. Every market is different. In Phoenix where I dash, top dasher isn’t really all that helpful if it’s not summer or fall. Those times of the year business is slower because everyone leaves the city due to the heat. As top dasher, I can expect steady business in those months when everything is slow on the other apps.
Very insightful video! Thank you! I'm working north of Austin, TX. Evening/nightly rates can vary between $17-22 per hour. I get 1-3 double orders each session and that helps too. A lot of fast food that comes with low tips. If you work in the area, consider avoiding iHop, Sonic, and Taco Bell, because they're usually very slow from long lines or short staff.
I met all those requirements and when I called and asked about it when the month was over they said I didn't have enough dashes that month I got to looking I had 160 . Called back they said my rating wasn't good enough it was 4.9 .called back they said I didn't have enough total dashes I had 240 at the end of July they still haven't given it to me and you need it in are market because there's to many dashes to get in the schedule for good days
I got 2 thumbs down for "delivery instructions" yet I do EXACTLY what the customer has written. It's not fair basing our rating off sometimes shitty customers.
I am jealous of a lot of you guys, my market is a small town and a $6 order is a great order for me, you have to take what they give you or you will just sit there, nobody around here tips much
I’m a top dasher and I get far better orders than I did before I got the status and having the option to dash whenever is highly convenient as well before my orders would base from 5-9$ and now they average 12-30$ and order with 5-6 miles to travel each
I'm a top dasher but I'm gonna stop. I've gotten good money before, my rating is perfect across the board. But I'm gonna start intentionally declining orders. Got like 2 or 3 orders today for like $4 or $5 that had me spend like 20mins for that dash. It's humiliating since I'm busting my ass taking low orders for garbage perks.
My acceptance rate doesn’t go above 40% it’s usually around 27% 😂 doordash doesn’t care about dashers so I’m not going to allow them to shit on me more 🤷🏽♂️ i just take orders that make the most sense I’ve seen some that were like 5$ for 17 miles 🤦🏽♂️
If it's less than $5 I decline, if it's $5 and only around a mile away, I'll take it sometimes if the order is right after a drop off. However, I usually only accept orders that are $7-$8+ and I want $1.50 per mile. Those are my personal rules and I make around $25/hr in my area. My acceptance rating is sitting at 41% right now. I refuse to make $10 an hour for some guy who ordered a coke from McDonald's, sorry DoorDash not going to do it. My time and gas are worth more than that.
Cliffs Notes: nobody needs to strive for Top Dasher status The biggest downside of NOT being a Top Dasher is having to acquire your schedule 6 days in advance. When the scheduling opens up for me is 3pm CT my time, it may be different in other time zones, and it may also be at midnight depending on market. So in about 4 hours from now I will get my schedule for next Saturday, because it is now Sunday morning 11am. I'll grab the dashes I want and then I go back to whatever I was doing. Then tomorrow afternoon I'll get my Sunday schedule, and so on. Where this doesn't work is if you like to try different zones around your area on different days, or are trying to dash where there is peak pay, which to me is not a great idea as every other driver wants that peak pay also. Result being the adjacent zones will be busier with orders because it'll send drivers from the non-peak pay zone into the peak pay zone for pickups without that peak pay. Saves DD money to not pay out those bonuses and the drivers in those peak pay zones end up with the leftovers that can't be covered and probably end up making less overall than the drivers who maybe drove a few miles out of their zone but at least stayed busy consistently. If you can discipline yourself enough to get that scheduling done every day you will have a full schedule every day available to you. I've tried different shifts and for me, what works best is 700-1030, 1100-400, and 430-midnight. If I sleep through the morning dash, I can get going at 1045 for the 11-4 shift, or earlier if it gets busy enough for the zone to turn pink and I can log into that dash as early as 930 I've found. Regardless, if I have met my goal early enough in the day I don't even need to log into the 430-midnight shift. I'm lucky enough to have small goals for weekday dashing so the 11-4 is usually enough to make it on weekdays.
I just started in my area on the 2end of this month and in 4 days I hit 1000 bucks and yes I have 100 completion rating and I took all orders but I'm learning more about door dash everyday
I agree with this guy and I think it is based on what territory you live. I also know that there is a vast difference between an urban dasher and a rural dasher. There are things you could never possibly believe that as a rural dasher I have to deal with. Myself and my young adult son both are dashers in our area. He literally had a customer who had ordered food and he was so far away from our community (because where we live this is a farming community anything over about 3 and a 1/2 miles you're going to be in rough terrain.) We had recently had rain well when he got onto the county road (BTW anything on the county road you're gonna be rocking and rolling on an old school street with no pavement which tears your car up..) But after driving through all of that nonsense the customer is waiting on the other side of a flooded cornfield that had to be driven through to get to him. Now hes in a farm truck so it's not a big issue for the customer but my son's in a Camry! I could give you stories that would absolutely make you gasp. I will say this...it does enrage me how awful doordash is to their driver! Instacart ...favor.. others like that don't treat their drivers the way doordash does!! When I 1st started it was the base pay of $5 (and gas was 1.49 gal) if I went outside my city limits it could be up to $10 pay out without tip! Now they're sending all orders with a $2 base with no tip. It is upsetting when the same customer if was sitting in a restaurant and had a waitress walk across to their table from across the room a couple of times and probably tip $10! I don't get the mentality of people who want to use the back and car of another person and act like some kind of entitled Biff! I feel doordash is not going to survive because you just can't treat people this way and continue to make a good business out of it KARMA will eventually get them!
This comment is no joke. I too live and dash in a very rural farming true small town. I am surprised we even have Door Dash in my area because we are that rural and small. While I try not to dash in rainy weather I can attest that his comment is nothing but the truth. Nothing but respect for you and your son. Keep rocking it though. Nothing beats being able to see God’s country while you are working.
Rural Tennessee is a tough market. Acceptance rate below 50%, I was getting absolutely nothing but trash. Between 50-70 things got a little better but after I surpassed 80, I really started to see a lot of good offers.
What’s up man, I use to agree with you… I’m in the St. Louis area and been doing this for over 3 years. Acceptance rate didn’t use to matter… however in June they changed that. I was seeing the lowest of the low consecutively the past few months. I thought the market crashed… a little research shows that they are really idling us for having a really low acceptance rate. Once I boosted it up past 40 again the jobs started rolling in again. Have you noticed this?
My market here in NE Ohio is very small. I havent been doing this very long but all the ratings are above what is expected. Ive never got an order over 20. But the top dasher feature of dash now is what i want to get into vs a couple hours a day
Glad I came across this video. I was unsure about the stl market. I shot for 70% because of the dash now, didn't want to have to schedule my drives. But west co is mostly really good for me.
Being a top dasher doesnt matter specially when it comes to pay it all depends on the area your in. I was top dasher for awhile and still made the same daily amount as a regular dasher i have over 1200 deliveries and sit sit around the 95% area in all. So it all comes down to area
Same here brother. I’m a top dasher in central Jersey and still make the same money I was making with my low acceptance rate. I’m done. I’m not take cheap ass orders anymore. And I’ll. E happy to go back to my low acceptance rate. DoorDash is a scam.
Best perk of being a top dasher is getting 19 low or no tip orders a day vs 100-200 for cherry pickers. I don’t see a lot of trash. I don’t sit in parking lots. I’m busy all day long n make average $25+ an hour n go low miles
I started about last winter I've been top Dasher multiple times but the problem I have is exactly what you said which is if I have to schedule I miss out on the honey hours from 4:00 to 9:00 I could catch the lunch hours and dinner hours using schedule but I cannot schedule anything around 4:00 a.m. the second problem I noticed is when you're not a top Dasher you can't just go to the next town over and hit dash now say you want to do a road trip and you were planning on getting your gas money by dashing in towns along the way just to see the sights with scheduling you don't get that freedom but I really don't see no difference between the pricing when it comes to tips I get the same amount of money as I do as if I was a top-dasher scheduling
I don’t think the top Dasher is actually a working system. I got a note saying I got my first top Dasher award and that I would be able to use it this month. It says you can dash anytime you want. However, this is day two and I cannot click on a dash button unless it is busy. False advertising if you ask me
Also when I chatted with DoorDash to find out how it works, the guy was totally unprofessional. I asked him if he had ever done the top Dasher in the app so I can get some guidance on how it would work. He copied and pasted what the top Dasher program was from their site, and then disconnected the chat.
I respect your information however, I am a top dasher and it does benefit me greatly. The money is now way more per mile therefore I rarely have to decline a order because 95% of them are worth taking. and I no longer have to wait for an order. It’s ding after ding after ding after ding now. Also, I don’t get stuck with the 2-3 $ orders anymore. They’re always 6, 7, 10, 15 dollar orders. And the miles are usually really low on them. As top dasher, they give those kind of orders to you first and if you have to call in to DoorDash you don’t have to wait a long time. They answer your call right away so yes, I think it’s worth it.
It’s not worth it in central Jersey yet my region is busy. I sacrificed thousands of miles on my vehicle taking shitty orders until I became a top driver in April. DD is still sending me trashy orders that pay between $3 and $6. When they finally send me a catering order, it will only pay $10 to $13. So I was like, I’m done.
I feel like the biggest fool on the planet. I accepted hundreds of low paying orders in March to become a top dasher in April. Now I’m finally a top dasher. But 99% of the orders I’m receiving are still low paying orders that pay between $3 and $6. The catering orders I’m receiving pay between $7.75 and $20 yet I rarely see them. DoorDash got me good. I live in Central Jersey. Not worth it.
I’m new and have done less than 30 orders. I have been able to “dash now” from the very beginning. I’m obviously not a top dasher. Do beginners get to do dash at the very beginning only or is it just the area/zone?
I'm new to this, started last night, but if I'm understanding this correctly, the primary requirement to be a top dasher is a willingness to take shitty orders, and the primary reward is the ability to work even if the market is already flooded with other drivers. So in essence they're just using clever marketing on their contractors that if they're willing to compromise their ability to make money on a regular basis, then they'll be rewarded with the ability to work even if it's during a period where they probably won't get as many orders? Am I missing something?
I work a full-time job but I work out side by the weather it dictates if we work or not being a top Dasher helps so I can dash anytime when I get off and if I'm off that day I can dash all day but in my market I do have to dash my ass off but I enjoy being a top dasher
My advice is also know market and demographic! Not being racist but Punjabis don't tip! Also of you live in a rural area drive to the city! (Unless you have a ev or hybrid and just want to get away from your s.o or kids) I'm just a beginner but I have learnt that breakfast time is good, lunch time sucks no good tips, but dinner time is where it's at! Like 5-10 pm is where you make good money! Also try to go to a town where they have retirement communities old souls tip above norms. I live in nor cal breakfast I can get 60 bucks from 8-10, lunch 12-2 like 50/75 bucks and dinner rush 5-10 about 100/120
I feel like if you become top dasher though it is going to cost more money and time that you could have saved just to even become top dasher and so much faster wear and tear and more gas so i think if you just go to an area or city with a better market or multi app it would be more worth it than being a top dasher if your market is low
How do you know when you are top dasher, I have the requirements, does it show in the app? I dont see anything under account for any rewards or anything.
Okay so I've been working with doordash for 3 weeks for the first two week I was able to dash now without schedule I've kept up my acceptance rate, completions rate at 100% and I have 5 stars and my time is 95%, I'm at 93 delivers now all of a sudden I have to schedule and they wont let me dash now which is making it almost impossible to get my 100 dashes in for this month I have only a week left. Are they preventing me from becoming a top dasher?
Yeah it probably is worth it being top Dasher if you do the strategy that most use. Do whatever you want for 3 weeks then that last week you take everything to bring your numbers up. The hardest part for me is not necessarily the acceptance rate but rather the completion. Some merchants are just not very good. And this is of course assuming that this is your main source of income gig work
- My current CUSTOMER RATING is 4.94 - ACCEPTANCE RATING is 19% due to not accepting repeated orders under $3.00 which I don’t accept because people are cheap and don’t tip. It doesn’t make sense accepting orders that low, traveling 5-7mins to that store for pick up, wait 5+ mins for pick up with no tip, foh. Today out of 40 orders 94% of those orders was under $3.00 smh, door dash should be ashamed of themselves. Don’t get me wrong I’ve had my good days. Just have to know your market - COMPLETION RATE 92% - ON TIME OR EARLY 93%
You might get more orders as a top dasher or priority on orders when it’s slower but how much do you lose in the mean time by taking any every order including long distance and little pay orders. That has to knock a lot of profit off.
in my area being a top dasher is better not a lot of high end orders. cherry pickers here dont last long. dash now is the best reason. my bread and butter is grinding out mcdonalds, taco bell, and pizza hut.
It's called don't tell them brother! As long as you don't tell them you drive under like 5000 miles a year your good! Running flex and doordash for. Whole year I only put about 10k over what I did when I was commuting a hour and a half to work everyday
My question is how long do you wait for good orders. I tried to make my my acceptance rate low but Every-time I don’t accept an order I wait about 15 to 30 minutes for another order. I’m also waiting an hour at dinner time to get an order. When I’m too dasher I don’t wait more than 5 minutes and the deliveries are larger.
Can anyone answer me this? Naturally, when you "decline" an order, it goes against your AR. However, suppose you just ignore an order until the message that you missed it comes up. Does that count as a "decline"?
I live in a smaller college town in central Indiana. Being Top Dasher is essential to getting decent times. It's frustrating to get an hour or half hour here or there. I had to go to Indianapolis in a couple of occasions so I can Dash in my town and make it worthwhile.
Hate to say is but your not dasher by title but you technically always are. If in your area, like you say in the video, you majority of the time dont have to schedule and your getting 35+ plus orders then you have the perks without the title. So shouldn't the title of the video be "how to cherrypick in a undersaturated market with top dasher perks but no title" 🤔
They should pay top dashers more. Much better incentive.
the way they do it is by giving you first dip on the good orders
you have to try it dont just listen to what people are saying there's some perks
@@BigDub24 I've tried it, not worth it.
@@zephyrus3554 more for us
@@BigDub24 you can have it, it's shit
Then everyone would become a top dasher due to the actual incentive and it wouldn't be sustainable
Where do you live? Because I can barely make $40 a day…
@@Poptartsthatareplain101 Colorado Springs
I made $245 today and I’m not a top dasher. That was in 5 hours. But I do want to get to top Dasher.
Why do you have problems scheduling hours?
How do you become an extra?
😂😂😂😂 this is funny
Well if you only completed 99 deliveries in an entire month you should not be a top dasher so that makes sense
fr it's bullshit, their algo sucks ass and often times they have your ass waiting for orders smh
You a top fool
Me too it's way over conjested where I live so it's hard to schedule I have top dasher for dash now alone
As top Dashers, your orders will be seven dollars and above 95% of the time now that I’m top dasher. I get $15 orders a lot.
He
Same dude.
Well then ... Where are your tips for new dashers?
That was me who said it. Actually I have just become a top dasher in the beginning of April and it’s not worth it as I anticipated. Im still getting 99% of low paying orders.
You are ABSOLUTELY CORRECT! The ONLY benefit to Top Dasher is dashing anytime.
What's crazy is that use to always be an option when I started even though I wasn't top dasher then they started making it where you schedule whenever it is a busier time
Yeah top dashers being able to work 4 hours whenever and make my $100 for the day before my other jobs is the only reason I like it.
I definitely make more as top dasher. You do get preference
Doordash keeps moving the goal posts plus the support guy lied to me. He told me I only needed 4 more dashes this month to become top dasher when in fact I've only done 37/100. The issue is they won't let me do my scheduled dashes. They play dumb and say I'm not doing something right. Bullshit.
DoorDash support always lie. They’re trained to lie to dashers and give misleading information. If they tell us the truth, all dashers will quit.
No, actually they scram outta here in the summer.
How does saying they scram out of Phoenix mean I don’t like snowbirds? 🤷🏻♂️
But I didn’t tell them to scram. I just said they scram. I’m not telling them to get out, I just say they do it.
There’s a point you were trying to make?
I have 3500+ dashes no way does this help, great video and description I was showing to my wife, and the information is correct in this video!
I average about 200-250 sometimes 300 a day working 8-10 hours. I prefer dash now. With making a schedule it feels more like a 9-5
I met all those requirements and when I called and asked about it when the month was over they said I didn't have enough dashes that month I got to looking I had 160 . Called back they said my rating wasn't good enough it was 4.9 .called back they said I didn't have enough total dashes I had 240 at the end of July they still haven't given it to me and you need it in are market because there's to many dashes to get in the schedule for good days
I've been dashing for 2 months now and so few customers leave reviews that I totally lost my top dasher position because of a single 2 star review.
I agree. I got a couple of negative reviews and it killed my ratings.
If you acceptance rate is over 30% then you may friend are dashing wrong.
Cliffs Notes: nobody needs to strive for Top Dasher status
The biggest downside of NOT being a Top Dasher is having to acquire your schedule 6 days in advance.
Very true
Top dasher....it depends on your market and your own personal schedule requirements.
I just started in my area on the 2end of this month and in 4 days I hit 1000 bucks and yes I have 100 completion rating and I took all orders but I'm learning more about door dash everyday
Yes! Dash now is the best benefit because of my area it’s not big and there’s to many dashers.
Nothing beats being able to see God’s country while you are working.
jfc too long didn't read. Boil it down, Carolina.
Rural Tennessee is a tough market. Acceptance rate below 50%, I was getting absolutely nothing but trash. Between 50-70 things got a little better but after I surpassed 80, I really started to see a lot of good offers.
This is the best video I’ve seen from you based on the fact that it’s only 8 mins 👌🏼
I'm watching thos video because I'm about to become a top dasher.
I have 4.82 customer
76% ACC
100% completion
And 92 % on time 536 total.
In Atlanta suburbs
I do the lovejoy area in Griffen. Easy money
But the top dasher feature of dash now is what i want to get into vs a couple hours a day
Check app every day at 3 pm for six days in advance scheduling.
Pedro is the 🐐
Great advice!! Thank you!!
Best perk of being a top dasher is getting 19 low or no tip orders a day vs 100-200 for cherry pickers. I don’t see a lot of trash. I don’t sit in parking lots. I’m busy all day long n make average $25+ an hour n go low miles
I am a top Dasher in a small town called Johnstown Pa and I do about 600 a week. When I was not a top dasher I was doing like 300 a week
My market is tiny, literally $75-$100 a day is a good day, being top dasher will def get you towards that $100+ day because of the Dash Now
I'm a top dasher in Houston, TX and the acceptance rate is only 50 percent here
100% agree with you!
The only benefit when I look on doordash is the dash now
I started about last winter I've been top Dasher multiple times but the problem I have is exactly what you said which is if I have to schedule I miss out on the honey hours from 4:00 to 9:00 I could catch the lunch hours and dinner hours using schedule but I cannot schedule anything around 4:00 a.m. the second problem I noticed is when you're not a top Dasher you can't just go to the next town over and hit dash now say you want to do a road trip and you were planning on getting your gas money by dashing in towns along the way just to see the sights with scheduling you don't get that freedom but I really don't see no difference between the pricing when it comes to tips I get the same amount of money as I do as if I was a top-dasher scheduling
So far as a top dasher I have been making more money. Befor I was getting a lot of
Your definitely right dashing when you want is the only perk they don't give us good money as a top dasher it's a lie
@@KevinMphotography sounds like DD
Great video very helpful 👍🏾
Ive been doing this for a couple months. I get 14 to 20 bucks an hour and the biggest tip ive ever seen is 15
I feel like the biggest fool on the planet.
Are you still doing door dash? I may have a tip for you
@@dlrsnate5100are you still a DoorDash customer? Your order might still be sitting at the restaurant.
I'm top dasher this month and it's worth it I get 20 tips constantly
Just micro schedule. If you don't click on, no biggie. If you do, great.
I've never seen an order for over $15 lol in WLA
Ok so you’ve never been a TD so why even make this video. 🙄
Good content new subscriber
Doordash needs to pay a hourly wage as well
Is top dasher available everywhere? How will i know when i have it? My app doesnt show any rewards or anything or progress.
How do you know when you are top dasher, I have the requirements, does it show in the app? I dont see anything under account for any rewards or anything.
I'm getting it by default, stay at 20 or 30something percent doesn't even display my ratings or anything😎
And this is of course assuming that this is your main source of income gig work
- My current CUSTOMER RATING is 4.94
- ACCEPTANCE RATING is 19% due to not accepting repeated orders under $3.00 which I don’t accept because people are cheap and don’t tip. Just have to know your market
- COMPLETION RATE 92%
- ON TIME OR EARLY 93%
You might get more orders as a top dasher or priority on orders when it’s slower but how much do you lose in the mean time by taking any every order including long distance and little pay orders. That has to knock a lot of profit off.
Great video btw! I'm making more money bc of videos like yours.
No top dashing is more important then my safety.
I run 3 door dash apps only one is Top dasher yes order preferences are a thing
in my area being a top dasher is better not a lot of high end orders. cherry pickers here dont last long. dash now is the best reason. my bread and butter is grinding out mcdonalds, taco bell, and pizza hut.
New york city is dead , i dont get any orders in whole day .. worst state to dash
I make more as top dasher. Where I'm top Dasher if I go down the freeway. I change my zones to fish for a hit.
I make 230 a day with top dasher on 20 of fuel
What insurance to you have on your auto that covers you driving for Door 🚪 DASH 💨??
I have a Progressive commercial policy....but insurance requirements vary state to state
It's called don't tell them brother!
I only ever wait like 10-15 for a order unless it's dead.
All depends where im at if i go back to my hot zones im getting orders pretty consistently i only wait like 10 min if its past 10 : 30
How can you even answer this if you haven't been a Top Dasher yourself?
Hm idk if it’s different state to state or what because my husband became a top dasher within a few days of joining.
Can anyone answer me this? Naturally, when you "decline" an order, it goes against your AR. However, suppose you just ignore an order until the message that you missed it comes up. Does that count as a "decline"?
AR still goes lower
@@datcrazywhiteboy6205 Thanks!
I just made 1,100 this week on doordash but i prolly still won’t get top dasher
I was door dashing but gas has gotten so expensive I stopped doing it
I live in a smaller college town in central Indiana. Being Top Dasher is essential to getting decent times. It's frustrating to get an hour or half hour here or there. I had to go to Indianapolis in a couple of occasions so I can Dash in my town and make it worthwhile.
Micro schedule.
Where do you live?
I was mking 180 per day being a top daher i was making 100 per day before
Naw the large orders are $100 above
Hate to say is but your not dasher by title but you technically always are. If in your area, like you say in the video, you majority of the time dont have to schedule and your getting 35+ plus orders then you have the perks without the title. So shouldn't the title of the video be "how to cherrypick in a undersaturated market with top dasher perks but no title" 🤔
im confused, i have a 10% acceptance rate and just got top dasher for this month lol
Anyone in Sacramento market ????
lol recession comes along and you are not even going to be able to login.
My market is great, I don't usually have to decline too many orders so my acceptance rate is 72% and I'm still making 28$ an hr
Never been top dasher yet tho, I wanna try it out though
Unless the orders Make sense I will cherry pick multi app and use the fuck outta system like it uses me 😂
