The way it eventually gets chaotic as it goes on and then back to normal is like a tug of war between Sunny and Omori
Indeed, it is like tug of war.
the whole fight is like a tug of war
sunny losing to a 12 yo in tug of war be like
@@noobfart drink your milk kids, or else you'll end up like Sunny.
@@noobfart isn’t omori just depression itself
When my parents where "discussing" about their divorce literally yesterday I couldn't help but think of this song. It was like a total breakdown. Not because of seeing them divorcing, but the way they did it. Due to my personality (quite cold even around the ones I love), some trauma, and the state of shock I had it felt like a total breakdown. I played this game months ago, didn't even remembered it right until now. Somehow it makes me relax, even if it's sad and scary. I hope this all gets solved soon. Didn't post this comment to seek for attention, I just don't have anyone to tell this so I post it here as a way to relieve myself
I know you just posted this to get it off your chest, but I still hope things get better for you soon fr. I've been there myself and know that is a very Not Fun situation, but hopefully you find some relief in the coming days. take care!!
i hope everything becomes better soon, i've felt that feeling, and it sucks so much, but please have hope, and carry on! it will gradually get better, trust me
I hope u feel better :(
theres so much negativity in this world :( i hope things are good for you today
My greetings, how are you doing
I heard that the disturbed part has Mari's voice of THAT day. And like. I think it's totally true. Hearing that give me chills. The more the battle continues, the more Sunny remembers even the sounds of that moment.
Ah yes,
the musical interpretation of the sudden realization of finding out you were the cause of your sister's death and the regrets and traumas you get as the memories of the incident of that unfaithful day fully unravel uncontrollably
*Truly a banger*
omori tugged on a very specific trauma that i didnt even realise i had, and it left me affected for days afterwards
It wasn't your fault. Don't beat youself up about it.
It killed me and i was the one betrayed *by* family with 0 remourse.
I guess i just prefer and latch on to an image of somone who genuinely didn't mean to hurt their own flesh and blood
only days?
Come on little brother, you can you do this!
But I killed you tho
holy crap mari from omori has a yt channel
MARI
@@red7855 sunny what the fuck
@@red7855 it was an accident. Nobody blames you. You can get through this.
I love the slight ringing bells in the background, almost feels like an earthquake in your own mindspace, symbolizing the potential destruction and stakes of this final fight.
Isn't that a piano? It does sound like a bell, though.
@@egret_orchid143 I think it's the bells causing that but I know why you thought of piano -w-
The way you blended the different parts of the theme was done really well, good job!
😭 tysm, i tried my best so i'm glad you liked it
@@Cougy It really is. I genuinely didn't expect for it to flow as good as it does, I can almost envision someone having a panic attack and crying their heart out as I'm listening to this. It's... touching.
Though coming to think of it, I suppose it makes sense why I'd imagine that... 😅
@@dexiofloof348 heyyy that's actually happened to me before-
Hey, did you know in the alter section, you can hear Mari falling down the stairs?

L o-F i // OMORI OST 168-169 // Beats to have a mental breakdown to
@@tommasomaruffi1306 yes.
Some friend of mine was intrigued by that one game I had left a special place in my heart, and just asked me for me to explain it since he would most likely never play it by itself, so I'd just explain (against my free will) the omori lore, and he just went to see the endings, without going through the game, and came back to me asking " Where is the horror part ?"
If you went through the whole game dude, those simple statics and screams would mean so much more to your soul.
Ive heard this song, throughout all my traumatic moments in my life this type of song played in my head.
At first, I thought that listening to OMORI on repeat would be a bad idea due to the agonizing nature of the song, but then I remembered.
This isn't Hollow Knight.
This game helped me a lot with identifying and picturing my trauma in a way i couldnt describe before. Thats why i really appreciate mental health themed games like these because it helps me process everything that happened. I cannot put into words how much i loved this game and how much i needed it.
I love trauma!
Especially chronic trauma!
@@CanOfSpriteFoundInNewYearsEve trauma caused by pizza
Hilarious. Wow. What top shelf comedy.
:D me too!
You know... Something interests me about the title of this.
'Alter'.
... What is an 'Alter'? In modern terminology, an 'Alter' is a name for an entity that exists within someone's mind when the have DID, or Dissociative Identity Disorder.
This could suggest that, taking into account some of the things said (Examples: Basil 'taking the blame' for marking out the photos in the album, not being able to see the closet, etc.) that Omori isn't just some extension of Sunny... But is an altogether separate entity entirely, and now wants control.
it says alter because it's an alternate version of the theme that plays when you get further in the fight
Curious things is that many people that went through severe trauma (things like seeing a relative die in front of you, rape, etc) tend to create in their own minds these alter, as a form of blaming them of something they did or to relieve themselves and escape reality when needed, so this is accurately true!
its because its the alternate version of the song lol
DID does form around a very traumatic event, hence the brain just sort of splitting up different parts to control your life, maybe after that incident is when Sunny had DID? (Sorry if this wasn’t putted together properly, eyes watering)
Time to hear this when my parents are fighting, when I’m alone and crying because I’m too weak to stop it all
:( hang in there!!
@@Cougy but don't hang literally
pls hang in there, it sucks but it'll get better soon, dont give up hope
It's not your responsibility to stop any of it. You and your life have so much more than them. Whatever words they use, believe this: you caused none of it.
Forgot to mention, you're not weak. Especially because of any issue they aren't able to resolve between them. It has nothing to do with you. God... I wish I could hug you.
This was precisely what I was looking for. Good job!
I have listened to this song atleast once without changing songs for 4 days, HELP.
The battle. where you cannot kill omori. Omori kills you
but.... do not give up...
This song really doesn’t help my depression. But I still love the song.
That transition is so smooth
Funfact: You can actually hear someone saying "stop it" in the alter part
It's probably Mari
@@randomnessunlimited6265 yup
You can also hear a gasp, and maris screaming as she falls down the stairs
"Fact"

can this play at my funeral?
This masterpiece can make you feel happy, sad, afraid, and relieved at the same time
Am I the only one who hears choking in this song?
If you look at the memory photo albums' descriptions, sunny actually tries to storm off down the stairs and shove mari out of the way when she lunges in front of him. The boy has been overplaying his guilt from the beginning
your guilt consumes you
Its just better to quit by the way.
