3 years ago they released clean. Now they have toured with BMTH, Sleeping With Sirens, ADTR, Loathe, Spiritbox and now they have a vid here in hate5six. This guys are living the dream and I am so proud of how far this lads have gone! Cant wait to see how they evolve in whatever they do next, Rouge Carpet Disaster was my favorite album last year.

this bands trajectory is to the moon and always has been, so insanely themselves and Olli is one of the most creative dudes in the scene right now, can't wait to see what SD get up to next.

Just finding out about this band and they are like a blast from the past. They sound like 2008 Our Last Night mixed with Thursday and I love it
Jesus their engineering is super tight. Don't think I've seen any live footage of these guys without it sounding fantastic. They don't get a lot of love but firm handshake to the live engineers and sound techs these guys use.

Saw these guys in Brooklyn with Loathe. Absolutely unforgettable set, one of my favorites in recent memory.
just like sysc I like their ability to be so versatile, there are so many influences... from mainstream genres and bands to underground genres and bands, it's like they took the best from many sources and put together.

Been on this band for almost 2 years they are next up and they deserve every bit of success they have
if any of you have never heard of these guys before this video, listen to rouge carpet disaster right now. they are this generation's answer to any emo band you've ever grown up listening to and then some, and rcd is one of the greatest and most versatile albums of the last 15 years; they deserve everything theyve gotten and even more, and i hope to god they can get mcr big soon.
They did say the last 15 years to be fair, I would say the most impressive thing about SD is how well they fit into the fold of that era in post hardcore. Some say it’s rehashing and nostalgia baiting, but they genuinely improved on the formula that was conceived almost two decades ago, and a big part of that is the image. They also write conceptual songs around a story and their first EP is a comic book soundtrack.
I just found them 2 days ago by accident when I was listening to Superheaven & clean popped on it reminded from when 10 or 11 post emo or post like hardcore. So in general I love this band wanna see live so bad.

I’m pretty sure C0ntrast has always been the same. Like, Oli, Sam, and C0ntrast are the core i’d say.

Sam (drummer) and contrast (guitarist) joined in early 2021. They're on the "prologue" and "rogue carpet disaster" releases. The OG drummer and guitarist are on all the singles released prior to "sweet" in june 2021. The OG bassist was in the band up until a couple months ago. The touring bassist (george) is now an official member. Static is Olli's vision so it all sounds connected even with the member changes.

Lots of bands do this, but tbh I cant fault them. Less $ to split amongst members is probably the reality of the situation. Set is 1000% to a click/abelton session.
Doesnt take away from the fact that everyone in this band is firing on all cylinders and brings it live

The early live videos from this band were trash, but the vocalist is doing super good here, glad he improved so much. The huge amount of backtracked guitars are lame thou.

Right ? Just get a other guitarist godamnit! So many of my favorite bands that used to have two guitars are now just using backing tracks with only one guitarist actually playing. Who even knows if the real guitar is in the live mix half the time to be honest ? I mostly here backing tracks and some noodley guitar riffs being played by the live guitarist

Well yeah, leads are backtracked for the most part. I also think the guitarist loops some leads but I have yet to see them live to confirm lol.

Loads of bands do this now. I agree it sucks but unfortunately you either pay for another member to join and split the tiny amount of money even more ways, have a really thin shitty live sound which doesn't reflect the record or use some backing tracks. For most bands the last option makes the most sense.
@@bengreenbank i think they just need to be mindful of not letting backtracks drown out that live sound. That’s a bigger problem than the actual backtrack
