Hey Battlelords, i hope yall are enjoying Paris 2024 as much as I am. Jamie Battle also runs @PiplupJames, which is my new channel as this one has become more of a legacy channel. So please subscribe to the new channel today for more of my adventures. Now. The new intro for Primetime In Paris is VERY GOOD and tries to be like Marvel and it’s working. NBC although not perfect, really stepped up their game for this Olympics.
I hate that they don’t do this anymore. I always used to love the daily opening like this. Everything is always so abbreviated now, like what’s the rush.
Walsh competed in 2 more olympics after mays retirement in london, win silver both times with jennings, they may be in paris in 2024 at least jennings might, walsh had a baby so shes done for good but shell probably still attend this year
I HATE how they started cutting the opening Olympic theme to just 1/10th of it's length for "time" It cheapens their broadcast, and now, there broadcast are total trash made as cheaply as possible. The video segments use cheap commercial library music instead of amazing music from composers film work. The closing credits are atrocious, they use the same licensed song now every games to save $$$. By far the most extensive production NBC did was for Atlanta. Everything else went further down hill with every games.
After Dick Ebersol retired (after Beijing 2008, one of the best games ever) coverage went downhill. Almost every commercial break went to a word from local stations, cutting away from ceremonies (Vancouver 2010), no longer using “The Adventures of Brisco County theme” for the next day’s events & of course cutting the opening intro. And we’re stuck with NBC until Brisbane 2032 and the Olympic Channel is going bye bye after today (Sept. 30, 2022) ☹️
@@MrJamieBattle yes Beijing was the last good broadcast. I actually stopped watching their coverage after Beijing and recently saw their coverage for Tokyo and it was abysmal. Wow I did not know today was the last day for the Olympic channel. 😔 I'm hope in 6 years when the Los Angeles games come around they might improve. Doubtful.
Yeah Tokyo 2021 stunk. We was lucky to even have that and Beijing 2022 was marred by that skater and Putin just staring down at Ukraine’s team. Just hope for the best for Paris ‘24. The only good thing they did recently is that they aired the opening ceremonies LIVE as it occurred for Tokyo & Beijing.

Every night was like watching a movie. I miss when they would do this.
I loved this opening of the show each night, it was perfect
The poetry of bob costas along with the great music, they scrapped all of it
I miss this so much!
These intros were the best. NBC stopped doing them in this format. Idk why, but it was a mistake.
I wish they would bring it back.
I love the way this came on!!!
NBC has done a tremendous job covering the Games... Hands down the best network that can do so!
I hate that they don’t do this anymore. I always used to love the daily opening like this. Everything is always so abbreviated now, like what’s the rush.
I really liked this intro for some reason. Thank you very much for uploading this.
Such a nostalgic feeling!!
Wont sound the same next year without costas
NBC has the best promos hands down, but this was underwhelming. Watch the NBC intro to Athens.... chills.

I can’t wait for Tokyo next year!! 2020 Olympics,
Is now postponed to 2021
Costas was interviewing athletes while having Pink eye, a very contagious eye disease. Gross!. NBC nailed it.
Thanks for the upload. Shame NBC cut the closing and opening ceremonies
I was so lucky to be a gamesmaker at London Olympics
NBC Needs A Late Morning Start of the opening ceremomy at 11am (eastern standard time)
I'm so excited
They stopped these with Bob Costas left. Mike Tirico, bring them back!
25 days to RIO!!!!!
I like the intro at 1:23
Why don’t they make it this dramatic anymore?
Pistorius went from glory to disgrace. He is a murderer.
3 days till Rio
One day if you count women's soccer
How can I know the song from minute 3'40 to 4'10? Thanks!!!

NBC: THE WORST OLYMPICS BROADCASTER EVER.
