    Watching after trial. I did not find her credible at all and didn’t think her story made sense, but I found it concerning how many people vehemently supported her.
    I considered those who believed her might’ve had information I didn’t, so I decided to watch this hearing to see if my BS radar is malfunctioning.
    I now believe without any doubt AB is where she needs to be: locked in a cage, and those who believe her are simply unable to read human behavior or have personal experiences that skew their view.

    Wow.. Now that was a bombshell.. He was killed only 3 days before a huge custody hearing.. He would have most likely won his case because the judge had already sided with him previously. Doug seems like he knew enough to do things the right way, and legally in regard to his child. He also seems like he tried extremely hard to please Ashley and keep her happy. I find it very hard to believe that Doug actually laid a finger on Ashley.

    • @jmgood2870
      @jmgood2870 Рік тому +12

      Actually it wasn't a custody hearing, but a court hearing where the joint motion of both psychological evaluations would be revealed. Doug wouldn't move to Maryland or stop his divorce proceedings until the results of the both psychological evaluations were released. Doug was cleared on his, and Ashley wasn't. She knew Doug would most likely divorce her and gain full custody of Emerson after it would be revealed she's unfit to parent. Side note: Doug was given full say in regards to Emerson's health decisions, not Ashley. Ashley needed to gain full custody in order to receive child support for her and her mother to pay their rent and bills.

      As a right provided for us in our constitution here in America we shouldn't be so quick to object to his demeanor in court. Miranda rights give us the right to representation if and when accused of a crime. I would hope to shout if there ever came a time to invoke my Miranda rights that my attorney would vigorously defend me against my accusers no matter how foolish he may appear. Just saying

      @@leannehartley7928 I believe you have missed the point entirely, but to respond to your kind reply, the constitution in fact does allow me to dismiss his demeanor at any time. It is called freedom of speech. It is not only what he says, but how up he says it. In my opinion, he is annoying. His commentary on day three objecting to the judge’s comments on her right to or not to testify were frankly ridiculous. It is his right to say things like that, but he should know his comments are not helping his client. Enjoy your evening.

The judge very succinctly summarized Ashley's plot right there in that audio. This is exactly why juries are instructed not to research anything on the case.

I hate emotional theatre trials like with Rittenhouse or Murdaugh. I appreciated good procedural trials like murderer Daryl Brooks and the killers of Ahmaud Arbery, even though all these defendants make you grind your teeth. The judge we listened to from a previous hearing was completely wrong & purposely ensuring she highlighted Ashley in the worst negative light! That man punched holes, shot his gun in their house, threw a loaded gun at her, & punched their dog and none of that is considered intimidation?? Blamed her for not leaving?? That pos judge has no idea what an abusive relationship is! No mention of him marrying a woman who's young enough to be his daughter, two weeks after meeting her & only nine months after his previous wife died! Doctors do not induce pregnancies unless it's medically necessary therefore, she must have been under a lot of stress due to this man!! That judge was WRONG WRONG WRONG!!
