Honestly, some of that interviewers unempathetic reactions look like he barely gets what Matt's saying, or stops paying active attention after a few seconds, or is emotionally aloof to what he's being told. Almost like he's just trying to get through the job of reading questions on the list, smiling, holding mic to guest's face, next question, smile, make short comment, smile, wrap up, punch out, get beer, dont remember anything.
It's pretty brave to say what he said about elections in america...Not too much people recognize that there's something wrong with how politics is handled there...
I don't really think it was on the South American tour, because he said it happened a couple tours ago. And the South American tour was their last tour before going to Europe,
Wow, can't believe that story at the end. Scary fucking world we live in. I always worry about shit like that if I ever tour with my band...damn haters on here can get really intense just because they don't like what they're hearing.
Nah, I doubt it was here in the UK. Not at least with a gun, if it was a knife sure. But, not a gun. If anywhere I would say this was somewhere in America or Brazil.
lol its just a dictaphone with a sound windscreen over it. The dictaphone is for convenience and portability and the sound windscreen helps keep the audio clear so you don't hear that muffled noise when people move mics or if he accidentally touches the speaker, just keeps the audio clear.
THAT CAN BE ANYWHERE, even in UK, you just dont know to talk such thing. Its like America and Brazil is the two countries that have violence problems. That was really offensive.
Billings, Montana?? Are you serious?? I confess I dont know any factual crime rate numbers about that city, or much of anything about that city in full honesty, but who would imagine. Ofcourse I would assume it has delinquency, but out of all places, one would picture something like this happening in Detroit, or Cali, or DC or some shit (no offense to these places but...)
And its sad, because Matt dindt talk the place because of things like that. We have that kind of problems around the whole world and when happens, that does not means that every people of the country are like that. You sound just superior to live in U.K.
How was politics relevant to the bands interview?? Seems like he didn't know where to go with it. Gun control was the biggest issue and job growth as well. Now its government shutdown and budget plans.
that attack, so disgusting, can't believe there are people so low in the world.
Matt is a very grounded, intelligent individual.

This guy is my hero! He's 26 has got 5 successfull albums out there. He plays guitar like a god AND sings. Such a great musician and character!
Good to see an interview filmed with two cams :D Heafy is the man!
I don't remember where I heard it. Don't hold me to this, but I THINK it was on their South American tour
Matt Heafy you sir are doin it right!
It's pretty brave to say what he said about elections in america...Not too much people recognize that there's something wrong with how politics is handled there...

I heard about that attack on them but never knew what happened..

Very scary story at the end. I'm glad they made it out well
No problem, glad I could help.
The Logo on his shirt?
wise words.
whats the intro song?
Wow!!! Respect matt
Turn on the closed captioning for a little comedy.
His discipline has a lot to do with why he is such a great singer and performer, rather then just playing the I'm a rocker party guy role, respect
So much respect for Heafy ^^ He's pro!
total class act.
so true :')
Corey would of tore them apart!
Hair looks great Japanese Ihsahn! Love you Kiich
And to think my fiancee was scared when I took her to the Trivium Mosh 6 years ago.
that Dissection shirt though XD
Damn I'm sorry for what happened to them...that must have sucked..
I respect Heafy for not being a party guy. A lot of bands party too much. There's nothing wrong with partying but touring doesn't reflect on partying.
Matt Heafy is Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
This whole time im thinking..... Matt Heafy is the Japanese Ihsahn!
Matt totally summed up my beliefs about politics. Who would ever want to kill Matt, he's such a good person...
THAT CAN BE ANYWHERE, even in UK, you just dont know to talk such thing. Its like America and Brazil is the two countries that have violence problems. That was really offensive.
Can't help thinking that if Corey was there, those kids would have gotten their asses kicked or maybe have backed off.
the story ... I hope that wasn't dublin cause they haven't been here since like 2008 I miss those guys

why always in german interviews they ask about USA politics :DDD especialy when they interview Matt Heafy :P
Matt is such a cool guy
in the next 200 years, i hope the human race still exist. But i doubt it.
No hope for the human race!
that city was probably detroit.. I'm from michigan..lol
The very same.
And its sad, because Matt dindt talk the place because of things like that. We have that kind of problems around the whole world and when happens, that does not means that every people of the country are like that. You sound just superior to live in U.K.
yo you know it was in detroit
Does anyone else love that he's a metal sightseeing foodie hipster?
Matt's right though..
That's exactly what I thought for some reason. lol.
Haha Corey is a beast!
fuck yeah I was gonna say
Doesn't Matt know jiu jitsu ?
Probably because they had guns he didn't wanna throw a punch, cause if he did, they'd shoot. I don't know it's a tough situation to be in.
He started learning jiu jitsu cause of this attack
And obamacare
