i did because i have a screwed up septum. its perfect and big enough but i had my nose broke before so i have a mini blood clot that got pierced. Nothing to deadly or anything and its healed perfectly fine

I remember my DIY septum piercing horror story. I pierced it wonky but I also pierced it through the cartilage. Took me over half an hour just to get it through cause the pain was unbearable. And I have 19 piercings and none was as painful as that. It was bleeding, my nose was running, I was crying and I had to stop when the needle was half way through, then carried on. I was dribbling cause my face was numb from shock. I was the most painful thing ever and I swear I hit nerves. Right through the cartilage with no space left when I pierced it. It was right AT THE EDGE OF MY SEPTUM. NEVER AGAIN.

yes, i know everyone is commenting on how she pierced it wrong but they didn’t mention that it’s supposed to be closer to the TIP of your nose. i know how you feel, and i have been RIGHT where you are. i made a video on piercing my own septum (it’s unlisted now) and i pierced it too far back from where you’re supposed to pierce it. it was pierced on the ‘sweet spot’ just towards the back of it. i took mine out yesterday, and i’m maybe gonna try again idk? but anyways it was a really entertaining video and it actually doesn’t look bad bc if the shape of your nose, it actually looks good. ahh ogey bye ❤️❤️

That's too big of a gauge to pierce with. That's why it hurts. You're supposed to use the smallest gauge/highest number. Sizing a piercing is the opposite of sizing clothes and shoes. If want it bigger, then gauge it after its pierced. Go through the sweet spot, not the cartilage. I wouldnt be scared of it coming out. I'd be worried that it would scratch and hurt you on your cartilage when its flipped up without balls.

You’re not being a rebel you’re being dumb. 1 going against your parents wishes for something as dumb as a piercing, and 2 for doing it yourself. You did this the wrong way sis and that’s the tea. You didn’t wash your hands to start out, you aren’t supposed to use hydrogen peroxide, way too big of a needle, pierced through the cartilage, and you’re probably flipping it up and down constantly which will make it rip through your septum. I hope it works out but next time do it professionally for the least chance of infection.
