Does sand mess up your filter? I have the same filter. I was worried about getting sand, also is it easy to vacuum the sand? How often do you clean yours? I currently have pebbles for my cichlids, they don't seem to mind and move it around quite well but I know in their natural habitat they have sand. Opinion? Thoughts? By the way love your set up 😊👍💓
With finer sand Ive had problems but if u get some that is not as fine it wont cause any issues and to clean it you just hover the syphon over and suck up the crap lol

What is the process from bag to tank for the sand?
I just dumped it in a big trash can and ran water threw it and mixed it up then dumped it into the tank I'm pretty sure its on part 1
