Thanks for the great video. I love crazy nibs. My craziest one is a Monty Winnfield Basilisk, which is a seagull on top of a cobra with a medium point in between. Its a lot of fun to use.
Is there anything to learn from the feeds on those gushers? I want my fine and medium nibs to just write like fire hoses or like when you purposely saturate a feed but full time. Still searching.
Fantastic video, Emy. The fabulous pens cannot be ignored either. Now, the nibs are really quite a bit of exotica, in that they are not remotely commonly available - and frankly, do not appear to write anything like standard nibs we’re accustomed to using. I loved the Namiki’s nib best. And the MB 146’s Bespoke nib and Dorsal Fin’s nib next. Superb stuff. The LB5’s nib is honestly quite impractical for normal writing. And the Sailor 1911’s Cobra nib is absolutely fascinating but quite a let-down in the way it writes. I can’t imagine using that nib for any normal cursive writing at all. Many thanks for showcasing all these nibs. What a treat to watch! 👌
Thank you so much for your feedback :D That namiki nib I gave it a tweak and made it write a touch more wet because frankly speaking, I like the smoothness that comes from more ink that lubricates the iridium ball. That nakaya nib is such a fun and crispy feedback nib - love it. The LB5 is like ... fun time only and the 1911 Cobra is when you just want to show off :D
@@pen.venture ..Very good descriptions of the said nibs. I don’t watch every video you put out, but many of your videos are absolutely top-notch content in terms of chosen topic and presentation. This video is among the best few I’ve seen on a pen channel this year, so far. Carry on, buddy!
What wonderful, crazy, whacky nibs. I actually came across a Sailor KOP with cobra nib for sale when I first got into this hobby about 7 years ago and although the price was way out of my league, I just didn't get the fuss, as I didn't have the knowledge. Anyway appreciate your videos as always. Can you also please comment on the ink used in Nakaya please?
WHACKY - that is the perfect word to describe these nibs :D - I never knew that KoP size nibs where made also in a cobra configuration but that I have to say I never seen even in pictures :D In the nakaya I had a very nice option of my Blue Black inks - sailor manyo kikyo
Oooo that was a very interesting video! Thanks Emy. I wanted to ask what was that first ink on the Nakaya, it's perfect! - Edit, found it! It's Sailor Manyo Kikyou
Thank you Tom :D - hehe that blue black is sooooo deep and nice, + there is a specific smell of manyo inks that I adore, its like chalk, bring many memories from my elementary school years
I would argue that because people buy so many ink bottles these days, they do need nibs that write like a paintbrush!
:D that can be true... or better said ... a trend :D
Thanks for sharing.. the last 2 nibs are out of this world and only available for my eyes to feast on.
it was a feast and a joy to share this experience with you all :D
Wow!!! I'm in awww 😮...thanks for demoing these Beauties for us
its the kind of nibs that one just doesnt see in one video back to back
Love the giggles whenever you put one of these nibs to paper. That's still what I feel with the Namiki - every day! Thanks!
:)) these nibs are like the cherry on top and this is how I feel when I touch the paper with them - thank you Scot :D
Great job on review of crazy nibs
Thank you my dear friend Ruben 🤝
Awesome video and awesome pen collection. Thanks for sharing :D
Thank you for the feedback 😁 these are some of the more exotic choices at my disposal
Interesting, thank you!
My pleasure! Thank you
Hi Amy, what is the ink you use in your classic LB5 in this video? Thanks
Hey there Sun , in that one I have Taccia Ruri 😁💙 nice blue right ?
Wow, awesome video Emy, thank you! It's nice to see some extraordinary content on your channel. Your enthusiasm makes it a joy to watch. Thanks 😊
imagine the time spent surrounded by these all day :)) I get to giggle all time when I pick one of these and put it to the paper :D

hey there Kyle - that nib sounds like something so interesting to have
My workhorse pen is a Sailor Large cigar shaped pen with a Naginata Togi nib, writes like a dream.
Yup - that Nag Tori nib is so so versatile with its characteristics

hehe ... anything can be adjusted to run a firehose wet but I dont think we can always use that kind of a nib
Hey Emy, what was the ink used in the Nakaya? Thank you!
Hey there Brandon :D im a big fan of blue black inks , the one I have in my Nakaya is one of my last purchases - sailor manyo kikyo
@@pen.venture I'll have to pick it up, it's gorgeous. Thank you!
We do have it in stock :D
What is that blue color in a dorsal fin?
Sailor Manyo - Kikyou ink :D
@@pen.venture thank you)

:D thank you so much - I try always to bring something new or a new angle on every topic I approach
👍🤩what ink do you have in your Nakaya Dorsal Fin?
hey there Tobi :D in that one I have a very underrated blue black - its Taccia Jeans ink - Black (actually is a super dark blue almost black)
Thank you so much 🙏🙏

@@pen.venture Yes! The smell is unusually pleasant :)
Interesting but pointless pens!
maybe the point is to be interesting and pointless ?
