I don't know how but you keep making a great pedal better.

OMG!!!!! I just got one of the 5 that was reissued this morning, just 110 minutes ago!!! I’m just about gonna poop my doopers, I’m so excited! Sadly, I must leave for a week long tour in 4 days, so I can’t even have it shipped for another 9 days. But when it gets here….
I’m gonna poop my doopers. 🎉

What are the advantages and benefits using Nanolog devices instead of using transistors, didoes, FETs? I'm confused what does the deposited carbon do to the clipping effect?

    • @crammojophilter
      @crammojophilter 2 роки тому +1

It had (Nanolog is now out of business unfortunately) a quick clean-up and Germanium-like envelope that I dug, but without Germanium’s volume loss. I still use transistors, diodes, and FET’s, the N2 was just another arrow in the clipping quiver.

@@crammojophilter Thats to bad that Nanolog went out of business because I thought u would make a tube screamer version using Nanolog chips because it has a different clipping quiver effect? and very sensitive envelope dynamic range? The new origin effects just came out with their 808 tube screamers which had an Adaptive mode which not only envelopes the dynamics but also changes the response of the tube screamer by adapting so it sounds like an old fender 50s tweed amp had a large dynmaic range from uV to mV which are very rare for overdrive pedals to have on the front end stage. Check out the origin effects 808.

I also am a user of the OMEC.
Just smashed TF out of Like & Subscribe, and rang that Bell dude!

@@SpiralElectricFX The OMEC does IMO seem to play a bit friendlier with dirt pedals, better perhaps than going direct into my (Gen 2) Focusrite 18i8 in some scenarios. Mostly depending on the pedal naturally.
I just discovered who you are, and this new Spiral Electric FX endeavor. Totally dig what you're doing man.
I've unwittingly been quite the fan of your work for a few years now.
I'm honestly really glad Josh (JHS) wrapped up that 250 vid with the whole story, because even before it got there? I was already frantically typing away about it, and once he did? I had to go back and edit my freakin' comment! Bwahaha!
      Long story short?
Soulless corporations like Samsung are disproportionately incapable of recognizing anything of technological value other than safe investment market share returns, while the subtle artistic nuances and passionate breakthroughs inherent within this albeit niche analog community? Will ultimately get left to fend for themselves. That? Or when the surplus Cold War analog components dry up. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I could easily recognize, just from a creative perspective way back then, the daring innovative gamble and unique direction DOD was gearing to carve out for itself, and if had been left to do so by the corporate overlord powers that be? Would of eventually succeeded in an analog mass market revival in my personal opinion.
      That's all I'm saying.
Pleased to make your acquaintance though.
Stay safe & well my dude.

@@SpiralElectricFX The pleasure was all mine dude. Best of luck and success to you and your new creative innovational undertaking. Given the amount of experienced ears within the community who can actually distinguish the difference between purchased marketing hype and when someone genuinely puts their heart into their craft? I have know doubt that you are on the path to achieve great things. What TF do I know tho?! I literally bought a Gold Horse Klon NIB for $280 back in 2002 and then gifted to my producer after we mix wrapped. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
