Well, that is proper nostalgia including the reality of it having an issue. Love these old buggies and cars you show us. Loving your idea for that time trial. 👍🏻
Hi pal. Nostalgia is good for the mind. It unlockes good memories. ( and bad ) This hobby helps with both. Men are human as well. Talking theropy helped me a lot. Keep well and safe.😁
Thanks for sharing the cool story Andy and the buggy looks to be in great shape. Sorry it quit on you but a few hobby grade bits in there and it will be better than ever!
I had a similar 'toy grade' buggy years ago, a mate of mine had one too, he modded his with extra battery holders and a switch to run the normal 8 AA batteries or 12, and boy did it shift with 12 AA batteries!! And that Peugeot looks awesome!
I had a similar model I had the Flame thrower also by Tandy. Bought another one recently and fitted it with hobby grade electronics and it brought back memories
Im pretty sure i had something like that before i got my 1st hobby grade buggy. You cant beat a good trip down memory lane. Looking forward to seeing it back out with modern electrics. And be interesting to see how the pug fairs against the propper race buggys 👍

No wonder it broke after that crazy send! :) Yeah, memories, didn't recall they were so noisy, there's a nostalgy in that plastic gear whine!

These are the same chassis as the red arrow right??
Nikko I think made that for Tandy and they should make it again.
The touring car should be made again too.
Yep Nikko originally made that chassis first for Radicon then Tandy
