As an atheist, I’d much rather enjoy my life on earth not indebted to some invisible concept that there is no proof of than spend my whole life begging them to spare me from something they created themselves.
@@nitehype4z38But the thing is, there is an infinite amount of proof that exists. The fact that we're alive and breathing in conditions too obscure and specific to be a coincidence, for example. You can look into it if you'd like. Plenty of articles, podcasts, channels or books exist that talk about these topics. But if you truely don't want to spend time looking into it, no problem.

Here is some verses I like to share to show how "loving" Jesus is.

Luke 12:51 "Do you suppose that I came to give peace on earth? I tell you, not at all, but rather division." - Jesus
If you want the context of those quotes it was Jesus talking to his followers telling them what they must do (hate everyone) and what he plans to do (divide everyone). That should be obvious but it's amazing how many Christians haven't read the Bible and need the context explained to them. So I have started to include the context.

This scenario actually does happen. Many so called Christians tell the street preachers that they are not loving by speaking the gospel message of repentance. Yet, there is always someone who gets saved by the message of the street preacher.

The day of al-‘Aqabah
The day of al-'Aqabah refers to an incident in which the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) went to the town of Taif to call its people to Islam. Al-Bukhaari (3231) and Muslim (1795) narrated that ‘Aa’ishah (رضی اللہ عنھا), the wife of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم) asked the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم): Was there ever a day that was worse for you than the day of Uhud?" This was when the Prophet was injured in a concerted attempt to kill him by the Quraish idolators of Makkah, during the battle of Uhud.
He said: “I suffered at the hands of your people, and the worst that I suffered from them was the day of al-‘Aqabah, when I presented myself to Ibn ‘Abd Yaleel ibn ‘Abd Kulaal, and he did not respond to what I wanted. The Prophet had gone to Taif to invite the leaders and the people of the city of Taif to Monotheism, Islam, but instead they verbally abused him and instructed the other inhabitants of the town to also abuse him and throw stones at him. He was dazed by the ferocity of their unprovoked attack, both verbal and physical, bleeding from his wounds as he left Taif; he continues the story, "So I went, with signs of distress on my face, and I did not recover until I was in Qarn al-Tha’aalib, where I lifted my head and saw that a cloud was shading me. I looked and saw therein Jibraa’eel (عليه السلام), who called me and said: Allah has heard what your people said to you, and how they have rejected you. He has sent to you the angel of the mountains, so that you can tell him to do whatever you want to them. Then he called the angel of the mountains to me and he greeted me with salaam, then said: O Muhammad, Allah has heard what your people have said to you, and I am the angel of the mountains. Through the wisdom and mercy of the Prophet the town of Taif was spared and as a fruit of that they all later accepted Islam.

The problem with many preachers, especially street preachers, is how they call out the sins of the audience in an attempt to convict them of their misdeeds. Jesus never did this, nor did Paul. It isn't the preacher's job to convict others of sin, that's the Holy Spirit's job. We are to preach repentance for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand and leave conviction to the Holy Spirit. This explains why street preachers are often assaulted, as God's hand of protection is lifted when we deviate from the pattern Jesus set for us.
Maybe God called people to be street preachers 🤷🤷
What if the Holy Spirit isn't a job but a way through from its sacrifice?

FYI from an atheist: Telling a morally decent and upstanding person that you think they should, and will, be tortured forever if they don’t agree with you is a great way to end a relationship.
As a Christian, my relationship with Christ is first and foremost important. As long as you know about the truth then it's more important than our relationship lasting. You die because you sin and that's the price to pay. Decent morals ain't getting you anywhere

3 questions.
1. Why worship a tyrant who sends people to burn and be TORTURED for eternity simply because you do not believe in them?
2. Why would an omnipotent, omnibenevolent, omnipresent being be OFFENDED at someone not believing in their existence. Especially offended enough to, like I said, send them to be tortured for all of eternity.
3. If a person in Australia didn't believe you existed, would you be offended? Much less offended enough to want him to be imprisoned for life, and tortured throughout his sentence and beyond?
My issue is not with religion. I think it's fine to believe in some higher power, I myself even lean towards wanting reincarnation to exist. But worshipping a tyrant is just not something I'd understand or support.

What you care about doesnt matter. Your sins will bring you misery in your life and youll never be happy without God. You can convince yourself that im wrong but it doesnt matter. You are correct in that it is right not to judge the heart because we do not fully know the heart of another person. Only God knows, and His response is an offer of mercy, reconciliation and transformation which is available all throughout the span of this life. He desires to show mercy to souls with more eagerness than a mother who wishes to save her child from the fire. It is not our place to judge the person themself.
But it is also right to judge the sin itself so as to recognize it for the stumbling block it is and to warn others of it. It is a stumbling block which will never truly satisfy but rather will only leave you more empty and will ultimately (by its own nature) separate the soul from God who alone knows and satisfies the desires of the heart in full.

Christianity is a cultural myth that should be banned. Any lie should not be presented as truth. It should definitely never dictate your behavior. If it is fiction, then it should be presented as fiction. We can enjoy many adventures that never happened when we play with our imagination.
The problem every Christian has is that they can't separate fiction from reality. God is imaginary, and every lie about him in the bible is false. You do not get to live after you die, and it's not adult behavior to threaten people for not having an imaginary friend in common with you.
You should not be bold in your disinformation campaign, you should change your mind and move on.
We should be bold but at the same time not judging. For example I will be bold in the sense I will preach to a crowd during a pride parade. However I will show respect, be understanding, have love toward them. Not be angry or having hatred. Even when they attack my faith I have to realize that that’s what might happen and be calm. Realize that they are not understanding the words formed in their own mouths.

Why would you follow that? We have a word for love already, and that's "love." Inserting god into that does nothing but add the baggage of thousands of years of bigotry and tribalism, it only serves to corrupt one of the most genuine emotions a human can have within them. If we spent more time crediting humanity with love instead of some imagined god, maybe we'd recognize we're better than we've been lead to believe we are by religion.

Actually, Matt Dilahunty says it quite often, on his atheist public access shows and podcasts. He's been saying it for almost 20 years now, IIRC. He says it as a way to force christians to engage instead of retreating.

It is a warning to say "if you do not turn from your wicked ways, Hell is certain. Choosing sin is a threat because you are harming yourself by endangering your soul.
There is no potential in the risk or problem, separation from God is certain when you choose to be separated by sinning.
Heaven, the forgiveness of sins, truth, redemption through the name of Jesus.. are all offers. Love itself in this world and the next is an offer. God truly loves us, so for it to be true love then it can not be forced on us, so we choose every day, each moment, to accept the offer of love, and give the offer of our love.
Death and judgment will reveal our last choice to accept His love, and if we reject it, we cast ourselves into Hell. Separation of love leaves hate which is the greatest threat.

An atheist wouldn’t say that because an atheist doesn’t believe in hell. Another choice is that hell itself dismisses the concept of a benevolent god, so atheist are fine if the outcome is negative for them if it was given by a biased, unloving tyrant.

Atheist here and I’ve heard Penn Gillette, a fellow atheist, say he respects when Christian’s share their beliefs, since the Bible commands it of them and it means they are being true to their beliefs. Hello, I am an atheist. Please do not do what this man says! I (born female, currently gender-fluid (idk how to change the name, I struggled with my identity for a while and now I know but I can’t figure out how to change the name)) was going to be in a relationship with a Christian guy. He and I hit it off, and our personalities clicked. He knew I was atheist, and at first he didn’t say much about it, but he got progressively more aggressive with his attempts to convert me to Christianity. I repeatedly told him to stop, and even resorted to making fun of Christianity (which I don’t normally make fun of a religion) to get him to stop. All it did was egg him on. I left him before I even got into a relationship with him due to him consistently shoving his religion down my throat. If you want to talk about religion, that’s fine. I don’t care, just be respectful about it. Don’t try to force your religion onto somebody who clearly isn’t interested.

A pastor from the Baptist church told me that I’m not a “true child of God” because of my Masculinity and I’m a woman who loves boys clothes and I love to wear them but the people in church don’t like me i feel like, because I’m not feminine at all and that makes me feel sad and then I stopped going to church now because of how they treated me.
The reason why he kept on telling you about Christianity is most likely because he worries that, if you don't convert, you will go to hell when you die. Nobody wants that for their friend. He wants to see you in heaven.

Actually I spent about three hours today passing out food to people who don’t have enough money to supply themselves with food, I had a prison ministry until they closed the prisons I was going to, and have gone to larger towns to donate things they are in need of and to help feed the homeless. Have not brought any homeless into my home though. How about yourself what have you done? By the way doing these things is good but useless if you don’t know the truth of scripture.
