As soon as I saw High C's, I knew I had to make a piano arrangement. It always seems that just when I think Thomas Bergersen couldn't possibly write anything better, he reaches a new level of astounding mastery. Such is the way with High C's, one of the best pieces of music I've ever heard.

This is my own piano arrangement of High C's and I believe I am the first to arrange this piece. The track is just so incredible. I remember the day it came out, I had tears in my eyes because it was so beautiful. I pressed the replay three times and I was truly in awe.
I have been following Thomas Bergersen's music for years now. It has so much life and vitality and his work, both on Two Steps From Hell and his solo albums, has been incredibly inspirational to me.
It was about time that I started making piano arrangements of his music!
This is my first real attempt at making something "virtuosic". I'm greatly inspired by the UA-cam pianist Animenz, whose every arrangement is at "insane" level. He also gets a huge number of views and I would love to eventually have a piano video on this channel that reaches one million views.

I would be so happy if a video like this one reached even 1 million.
This track took me probably more effort than any other video I've made before. I actually injured myself trying to play the part where the first side angle comes in and took a week off playing to recover. High C's was so incredibly difficult that it was impossible to play it all in one sitting. Instead I recorded each part as a separate take, getting them as perfect as possible. Because it would have been pretty much impossible to play it up to scratch all at once.
2016 has been a very interesting year for me - I began working in music full time in September, quitting my day job to do what I love. There's a point sometimes when you are doing something and your heart just isn't in it. That was me before I went full time. My ambition is to put out a video every single week and I have a goal of reaching 10,000 subscribers by July 2017.
Anyway! I hope that you enjoy High C's - I've used everything at my disposal to bring you the very pinnacle of my piano ability.

Thomas is the only composer I know who can make one piece feel like an entire saga at the end. At the end of every piece you feel like you've reached a super long journey's end lol

Tuomas and Thomas are my absolute favorite composers in history - my life would be colorless without their music. I also met Tuomas in 2016, and Thomas responded to one of my Facebook comments, so I know the thrill! Keep up the fantastic work - who knows where it will take you next??

My computer had a hiccup and started playing it in 480p halfway through, I stopped it. I rather not hear it at all than to hear it on anything but the best possible quality, that'd be blasphemous.

Anyway my ming is blown away each time I watch this kind of part being played by a "digital instrument" like piano or harp (violin too). I'm a musician myself so I perfectly know that it must seem easier when you actually play this instrument, but still, as a french-hornist, I just can't manage to imagine the rung of dexterity you need to perform things like that. It was written at the commissioner's request to sound like Nightwish as that's the band I've done the most covers of and where most of my subscribers have come from. However I don't regard it as truly from me because of that style. I will have to write some more original piano music though, and put it up on sale, both the audio and sheet music plus making it available to patrons.
