Thank you Matt for asking such interesting questions! The breakup scene between Galadriel and Sauron hit hard, because there were mixed feelings of companionship, allyiship and romance, all tangled up in their relationship. I hope we see more of their complicated bond in season 2!
The breakup scene was hard. Galadriel really cared for him. And he was really upset that she would not join him. BTW, they were so nice to interview. They talked it up with my team (recently graduated students)
I absolutely love the cast of this show, they’re always so friendly and kind and happy to answer questions from genuine fans!! I really loved your interview :)
I love the depth of your questions! They hit some points that other interviewers don't and some of them seemed to allow the cast to bring up some things they didn't get asked about anywhere else. It's obvious from your questioning that you're familiar not just with the source material and the show but the principles of storytelling as well. :)
@@moderatedbymatt Mmmmm, I’ll subscribe then to see it! 💕 I’d also watch an interview with Cynthia Addai-Robinson, as I love love love love love her portrayal of Miriel. Though her performance speaks for itself. 😍
They're all great, but I'm so impressed with Tyroe! He got this role at 14, he's just hit 19, and it's his first major role. He's got a hell of a lot of insight and depth into his character and he's really nailing how to interpret his character's motivations, feelings, and driving forces. By the time RoP finishes in season 5 he'll be about 24 so I hope he continues on getting roles given how damn well he's doing with Theo.
The interviewers at this SDCC have been vetted within an inch of their lives to get this gig and the SDCC/Amazon overseers (blue lanyards) are hovering in the background ensuring that questions don't stray into 'challenging' territory and that everybody stays on message.
The people in the background aren’t overseeing what the actors talk about. I think they’re only there to organize who’s talking to who, so the whole thing goes smoothly.
The studio people made sure that every actor came over to every press outlet. It was the most professionally room press room I have ever been in. It was the less stressed press room I have ever been in. Plus, the cast was amazing to talk too.
Finally an interviewer who actually seems like a fan of the show and knows the storylines. Great questions that bring some interesting answers!
Thanks. I do really like the show and I am a big fan. Plus, I love how the story and characters are laid out.

Loved watching this interview.
Thank You. I hope to interview them all again.
This dude asking all the right questions ❤
Thanks for liking my questions and calling me the Dude. It makes me feel like Jeff Bridges.
Weyman is my favorite actor here...what an amazing job! And he knows his character so very well.
I wanted to call him Gandalf, but I resisted the urge.
Somehow I love Stranger even more now
Usually, Press line interviews allow one question. And it is hard to go in depth. His answer was so deep and thoughtful. I loved interviewing him.
These were really great questions and answers 😁 will you be doing a reaction to the series? I hope so
I hope to do more in depth interviews with some of the cast. It might be via zoom since they are in Middle Earth,

I am hoping to do a zoom interview with her. I had a lot more questions to cover with her.

great interviews… thank you so much. & Daniel Weyman wearing his Pounamu around his neck is so special… AOTEAROA REPERESNT❣️❣️❣️
Thanks. Daniel was so thoughtful and wanted to stay longer to talk more.
Looking forward to the show
My fingers are crossed on getting more interviews from the cast this season.
We love and respect Morfydd and Charlie. Excellent interview.
They both were so nice in person. Very genuine and really smart. I wish I could have a longer sit down interview with both of them.

he was a great interview. Very insightful for someone his age.
Tolkien did not write all grey. There was clear good and evil, even if some characters had grey moments.
That is what is amazing. There are clear cut good and evil. But there are complicated characters like Gollum who battles between good and evil.
