Foxes are such beautiful and fascinating animals. The way they care for their young is so amazing! They seem to purposefully build dens in close proximity to human inhabitants, where they know coyotes or wolves are more hesitant to frequent. I wouldn't let my cat outside though, if I knew we had foxes around. Not worth finding out the hard way that the foxes are hungry enough to try something.
Be extra careful round foxes cause there can always be more then one around and they are still technically a predator an will eat small animals such as cats bunnies etc
Thanks. I actually agree with you and am aware. I don't encourage these interactions, but I guess I haven't discouraged them either. We also have fishers and coyotes here and another neighbor lost her chickens and a cat that disappeared in the woods. This cat (my other neighbors cat Sunny) seems to be an anomaly. For over the past 5 years he has actually played with some foxes. Others like this one, he just kind of hangs around. Others he has been afraid of and things have looked dicey. When I've seen that, I have chased them off. A few times, I have heard a fox call (that terrible sounding scream) in the woods, and have seen Sunny run in there towards the sound. And then I see him around the next day.
@@sosrozyeah those fox screams are chilling! Esp if you're alone in the woods. Yikes. Sunny seems to be more comfortable than he should be around a predator like that. But he seems to know that the fox is more afraid of you, and won't try anything with a human around.
Ur cat has a death wish. Ur not smart if u can't see ur cat is in danger.. foxes eat cats because house cats aren't strong enough to fight off a foxes live in the weather every day. Ull will wish u kept ur cat safe because ur 🐈 has zero survival awareness. Foxes are wild animals don't ever think different unless u raise the fox ur self.. just blows my mind how careless people are about love ones just CRAZY. #facts
@@RedneckoutdoorsTraxlyon69 Thanks. I actually agree with what you say. This is not my cat. It is my neighbors. I don't encourage the interactions, but haven't tried to break them up unless things gets dicey. This has been going on for over 5 years. There are times this guy has actually played with foxes. Other times where things have looked dicey and I've chased them away. Other times like this somewhere in the middle. I've even seen Sunny run into the woods when a fox is calling/screaming.I am beginning to think he is an anomaly.

Kitty said sneaking up on me? Try that shit when I'm facing you
