That is a fantastic spot your in! One of my favorites. I try and stay away from as many people as I can in that place.
Yessir. I hit it once more with my son a few weeks later and, again, didn't run into anyone. I'll take it! Thank you for stopping by!!

Just subbed to yours and will check out your stuff! Thanks again.
Fish that hatch all the time you did good so far be it from me to tell ya to change anything but with the hendrickson hatch 2 things I found when they are rising and not taking my dead drifted dun. One is try a rusty spinner, if u took in the water you will see a lot of cripple flies and the spinner pattern just works on the fussy fish. I know it's supposed to be a spinner but the fish don't know.. Two is to move they fly. I don't know why but I would have a ton of refusals have my fly in the water down stream looking to change flies and get a hit. I've even had takes stripping in line straight upstream with a dry and they nail it or swinging and skipping across the top of the water across the river. So funny we try to make such a nice drift and when the fly is barley in the water they want it go figure. Worth a try if nothing is working almost embarrassed to skate and swing my flies so hard but it works.
Didn't finish the video before the comment, I see you did exactly that haha letting the fly hang 😉
It's all great feedback and all true! Thanks for stopping by. Tight lines! Sunk flies!
Was this the river by canton? Does the water stay cool enough for fish year round?
It was down around that area. It's cool in the spring. I'd assume it stay cool but I fish further up in summer by Riverton and the dam. Thank you for watching.
Where is this hot dog stand?? I fish the farmington all the time and will probably fund this guy's operation with how many hot dogs I eat!!!
Ha! I'm a sucker for hot dogs. Right around Canton. Across the stream from what looks like a bunch of soccer fields. Thanks for stopping by and tight lines!
Where on the Farmington are you …. Thanks
I will tell you it's very accessible water but it seems a lot of guys skip it and head upstream. That much I'll tell you. Thanks for stopping by. Tight lines.
Is there any 10 lb trout in there ?
Not on the end of my line "yet" but guys catch some big ones in there for sure.
Wayyyyyy down stream! Nice vid man
You got it. Was never down that far and was surprised to find myself completely alone at the second spot. I know there are some pigs in there and will be back. Appreciate you checking out the video and commenting! D and D giving the small channel some love. Thanks Dan!
I hate New York guys crowding the home river on the weekends 😂
I will be sure not to say hello 😅
Nice video…. remember the pectoral fins are normally a dead giveaway of a stocked or holdover trout. When worn in the hatchery, they don’t regenerate and remain thicker and often stubby.
After having admitted at the outset that you don’t know anything about that hatch, why are you wasting our time with this video?
I'm so glad you wasted your time commenting! 😅
