  • In old albanian "Lule" means flower, here sung together with Marion's twin sister Claire. - Auf Alt-albanisch heißt das so viel wie "die Blume" aufgeführt zusammen mit Marions Schwester Claire. -- En albano antiguo la cancion se llama "la flor". La hemos tocado con la gemela de Marion.

This is a song popular among Albanians in Southern Italy. They speak an archaic medieval version of Albanian, mixed with some Italian borrowed words (understandable since they have lived in Italy for more than 600 years). "Lule" means "Flower" in old and modern Albanian too. There is a mispronunciation of the words "macë-macë" and "dalë pacë" which in this version and other versions are mistakenly pronounced as "matsche-matsche" and "dale patsche". I don't know which version is the source of this mistake which makes the song sound ridiculous in Albanian. I am Albanian and speak both modern and old Albanian, and Italian as well. In the original song, the right pronunciation is "matsë-matsë" which comes from the Italian "mazzo" meaning "a handful". The lyrics is talking about "handful of flowers". Also the "dale patsche" should be pronounced as "dalë patsë", also a mixture of Albanian and Italian. "Patsë" derives from the Italian "pazzo" (crazy, mad, stupid). "Dalë patsë" means "I go crazy" because the lyrics "Lule lule macë macë, unë për ty dalë pacë" would be translated as: You are like as a handful of flowers, and I go crazy about you. Listen here to an original version sung by italian-albanians themselves:
