She's the most refreshing Alto sound I've heard recently...... cool school like the West Coast... nice to hear a melody lover who doesn't feel compelled to play 5,000 notes within a 32 bar tune.
As a steady listener of this band, (and being a drummer) I always comment on the outstanding rhythm section of Hans and John. But Billy is of course a great supportive rhythm section player, as well as a creative improviser. EVERY player in this band contributes something excellent, and I soooooooo appreciate you all! :)
Love alternating Latin and straight ‘running’ beat. GREAT solos - enjoy Andy’s top notes contrasting with Jens’ deep bari. Small format, big input from all!
