great vid, I own the evo HD 8 single fork arm version, love how simple is to setup and operate, always a blast to show people the planets jupiter, saturn, and some of the bright deep space objects , never gets old when they go WOW 😮, keep the videos coming 🇲🇽
Awesome Nerd Greg! Nice equipment. I Like these vid. Very knolageble for a new enthusiastic guy. keep doing what you doing, I appreciate that. keep the videos coming my friend. So I can lear a bit more. I have the exact telescope with the ASI 174 color. I took it out twice in 2 years. Not many places to go sky gazing around here. I also have been trying to learn more about it. Whether not very nice lately, live in San Clemente area, it's been foggy almost every da it's, Crazy, oh well, Like the background Aztec follower here as well lol!
I really like the cpc series. I have a 9.25 nexstar evolution several times I wish I went with the cpc because of its extra features. I'm just grateful I have a Celestron telescope.
That larger mirror must bring some beautiful images though!! This is my first Celestron telescope and I'm sold on it's perfection!
@@astronerdgreg I know, I've seen some pretty faint stuff even in my level 5 bortle skies. I can only imagine how much I could see at a true dark sky location. I do love your scope too, just stumbled onto your channel and quickly subscribed. 😉
@@AaronDavila1 thank you for the follow! I will be sharing more of my experience driving to dark locations and assembling the telescope. I still need to practice and learn how to fully use this equipment though😬
@@AaronDavila1 I live in Bortle 6 or 7 skies but I drive to a Bortle 3 sky about an hour away from home everytime 😁

Hi,
what would you recommend between a eq6r and a c8edge hd or this setup
Do you have any fast star images takes with Hyperstar.
Hi! Thank you for your question. Here is a link to my Instagram with a Hyperstar image. instagram.com/p/CHePA75HJiA/?igshid=3jpltggi5fl2

Far better results is you had a proper GEM mount, has people function and far more precise tracking over a wedge. Also using uncooked cameras, not the best choose at all. Going to all that trouble, should get the proper gear.
And I completely agree with your comment! As I kept learning more I realized that the tracking would function better if I had a GEM. But by then I had already invested in this time machine 😬 at this point, an Eq Wedge was the most affordable solution to field rotation. $400 vs $ few thousands. As for the cameras, well $350 vs $1500 (at least) is an easy decision for me. Eventually the goal is to upgrade 🙌🏽 Clear skies!
@@astronerdgreg I agree with you. I can afford a 3 or 400 dollar camera much easier than a 2, 3, or 4000 dollar camera. The same goes for mounts. A good eq costs more than this scope and mount together. If you can afford all that then cool. Some of us are poor and have what we have. My CPC 800 advanced is on the way. Can't wait to get it in the back yard. One of the things I like is its good for both visual and astro. I don't worry about rotation. You can take care of that with software. Besides, the high dollar stuff used by professionals is mostly alt-az. Good enough for me. I plan on an decent doublet of long focal length as a guide scope and let it guide in alt-az. No biggie. Be safe.
I love the HD Pro Wedge absolutely no Meridian Flip ever is Required.
