I uploaded same few years ago , kinda fun how some videos are just forgotten on UA-cam. You have one flaw in your diagram, there are no balance resistors between power transistors which will cause that more current going trough one transistor than other, while it should be equal on both transistors. If you are lucky , difference will not be to high so you will not destroy power transistors. But danger exist . Since this is my favorite bench power supply I have to like every single video about it .

Finally you uploaded it.... 😅😅, thank you so much bhai, as I needed this video the most...
You should consider putting a ballast resistor, something like 50 mOhm - 0.5 Ohm on the output (emitter pin) of the 3055 transistors so that they share the current and therefore the heat equally.
Wah kmal kar dia. Nice
Excellent proyecto!! 👍. I needled exactly something like that 🙏🙏🙏
Brilliant idea & excellent work.
Waaaw... amazing diagram... 👍👍👍 thanks sir... from Indonesia..
Ya,...sama sama...😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ngikutin skema diatas ko ga fungsi ya, entah salahnya dimana

superb...👍👍👍
This project is very nice!
Very nice
Muy buen proyecto
Best tutorial ever I see
Good job! rhank you!
I finally found a good circuit Thanks
Hello where do you get it please ?
Hi, How much max V does the input support?
Also, a very easy good recipe. I have never seen better than this.. Congratulations.
Very nice project 💯
I tried this cct a few times but failed. Wonder why the no. 10 pin of IC LM723 (V out) has no connection to it?
Thank you sir for sharing your details about diagram for us
Nice build!

I don't know how long ago this was uploaded, but i tried it and it works. How about an explanation of what is actually done by each part instead of just giving us something to copy. That would help me a lot in tryng to understand the circuit and troubleshooting it later if yhe need arises.
You showed where to get every part BUT the actual power transformer. To be able to provide 6 amps, means the transformer has to be large enough to provide that current capability and maybe a little more. Also, instead of trying to find a transformer with two secondary outputs, forego the 12 volt output and use a 12 volt regulator after the bridge circuit off the 25 volt output. An LM7812 will provide the meter power with no problem. Just install it after the 25 volt output bridge and filter circuit. Then you can eliminate the (4) 1N4007 diodes and C4 100mfd capacitor as well. Just an idea...
Kiyani my friend, you've goofed with the Schematic or the parts layout mate. On the schematic, you show pin 10 of the LM723 in junction with your 680-ohm resistor and the base of the D313 (which you show in the schematic as a TIP 41) but in your parts layout diagram, you show the LM723 pin 10 isolated. Were you aware of this or did you miss it like most other posters here?
Yeah thats what im saying
I saw that as well. Didn't miss it !! Not sure which is correct.
Voltage variation when load is removed, is not expected on a bench PSU. It could damage something else, connected in parallel at the output.
Maybe it is because of the current is more than 6 ampers. and exceeds maximum current which ps can give. if it is the same for all loads it could damage the devices.
Such a simple fix. It should be monitoring the voltage after the transistors, not before them. Transistors are current amplifiers, so the voltage out will depend on current. Whichever pin is the negative feedback on the LM723 shouldn't be connected to the Red but instead the orange output wire.
а огромные пульсации выходного напряжения при 6 амперах тебя не смущают? ахах. смотри, у него конденсатор на 1000 микрофарад всего.
и еще куча всег овключая компенсацию в 0.1 микрофарад
thank you my freind
Super video
Nice ❤
this is a real demonstration how to diy ellectronics
Hello, why do you have this voltage drop from 12v to 10v when you put the load ? can you avoid that ? thanks
thank you sir🥰
Thank you.
A great project Bro! Can I use a 12 + 12 transformer? How many amps? Thank you very much !
There is to high voltage drop when connect load. I think that the pin3 of IC723 should be connected with emiters of output transistors.
I made the same device according to the given instructions but it didn't work as it should. The voltage was not stable after connecting the load, it dropped by 0.5 to 1v depending on the current. After I connected pin3 of the LM723 to the emitters of the output transistors, everything worked perfectly. The voltage was stable both under load and when the input voltage changed.
Hai man
I have some questions please answer them
1) Did you directly connected pin 3 of the LM723 ic to Transistor emitter ?
2) Or have you used any resistor in between pin 3 and emitter of Transistor if yes then what value ?
3) pin 3 needs to be connected to D313 Transistor emitter or 2N3055 Transistor emitter
i like your soldering.
please tell me some tips how to do line soldering.
👍
very well iam also going to make it because it is linear i also have switchmode one but linear is good for sensitive circiut 👍👍👍👍👌
@Surge Power Technologies power out put depend on the output voltage you selected if you selected higher voltage and your transistor have no heat sink so you can use current through it almost 2 Amps without any problem 2 Amps not the last limit value but without heat sink 2 Amps is working good with voltages 8 to 15 or higher but when you selected lower voltage below 8 volts then be careful use heat sink or without heat sink not must be cross 1 Amps or more because all the voltage across your transistor will be dissipated by heat
Selecting higher voltage means for example your input voltage is 12 volt so selecting higher means select voltages between 12 to 8 or keep the difference less between your input and out put voltage in order to consume more current
Bro I make it but it doesn't show any output voltage what's the reason bro
@@muhammedadil4463
check your conection properply beacause if you did something wrong in circiut it will give you output voltage no matter what is the problem and double check your volt meter maybe it is not working and you blame the circuit and also check all connections properly
@@erdum voltmeter is correct bro all connections is properly connected I am use 24-0-24 5amp transformer
hey, bro what alternative could i used if there is no 12v 0 25 v transformer available?
Bhai...it wud b great if u u start providing pcb so that it wud b easier for us to make the pcb board

Good o
Hi, what software do you use for creating that color schematic?
Hi, Could we see a modified version of this circuit where its control loop is driven by a microcontroller using PWM for CC CV modes please ?
Thank you
Nie and clear ! May I please ask what are the maximum output voltage and amperes can the circuit produce?
I don't know if he ever answered' 'but its normally around 6 to 8 amps per pass transistor' 'voltage adjustable from 2 to 37 dc volts''''i know its a little late''''but did this help you.......James,, Oklahoma.
Please also make dual tracking power supply for + gnd and - voltages
Thanks
Ok thanks but what is all the other bunch of components doing on the factor assembled Linear DC power supply? What is the difference between yours and the factory one?
plz tell me d313 transistor alternative transistor can i use for this process
Connecting the 2 BJTs in parallel is not quite a good idea, as one of them will always carry more current that the other one although they are one the same heatsink. Anyway, i think that the circuit is pretty good and I really the quality of the video itself. Good job!
you can use current resistors in every emiter 0.1 Ohm 5W is ok
Yeah, but although adding a resistor to the emitter is possible, a 0.1 ohm one is not quite sufficient to keep the currents on the same level while adding higher resistance is making it worse by creating more heat in a high current application.
Regarding transformer you prescribed 12 + 25 v , which type of transformer needed
Which is the simulation software you have used
thank you.very good
At 10 min 13, layout doesn't show pin 10 connected- that is the LM723 regulated output. You sure this works?
You can use a tl431 ic for more stable output which doesnot rise even if load is removed
or a ECG-923D
what about the amps, it's also adjustable ?
Great proyect the lm723 is the best regulator for analog power supplies. I'm have 13,8 vdc samlex power supply for modification to variable!!
Witch application u r using for designing circuit????
Hello, nice video ! i plan to follow it and want to know first if it will occur a big voltage drop. I did another one with TIP35c, LM 317 and DB139 and with a small load, more than 2v drop. The supply is strong (650w ATX). Thank you.
normally the capacitor controls the voltage drop''''' the higher MFD of cap the minimal of any voltage drop'''''use a bigger cap or many smaller caps and you should have minimal voltage lowering when the ''load'' is applied'''''''james''''oklahoma.
Sir 2sd313 mosfet alawa aur kaun sa mosfet use karsakte hen.pls ....
Bro can I use D1047 or 2SC5200 Transistor instead of 2N3055 ???
hi sir .nice very nice. what other amount can be used instead of D313 ??
good video but whats the other variable resistor for?
Are the 12 volts only for powering the voltmeter ammeter?
how can I get this project to 60v and 5amp? My Transformer has windings of 34 volts. Thank you
Hmm the regulation is not very good. I think your deployment method may have a few issues.
hey bro what size of vero pcb should i used for this power supply
Hi, I don't wanna be rude but, it seems you guide people to how they can wire it. I'm looking the logic behind it could you help me about it? I mean I knew what does clamper circuit or full bridge rectifier doing. But I'm not sure how you choose your resistor for that IC's. I want to be a good electronic designer but it seems puzzle to me. I am looking reasons for every steps. Do you have any suggestion?
For that Study Analog Electronics Circuits, Digital Electronics Circuits, Advanced Electronics circuits.. These 4 Engineering subject can clear your doubts and you can be a good designer. It takes time but yes.
Math, Physics, Chemistry, Thermodynamics of 12th level should be clear to you to start these subjects. It's not difficult but there is no quick way to learn it.
Good morning
Bhai current ko vari karsakthe hain kya is circuit meain
which software is used for circuit presentation.....
I also assembled this circuit but not working, I think pin 10 of IC is leftover you have to clarify the circuit.
Very good video, I really liked it. Do you have a regulator circuit that regulates the voltages and amperage of a power supply that give 1-30 volts and 10 amps of current? I am not talking about the whole power supply but only the part of the regulation. If you do not, I would appreciate it if you could do one in a future project. Thank you
ua-cam.com/video/bE8j5GgdMb4/v-deo.html
Could I have the circuitry map, please? I really appreciate it. Thank you, Indeed.
This supply will suffer from high voltage drop and poor current limiting since there’s no feedback from the actual output l, but only from the low current path to the output transistors. There are many much better designs out there!
Where I have some problem
Outputnya Berapa volt dan berapa ampere....? Apakah bisa jika input menggunakan transformator Bekas UPS CT 6-0-6 5A....?
Hello, does anyone know the name of the program that was used to design the circuit?
Alternative for input power

Transformer1-12v and transform2- 25v esa alag alag transformer use kar sakte haj kya??
Hi, how many ampere can it deliver? Thank you.
Hello, how to reduce the voltage drop ? this is annoying to see volts decreasing
Can we give input 24v and 3 amp transformer??
I made it as per circuit but out put Volt is not increasing or decreasing by potentio meter but giving only 3.4 Volt only.what is wrong please advise me
You need to connect from pin 10 of ic lm 723 to pole b of tran 2sd313
HI SIR, CAN PLEASE MAKE VIDEO ON WORKING OF UC3842 IC ???
ok bro
1N4007 diodlar ne işe yarıyor ? Görevleri nedir ?
X favor no c si podrían hacer videos también en español latino..., gracias
in this video you have not mentioned wattage of resisters you are using which most of technical youtube videos do not mention wattage of resistors used for the projects which is important . please do mention same in your future videos
vijay chavan

it would be better if you explain the logic in the circuit.
if u have 25V ac what would u need this for as u probley have a VPS
use this circuit
what is the output voltage and current of the transformer?
Hi bro i make it but it doesn't show any output what is the reason bro pls reply
Bhai 3A load ke liye 1 3055 transistor se kaam ho jayega na?
No, 3055 can carry around 1.5A current
Please tell what software did you used to draw the wiring diagram. Thank you.
What is the software name which is use for ckt diagram and presentation.. ???
you cant use BJT's like that, with high current you have thermal runaway, one of the transistor will carry the load
with a ballast resistor it should be fine.
@@frosty129Should be?
Try test it with a big load and measure the temperature on each transistor.
@@flemmingchristiansen2462 well, the circuit proposed in the video as it is will have this problem as you mention, but if you put a 0.5 - 1 ohm high power resistor on the emitters of the npn's in parallel, the voltage drop across these so called ballast resistors should in theory help to balance the current between devices equally.
what software or video editor are you using for your illustrations?
Adobe Primer pro for editing and MS Power Point for illustrations
why you hv to use 2 bridge rectifiers?
Hi! How many Volts is your supply? Thank You!
What Amp is your Transformer?
