Much Appreciated! I play bass in a psychedelic rock band and I'm thinking about getting one

It seems obvious to me now, but I should have plugged a bass into it. Duh. I suspect it doesn't have quite the low end voicing that a modern bass amp does. Less rumble. However, if you're playing melodic basslines (or anything other than root notes on the E string) then I bet this amp would help lift you over the mix.

If it's a '69 then it's probably a AC568 circuit. The tubes chart sticker on the inside is a woefully inaccurate way to identify amp circuits in Fender amplifiers. Fender was notorious for using up all the "old stock" stickers before making new ones. Sometimes the stickers would be outdated a year or so from the actual circuit! '60's BF/SF Bassman circuits are: AA864, AA165, AB165, AA568, AC568. The thee numbers are the month and year of the circuit design ( AC568 = May 1968). The AB, AC was the modification that they made to the original (AA) circuit.

The clean tone of your strat here is so close to the Niandra ladies… of John Frusciante. Great stuff, thank you.

That strat has Seymour Duncan quarter-pound pickups in it, I think it sounds great in everything!
