Man this feels like im watching the good days of MK9/X SonicFox. Tekken8 is soooo good, its fun to watch so many cool characters with crazy good combos/moves and more. Kuma and Hworang are still my favs since ps1 days. but Azucena is looking really really good. out of all the fighting main games, MK is my fav but not recently or for a while. Tekken8 and SF6 is killing it, for me personalily i like Tekken8 better its so polished and feels for real next gen fighting.
Feel this will be a difficult game to master for SF because it less offense and more defense, and then maximizing your opportunities. Very unforgiving with experienced players.
True but if you're good at 2D games, shouldn't be that hard as Tekken is much slower(in terms of frames of moves). Once you find your main, time will only make you better

It makes hitconfirming a bit harder (though, since you can chain punches, the only hard hitconfirms are heavy punches) and it makes the game less understandable and reactable, as in, for whiff punishing, you probably have to predict the enemy instead of reacting to the whiff. You could even argue slower fighting games are harder because they are slower. You need to be able to decern the move they used, what frames it is on block and use the correct punishment. Or watching a whiff and knowing if that move is bad on whiff or a bait. And its harder because the game is designed around your ability to be able to properly react to the enemy. And besides 2D antiairs (maybe) or drive rushes, you aren't really reacting to much in SF bc the game is just so fast. I wouldn't say faster/slower framewise is any harder or easier, its just different. And easier/harder in different ways. But overall, in my personal opinion, for both beginners and high level players, tekken is harder. But not because of the speed of the game.

I think it's actually some sort of mixed stuff but that's how we know it. Just mexican street fighting XD
I hope you stick to tekken for awhile, it's an extensive legacy game so I don't think even you can crack the elites under 1-2 years, but I want to see new bloods that can give the old guards a run for their money
Been loving the game so far, but its hard for me as a newcomer playing online in these early hours of the game. Like I queue for a casual game and get matched with people named "trashimitsu" who do combos on me, lasting long enough for me to go take a shower. I think I'm gonna wait another week or so before going online.

I believe in sonic as much as the next person but he will never beat the top players in this game, the knowledge required to be top level in this game is more than all the others games he plays combined, hes starting too late and hasnt put in enough time where as Pakistani and Koreans have been playing since they were kids, Id love to be proven wrong of course but its not gonna happen, ill be as proud as any other American if he somehow pulls it off though
Maybe at first, he'll lose, if he goes to majors where the top Pakistani and Korean players are. Then give him a year or so into the game against those same top players. I think he'll make top 8 more consistently and eventually a major win at some point. That's provided he doesn't randomly stop playing Tekken for MK cause he misses it or something. 😅

The game actually rewards you for playing more aggressive. That's the focal point of TK8 heat system.
