This is such a funny show. The accoustic bass, swearing in front of the little children, this being Jason's first time with Green Day, the accoustic bass being actually really good, then-unreleased political accousti-punk warning followed immediately by their song about jacking off, the fact that they introduced Jason as a guest and he just never left for 24 years, the fact that they act like they might do this gig again and they never did in 24 years, and above all that it's an amazing show despite how funny it is.

Actually the closest thing they got to MTV unplugged was playing on MTV while unplugged if you search it they play time of your life redundant off the Nimrod album it was in support of that album before time of your life was released as a single which ultimately blasted the record up the charts in 1997
Why are so may people not fond of Mike's backups? He is hitting his notes. Weak tone but it's live. He's does backups for a punk band. Straight up nailing it.

They‘ve done two shows one in 99 and one in 2000, I think. There are two acoustic shows and they play the same songs in the same school but the wear different clothes.
Some of them are babies :) like 1 or 2 years old :) Sorry for any confusion, i didn't really mean young children, i meant the ones sitting on their parents laps.

No disrespect to Green Day, Green Day is one of my all time favorite bands since I was a toddler, but I don't see the point of an acoustic show if they're just going to play the songs the same way as the originals.

I loved the casualness of the Warning era. They just showed up onstage and played. No fancy stage clothes or makeup.

Don't forget starting off the concert with a song about meth addiction.
Well kids back then were tougher meaning they didn't care or take offense when they cussed or talked about adult subjects
dont forget a song about drag queens infront of children lol

This Was In a school Though
+Robby Tolentino nawww what i meant was this is the only event where they went full acoustic
The.Green.Day.Idiot Ok.....
They had one during the run of their nimrod album with two songs. Redundant and good riddance

I agree so much
It’s fair to say that Green Day should put out an acoustic studio album
Half of warning is acoustic
@@raycome9073 not the same thing brother
My favourite version of King for a day
this is so cool im watching this in 2024
A studio version of scattered with acoustic guitars and softer drums would be amazing
I agree!!!!!!!!
It exists. Though I don't believe there are drums, just acoustic
The irony... This is Jason... He is going to perform with us tonight... xD

I love acoustic music, because you can tell a band's talent when they're stripped of all the studio stuff. Great concert! Thanks for posting.

Thank god for youtube. Spotify used to have this set among a few others bundled in one big unplugged album until they removed it.

Don't know what I want
That's all that I've got

And my pulse is beating out of time
I found a treasure filled with sick pleasure
And it sits on a thick white line
