I have literally spent this whole event just building fun decks to mess around with. How foolish I feel now that I realise instead of enjoying myself, I could have simply gotten 45 wins in 8 hours of this multi-week event
@@bobalopadus8901 it’s almost like this event is to experiment with and then the following event will be for your deck you’ve created that’s actually good
Jake! Just wanted to say you inspired me to start streaming this game myself and I appreciate all your content! My deck composition has got so much better through watching your livestreams, I never miss one! Thanks man can’t wait for the next one. Slab.
Serperior's Jungle Totem effect is indeed boosting Alakazam's damage output. ^^ I'm playing Zam on a daily basis and nothing brings me more joy than crushing the dreams of Celebi EX players. xD
I think Alakasam attack would work on jungle totem and if it doesn't it should and here's why. Celebis move says flip a coin for each one attached and the jungle totem doubles their flips. So if it doesn't work the other way around then that would be really messed up.
I think this deck but with two mew instead of sigilyph is great. Mainly because it gives you two options in terms of attack, both of which are strong depending on circumstance, plus mew doubles as a wall
I was watching the video like usual and you read and answered my question in the middle of it, it caught me off guard cuz i was like “hey that was me!”. lol first time that ever happened to me
In the real TCG it works differently. You have to prove you're drawing what you're supposed to draw. Could cheat in some scenarios. Draw a random basic from my deck, uh yeah I just have 1 basic in there. Oh and it's exactly what I needed to win the game.
So, I main Alakazam and I think replacing both Sigilyphs for Drud is way, way better. You have enough card drawing with Professors and Slab, and Drud allows you to gain significant advantages in the Mewtwo and Zard matchups, which you otherwise would find difficult.
I like it. Our lists are 80% the same. Im using 2 drudd > sigilyph and 2 leaf > x speed and 1 giovanni. Definitely gotta try your variant and see if it feels more consistent
I am going to share a tactic I came up with (or at least haven’t seen anyone use anywhere nor talk about). Porygon’s analytics with double slabs. Save it in the hand until you got the slabs to help you use them. Maybe throw a sigilyph for faster draws. I haven’t lost in my gengar deck I made with this.
It counts the extra energy. Alakazam is one of my favorite gen 1 pokemon. And machamp (the trade evos hold a special place in my heart) so I’ve been playing a zam deck since the app was released and I could build it 😅
Honest to God I made almost the exact same deck 2 day ago. I just don't run xspeed, I run leaf instead. It's really good into Gyara ex, Celebi ex, counters Mewtwo with Mew and I can even consistently beat the new Golem deck
Can you share your deck? I'm currently running 2 Alakazam lines/2 druddigon/1 mew/1 Mewtwo/2 PokeBall/2 oak/ 2 Sabrina/2 Giovanni/1 leaf/1 budding exp I want to add mythical slab(s) but idk what to remove
I’m still somehow missing 1 Mythical Slab and a Mew EX still but I just added a copy of Jynx for an extra Psychic Mon and added a 2nd X Speed and Sabrina to replace the Slab and the Explorer and it was still performing really well, I love the buffs that all the other Psychic decks got with Sigilyph, and Slab
I play with one Gardivor an it definitely feels really consistent I often run out of cards to draw before the end of the match so I always find everything I need to win
Instead of Sigilyph, I run 2 Druddigons, with all 3 energy as well since Alakazam only takes 1 psychic energy, you can also only run it with only psychic energy and use Drud as a wall
Could it be that in the first game you waited so long for slab that you did not actually have any pokemon left in the deck 😂. No criticism, just something funny I noticed
I had a match where I got 1 heads out of 10 with Celebi. Needless to say my friendship with that deck is done. Switched to Zam and Mew and I immediately have more success. A Psychic setup that doesn't involve Gardevoir or Mewtwo? Sign me up
Playing a ex card is not a good idea with the whole abra line up in my opinion, but maybe the return to hand would be the best way to go , giving up two points for a ex loose is risk.
I've got a very similar deck to this one, except I do have 2 of each of Gardevoir line and did not have sigilyph. Also, I only got 7 non-pokemon cards on my deck so that every time i use slab, I get higher chance of drawing a psychic pokemon
Alternatively I use gard line (one copy for each mon) instead of both sigs and x speed. Idk how much better that is then this but it feels really reliable
Shouldn't you play slab after pokeball? That way if you get a non-psychic, it stays at the bottom of your deck, increasing your odds of getting psychic next turn as you''ve essentially made your deck 19 cards
Since no one's made a comment like this yet, I guess I'll have to be the one to do it... *clears throat* Return the slab.... Return the slab... Or suffer my curse....
I keep pairing Alakazam with Exeggutor EX. It is solid. Also, with the new Exeggcute, it is no longer necessary to use grass energy. Many times the right energy does not appear and you lose games when playing with multicolor decks... So now you can potentially use Exeggcutor EX in every deck
Im on a quest to get all 1 star pokemon. I have few pokemon left just waiting for trading to come out. Edit: If you have one of these Eevee, Weezing, Porigon, Dedenne or Vaporeon 1 star and want to trade it for one of these 1 star Cubone, Bulbasaur, Bulbasaur, Pinsir, Exeggutor, Salandit, Salandit or Alakazam then let me know.
Just letting you know you have severely underestimated marshadow hitmon. I way watched the video you made the decision with and been playing with it at a 90% win rate
Yano, hot take: I think streamers should hurt people’s feelings more often 🤷♀️ like, don’t be a dick by any means, but if people are being clowns then they should be publicly called out
Incorrect. The best Alakazam deck runs a single Porygon to guarantee that Mythical Slab succeeds, as well as to check whether to shuffle the deck with Poké Ball. I've reached the 45 event wins with a positive win rate using my "PorySlab" deck, including a win against an opponent who had flipped eight heads with Misty onto their Gyarados EX. (The Mew tech is cool, I might consider running it over Beheeyem in my build. Love seeing some quality Slab gaming!)
wheni Flip4/4 heads to 1 shot the charizard thats got full energy its all skill and when i got 14/14 tails to not kill the staryu that was placed there the game is just rigged against me
I think the funniest part was the guy bragging about 8 hours 😂 I know people that sped run it and it was 4-6. So if we’re talking about people trying to finish it fast he sucks lmao

Oh poor butt hurt person. Just play the game. You literally have so long to get 45 wins. Bro was like I cleared it in 8 hours. That's not the point. You just had good RNG and every meta deck you could possibly run. There was no skill involved. Bro Unsubbed that's hilarious! I mean it's funny that they were called out. If you think about it, you know what they used and the RNG they got. There's no skill in the game. It's just RNG. Though the skill that can be on display is knowing when to do if your RNG is terrible. Like my 95% of the time yet have I ever gotten more than one head on a Misty. Or one round KO with an Eevee. Maybe someday maybe someday
Alakazam does count the extra energy from Serperior. I did 600 damage to Celebi one time 😂
oh my goodness that's crazy
Yeah I just did 400 to a celebi and I could tell that the opponent was mentally destroyed too
And that to without any coin flips
Oh! That's good to know.
Can confirm, just did 360 damage. Coming off a 8 tails and 2 heads flip no less 😂

It’s not even a word. It’s more like a…. Feeling. An instinct.
Hearing the content cowboy call out that poor sport has officially gotten me to sub.
I come from Yu-Gi-Oh so being able to use pokeball with no target is kinda crazy to me

Idk but my technique when using the slab was I kept on monitoring how many psychic-type cards vs trainer/item/support cards was out.
Alakazam is my favorite at the moment. One of my favorite Meta counters with Koga/weezing and hypno
What’s your build for that if you don’t mind?
Hypno is ass

I love this deck, I beat a celebi player who didn’t care about stacking his energy and ended up losing lol
Not being able to see Jake spin in his chair has been having an effect on my mental health.
Idk how much longer I'll be able to take this abuse.
What are your thought about Slab and Scope?
Thoughts on beheeyem + alakazam?
Or now that slab is in the game would it be now better to run gardevoir line?
I play with one Gardivor an it definitely feels really consistent I often run out of cards to draw before the end of the match so I always find everything I need to win
Instead of Sigilyph, I run 2 Druddigons, with all 3 energy as well since Alakazam only takes 1 psychic energy, you can also only run it with only psychic energy and use Drud as a wall
