Nice looking bit of kit.
$800 for an ambient speaker? I think not. Looks cool and kinda futuristic though. A definite conversation piece.
At that price think of the needle you could get. Holy moly
@@michaelmcclelland2896 Or the phono stage.
Looks like the top of an artillery shell.
If a NASA space capsule and a lava lamp had a baby, this is what it would look like. Instantly cooooooooooooooooooooooooooool, daddio. :)
😂😂😂👍
In 1969 I bought the mono single Get Back by the Beatles. My school friend was given as a present the Beatles stereo album Let It Be when it came out, which has a live version of Get Back on it. When I heard the stereo version on the album I was blown away. There was Paul coming out of the left hand speaker and there was John coming out of the right hand speaker with Ringo in the middle. I got my own copy of Let It Be and did not play it on the Dansette but waited until I had my first (semi) hifi system a year later. I've been interested in hifi ever since. Lovely as that speaker looks, it couldn't replace my Monitor Audio stereo Speakers. Incidentally, It would be great if you could do a video on playing mono records with a mono cartridge. Your one on 78's influenced me and I went and bought some Bing and some Fats Waller😊. We play them on Rich's BSR autochanger!
YES!!!! I need to do that. I’ve had my eye on a few mono carts with that exact show idea in mind
4:08 The great care put into the protective packaging is very impressive and sets the manufacturer apart from many other manufacturers, but much like its cool design, the price is a bit out of this world when there are far more affordable Bluetooth speakers out there (Monster, Bugani, JBL, etc.) with better sound quality too.
Buuuuuuuut my link WILL get you 50% off
@@Recordology Wow! That is a great link indeed then. I stand corrected. :)
The green color certainly does favours to this device.
The white and black ones just make it look like a gimmicky, new product that won't last you long. The green, on the other hand, makes it look straight from the '70s!
What a difference.
A lot of people are calling this a pyramid speaker, but it's really a cone speaker design (since a pyramid has three or four triangular faces). It's certainly very modern for sure.
It looks like a NASA Apollo mission nose cone from a rocket or from a missile. :)
True lol
Oh man…I have to have one. I have a pyramid obsession lol.
Thank you for showing this!
I absolutely LOVE THIS!!! 🤘❤️
its a symbol for stability/longevity, and a reach towards divinity. like the mountains that inspired its use in design.
Zenith "Circle Of Sound" 2: Now it's A Cone?
That’s a cool looking audio device (I can’t just call it a speaker). Was there any difference between using the Bluetooth connection vs the line input?
Several years ago, Techmoan did a video on a Harmon Karden Aura speaker. If you haven't seen it, I recommend it. I looked up their web page and I found it amusing, if slightly absurd. Some quotes: "The TreSound1 is designed for the modern people of this century who live a fast-paced life style. Simultaneously, it allows them to find a place to relax and enjoy soothing music" "Therefore, a master is the unity of body, mind and spirit, we call it "Psychic Communion."
😂
Looks like the tip of a MIRV nuke
Lol
It looks like an Audio Dunce Cap
😂😂😂
@@Recordology Puts some lights around it at Christmas time and make it look like a Christmas tree! 😄🎄
It looks like a nacelle. Which is either the front of a propeller, or the front of the turbo shaft and vanes inside a jet engine.
It does look like a nacelle :)
Beautiful speaker with excellent fit and finish. For a Bluetooth speaker, $399 is too much money for me. The regular price of $799? You can get a very nice pair of powered speakers.
Record ology join your HiF. Mid century from space true sound it is os cool
$800 will get you a bunch of subwoofers and several big midrange speakers. You just can’t get that sound from any speaker the size of this one, so the price is WAY to steep! 👍👍👍
Record ology join the sound good
To me it looks like a ballpoint/gel pen (when turned upside down). The red/white light being the part that touches the paper. Just saying! Don't quire see the reasoning for it being a mono speaker especially for the price - I realise that most Bluetooth speakers are, but surely it doesn't make the best of the sound? One quick question - would changing the volume (and/or equaliser) on the source you are using allow you to adjust the sound in the ways you want it; or is that not the case? Just a thought!. (PS hope you were able to get the manual for the Technics via the link I provided. If not there are probably other sources you could try - be aware not all are free, however. But if you print the PDF out it will almost be a manual). Sorry to point out the obvious.
Oh yes thank you so much!!!!!
@@Recordology Great! (I wasn't sure as the comment isn't showing any more - not sure why)!
It looks every Egyptian, the price is $399 on the site now.
Does it work with Google or Alexa?
Incidentally, they show a photograph of a young woman doing stretching exercises on the beach. She has a TreSound1. Shouldn't it be enough to hear the ocean? They say that it is good for ambient sound, so the roar of the ocean would drown the music. I don't think that the device has a battery, so she must have a long extension cable.
Unfortunately Apple Music doesn’t offer lossless audio over Bluetooth so the only way you can listen to lossless Bluetooth audio is with some high end androids.
Dude, that's totally a nuclear warhead.
Hahaha! That was my thought too when I first saw it unboxed in this video. :)
well the price is in orbit
Record ology join good for a cellphone with Bluetooth
💿
What 800.00 whaaaaa..Good luck.
Well the link gives 50% off 😜
$700? I guess you're paying for the unique design and the R&D that went into creating this beautiful but overpriced beast. Which sounds better than I expected it would, so that's a plus. But $700? I would think closer to around $450 - $500 would be a fair price.
It looks like it’s all plastic with more plastic wrapping it in the box.
Actually there is no plastic. 100% metal and wood
